PROJECT OBJECTIVES

You will identify and assess the role of prominent

(important) persons in North Carolina, past and

present. Along with producing work that follows the

conventions of particular genre such as writing a

letter to a company or person in which you would

like pursue in the near future.

PRE-ASSESSMENT

You will complete the concept /question board.

This will determine what you already know about

North Carolinian Indians and people, and what you

would like to learn about them. We will move the

virtual sticky notes throughout our discovery.

POST ASSESSMENT

You will complete a power point presentation including these

items: your graphic organizers of the North Carolinians men

and women’s roles, a list of occupations today, your letters to

the company, and any responses received back. You will learn

how to scan letters and responses onto your power point. You

will also have a summary of what you learned, from gathering

your information on your graphic organizers to the letters you

have written to the occupation of your choice.
