South Campus Apartment LivingIt’s easy to feel at home at Vulcan Village, Cal U’s garden-styleapartment complex. Located next to Adamson Stadium, just 1.5 milesfrom main campus, these 10 three-story buildings offer unsurpassedcomfort and convenience in an independent setting. Each private,air-conditioned unit features a fully furnished living room, diningroom and kitchen, complete with a full-size range, microwave,refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal and full-size washer and dryer. High-speed Internet, telephone and cable connections are provided in each bedroom, and the property has wireless Internetaccess. In most cases, you may choose your roommate.
Life on the “Hill.”Vulcan Village offers a computerlab with printing capabilities, a fully equipped fitness center,media room, a clubhouse withpool table and foosball table, and a convenience store whereyou can pick up basic necessitiesand made-to-order sandwiches.Other amenities include outdoorsand volleyball, wireless Internet,basketball courts and an outdoorswimming pool. Main Campus Suite Life The six smoke-free, co-ed residence halls located in theheart of Cal U’s main campusget high marks from both students and parents. All unitsare more spacious than the
average “dorm room,” with air conditioning, carpeting, personal mailboxes, cable TV hookups and free high-speedInternet access. Most students share a bathroom with onlyone other person, and never more than three others. Eachroom is furnished with contemporary, moveable furniture,including beds, desks, chairs, nightstands and bookshelves.Many suites include a completely furnished living room area,giving you plenty of room to hang out.
Loads of amenities Each residence hall is equipped with a computer lab, communityroom, TV area with large-screen TV and DVD player, a full kitchen,game area and vending machines. There are lounges and studyrooms on every floor, along with recycling areas and a laundry room.
Students have the opportunity to live in the state-of-the-art HonorsResidence Hall if they desire. The hall provides easy access to theUniversity Honors Program offices, computer labs and study roomsreserved exclusively for honors students. Some residents find theycan fully participate in the University Honors Program community by living here, because first-year students live and socialize withhonors upperclassmen. But regardless of where they live, all honorsstudents receive the program’s many benefits.
