POS TRANSACTION DATA MIGRATION

SAP provided a report to migrate POS transaction data from SAP POS DM 1.0

on RDBMS to SAP POS DM 1.0 on SAP NetWeaver BW powered by SAP

HANA

There are two types of data migration from source to target system

1. Local Migration

In this type of migration, the POS Transaction Data Migration Report is executed

on the target system ( BW on HANA). It reads transaction data from the local

/POSDW/TLOGS or /POSDW/TLOGL tables and writes the transaction data to

the local /POSDW/TLOGF table in the target system

2. Remote migration

The POS Transaction Data Migration Report is executed on the source system. It

reads transaction data from the local /POSDW/TLOGS or /POSDW/TLOGL tables

and writes the transaction data to the remote /POSDW/TLOGF table in the target

system.

system

• Perform a full regression test with the sandbox

• Spending a lot of time in the sandbox getting it right will let you
