The transnational project meeting was held
in Lodz, from the 27th of May to the 1st of
June 2017.
Unfortunately, this was the last transnational
meeting planned in our project. Teachers
from partner schools in Bari, Braila and Lodz
had a chance to sum up and evaluate the
outcomes and activities carried out during the
two years.
It was also a great opportunity to discuss our
latest products, such as: the booklet, the dic-
tionary of linguistic abbreviations and popular
icons and the project website.
Moreover, the participants discussed our further
cooperation in implementation of the project.
During these few days, apart from meetings, dis-
cussions and exchanging experiences and good
practices we also organized other summing up
events.
The closing ceremony was held on the 31st of
May 2017. Not only was the event an excellent
occasion to remind the audience of the main pur-
pose of our project, but it was also a chance to
present its products. Our guests could see the
newsletters, our dictionary of linguistic abbrevia-
tions, the booklet as well as our presentations and
films created by the international project team.
The exhibition of photos showing activities
performed in the project let
the visitors know more about
it.

called ” The History of Communication”. Our students
sang a few songs, too.
During the event the project coordinator thanked people in-

ERASMUS+ DICTIONARY AND OUR STUDENTS’ FINAL THOUGHTS
I consider my work on the dictionary very useful because I understand what you
need to do such a book. I have also learnt what every emoticon means and I
enjoy it. (Gagu Teodora, XA)
The making of this dictionary helped me learn a few words in both Italian and
Polish and the fact that it was about emoticons, which we use on a daily basis,
made the whole activity even more enjoyable! (Dascalu Andreea, XIF)
To my mind, this dictionary is more useful than an ordinary one and it helps you
to express your emotions without words. Also, what I enjoyed most was the fact
that I learnt some new words in two different languages, Italian and Polish, guid-
ed by my friends from Bari and Lodz. (Rusen Ana-Maria, XIF)
It was a pretty interesting experience that involved the team work with my Italian friend. Also, I never thought
that it would be so difficult to find such common things like emotion codes. (Duma Andrei, XG)
For me, the design of this emoticons dictionary represents much more than just searching for information on
the Internet. It involved collaboration, team work and understanding between the group members. I also
learned how to listen to people and take into account the ideas of those around me and I think that this expe-
rience made me a more understanding and open-minded person. I believe that this was an opportunity to
know my teammates better and to realize the fact that groups always make better decisions than individuals.
To sum up, this is exactly what I mean by a successful communication. (Sterea Diana, XA)
Being involved in this interesting activity has been a great challenge as I had to communicate more effectively
with my mates trying to find interactive ways of communication and take into account their opinions. I hope
that it will be a helpful and successful final product of the Erasmus+ project. Last but not least, we all enjoy
our lasting friendships. (Pîrlog Patricia, XID)
It was great to communicate with my Italian and Polish friends in order to create this Dictionary for our pro-
ject, “SUCCESSFUL COMMUNICATION – THE FUTURE OF EUROPE” 2015-2017. I understood how im-
portant emoticons are for a good dialogue and a successful communication, too. (Băcanu Maria, XIIE)
This part of the project helped me to learn that there are many ways to communicate. For example, communi-
cation through icons is truly interesting because we do not use any words but still understand each other, this
is what it makes it to be a successful way to communicate. (Buricea Ana Maria, XD)

Creating the dictionary of linguistic abbreviations and popular icons was one of our last
activities. Here are some thoughts of the Romanian students who were involved in it.

AND NOW IT’S TIME FOR TEACHERS ...
And now it’s our turn! The
teachers involved in the Eras-
mus Plus Project, carried out
in the last two years.
I consider this experience
unforgettable, a new way of
learning, working and improv-
ing different styles of life.
I think that it is important for
teachers to get through this
kind of experience because
for a European system of
teaching we need to work
together. Knowledge about
foreign cultures, in a world
that is getting more and
more globalized, gives
teachers the chance to edu-
cate students to become
understanding, self-
confident, independent, open
hearted and open minded.
Thanks to those people who
gave me this opportunity,
thanks again to the Polish
and Romanian colleagues
and to all the students.
Shall we meet again? Who
knows!!!!
A warm embrace to every-
body.

Successful communication is a
basic and transversal skill that
encourages active participation
in the contemporary society.
Young people have to be aware
of this role and they have to use
digital forms of communication
in a more appropriate way. We

digital sector into Teaching/

thinking. Thank you very much

I`ve taken part in the Erasmus

have been delighted I could
meet many wonderful people.
The project enabled me to
see how European teachers
work. I could observe stu-
dents who eagerly participat-
ed in various activities. The
atmosphere created by all the
participants was amazing.
People supported and helped

The Erasmus+ Project
“SUCCESSFUL COMMUNICA-
TION – THE FUTURE OF EU-
ROPE”, which has just finished has
proved a great teaching experience
for all the teachers involved in it.
For two years, Polish, Romanian
and Italian teachers have shared
professional and socio-cultural
knowledge, have designed different
learning activities to cater for all
types of learners which ultimately
have led to motivating their stu-
dents to communicate in English, to
better their accuracy, their fluency
in English.
As a member of the Romanian pro-
ject team I got involved in different
teaching-learning activities which
took place during the mobility in
Romania, mostly (November,
2017) . For a week I had a chance
to meet Polish and Italian students,
to talk to them and I had the pleas-
ure to discover that regardless their
nationality all these teenagers
share the same joy, the same curiosity,
the same interest in learning English
and not only: they were eager to let the
others know something about their
country, their customs and traditions,
their local and national identity by ex-
ploring different places in their towns
and countries, in other words they did
communicate in different ways.
To me the most important feedback
was actually the reaction of my stu-
dents who were happy to have been
given the chance to take part in the
activities of the project, to make new
friends, to practise their English outside
the classroom, to see that they have
many things in common with other
teenagers miles and miles away.

Effective communication is one of the most important as-
pects of life. This skill is essential to achieve success
both in education and, in general, in everyday situations.
That’s why, I think that the project and its implementation
was so important and useful. Participants of the project
could learn more about the history of communication, find
the meaning of their body-language and develop their
creativity in activities such as: presentations, films or the
theatre workshops. The dictionary of linguistic abbrevia-
tions and popular icons turned out to be helpful for stu-
dents and teachers as well. But the greatest value was to
meet new people from the schools involved in the project.
Thanks to mobilities, we could experience new culture,
get to know their partners’ schools, cities and traditions.
We, teachers, could exchange good practices and learn
new solutions and methods of teaching. Personally, I think
that this project has allowed me to gain new experience
and learn new things. It was sometimes difficult to follow the
schedule of the project, lots of work, but now I'm sure it was
worth taking part in it.
Thank you very much to all Italian, Romanian and Polish
teachers who cooperated with me and supported me during
the implementation of the project. Thanks to all the students
eagerly participating in our project activities. You’ve done a
good job! Successful communication turned out to be not
only necessity, but
also pure pleasure to
me and I hope to all
participants.
