Introduction

New gold occurrences and potential copper and nickel-bearing strata has strike extension across the English property. Preliminary prospecting and geological mapping as well as detailed magnetic and VLF-EM surveying has been completed on the property. Detailed geological mapping followed by trenching, selective soil geochemistry, I.P. surveying and diamond drilling with the objective of discovering an economically viable gold or base metal orebody are recommended as the next phase of exploration.

Location

The English property is located 38 kms. south of Timmins, Ontario in the east half of English township and the northeast portion of Semple township. Numerous logging roads provide vehicle access to the majority of the property. The property lies within the M.N.R. administrative district of Sudbury and the mining division of Porcupine.

List of Claims and Ownership

The English property is three claim blocks; the north, central and south (A,B and C respectively) consisting of 67 unpatent mining claims registered in the name of Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. No option agreements or contractual obligations apply to this property. This report accompanies magnetic and VLF-EM data specific to the "C" claim block and grid totalling 21 claims.

ll

The following is a list of claims comprising the "C" claimblock: P 1155886 to P 1155891 inclusive.

P 1147258 to P 1147272 inclusive.

General Geology

The area is underlain by metavolcanic, metasedimentary and metamorphosed mafic intrusive rock which is the southern extension of the Deloro and Tisdale groups of rocks which are important hosts to numerous gold and nickel orebodies in the Timmins mining district. A number of metal occurrences have been reported in the vicinity of the property with the Texmont nickel deposit 10 km to the north and the recently explored HSK Minerals gold occurrence 8 km to the west being of significance. Property geology consists of a sequence of northeast striking felsic tuff and agglomerate with intercolated oxide and sulphide facies iron formation which is stratigraphically overlain to the east by mafic and ultramafic flows which contain pyritic, green carbonate units. These rocks are intruded by mafic and ultramafic sills and diabase dykes and all rocks are affected by northwest trending faults.

Previous Exploration

The majority of exploration work has been conducted by ten companies; Dominion Gulf 1952, Hollinger Consolidated GML 1962, Inco (Texmont option) 1966, Dowa Mining Co. Ltd. 1972, Granges 1972, Essex Minerals Co. 1977, Amax 1982, Chevron 1984, Dome Mines Ltd. 1987 and Esso Minerals 1988. Dominion Gulf conducted ground geology and magnetic surveys looking for sulphide hosted nickel deposits at the north part of the property and Inco drilled a number of holes just north of the English property which tested sulphide occurrences for their nickel content. Hollinger conducted extensive ground geological, magnetic and electromagnetic surveying and drilled a number of electromagnetic anomalies primarily in Semple township and to a lesser extent in the southern part of English township. Dowa drilled a single hole at the northeast part of English township to intersect an electromagnetic anomaly. The hole contained rhyolite with a 32 m thick sulphide-rich section containing pyrite, pyrrhotite and traces of chalcopyrite however only semiquantitative analyses of three samples are available from this hole. A second hole by Dowa in northeast Semple township failed to intersect sulphide-rich rock. Granges conducted an airborne Input electromagnetic survey over a large area covering the property however no ground follow up work was recorded in English township. Essex, Dome and Chevron conducted various ground geological, magnetic and electromagnetic surveys over the southeast portion of English and northeast portion of Semple townships. No followup diamond drilling was recorded by these companies. Amax completed reconnaissance geological mapping of iron formation within small claim blocks at the north and south parts of English township. A sample of pyritic iron formation from the northeast part of Semple township within the English property is reported to

f.'i t

have contained 5.48 grams of gold per ton however no further work is reported in government assessment files. Esso re-established part of a grid cut by Chevron in 1984 and completed geological mapping, a limited amount of induced polarization surveying and outcrop trenching within the east-central part of English township. Gold values up to 525 ppb were obtained from pyritic iron formation and up to 1200 ppb from pyritic "basalt" associated with carbonate altered ultramafic rocks. During 1990 the W. Bruce Syndicate discovered a pyritic gold occurrence located between the Tri Origin A and B claim groups which is anomalous in gold.

Tri Origin has completed initial prospecting and data compilation on the A,B and C claim groups. Preliminary sampling of all sulphide-bearing units observed in outcrop returned anomalous gold values ranging from 127 to 525 ppb.

Past work on the English property has consisted almost exclusively of ground geological and geophysical surveying with a lack of followup diamond drilling. Undrilled gold showings occur on the property as do numerous untested geophysical anomalies. Additionally, the Ontario Geological Survey has released a detailed airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey which covers the English property.

L i r. e cut t ing

Linecutting was contracted to Georgex Exploration Contractors, 353 Railway St., Timmins, Ont. A total of 35.03 kilometres of line was cut covering the "C" claim block during May 1991. Lines were oriented at an azimuth of 020 degrees, spaced at ICO metre intervals and picketed every 25 metres. A base line is located at 0+00 north, azimuth 110 degrees and a tie line at 1600 north, azimuth 110 degrees. This grid is rotated approximately 90 degrees to previously cut grids due to structural complexities observed in outcrop indicating a variable but generally north of west strike direction.

Magnetic and VLF-EM Survey Results

Ground geophysics was contracted to Mertens MacNeil Geophysical Ground Surveys Ltd., Box 1682, Guelph, Ont. Survey parameters are listed in appendix 1.

Total field magnetic data and contoured values at 50 nT are illustrated on map l (attached). Rock units as expressed by contoured values appear to strike at approximately 310 degrees. A northwest-trending fault separates an area of low magnetic relief from one of high magnetic relief at 900N. Ultramafic rock observed near this fault is believed to account for the relatively high magnetic relief. Farther to the northeast at line O near 1550N magnetic values become lower with only isolated magnetic highs occuring in the northeast part of the property. Sulphide-bearing rock within felsic and intermediate volcanic rocks near line O at

100S, 230S and line 1W at 650S correalate with magnetic highs.VLF-EM data and profiles are illustrated on map 2 and Fraser

filter calculated values and contours at 2 unit intervals are illustrated on map 3. VLF anomalies associated with airborne geophysical responses (OGS maps 81397 and 81400) occur near lines 2E at 1800N and 1W at 19N. A distinct VLF anomaly near line O at 16N correalates with an interpreted contact between ultramafic and felsic to intermediate volcanic rocks and isolated anomalies near 900 and 1000N may correalate with a northwest-trending fault or pyritic rock observed in trenches near line 1W at 900N. VLF anomalies at the south part of the property near line 5W at 100S, 3W at 700S, IE at 600S and 2E at 500S are unexplained however may be related to sulphide-bearing rock observed in outcrop on lines O and 1W.

Dear Dale,

This letter is in clarification of assessment report* filed June 13 and 14, 1991, government transaction numbers H9160.00216,217 and 218. I vims author of reports regarding the above assessment work and supervised all work conducted on the property. Supervision involved meetings with the contractors, both befor* and after the ground surveys were completed a* well as field visits to the properties during March and May of 1991 to check ground conditions, instrumentation and general progress of the surveys.

Consideration of the results of these surveys leads to the following recommendations for further work;1. Prospecting and geological mapping of VLF-EM anomalies and

significant magnetic trends.2. Trenching of geophysical anomalies where overburden thickness

permits.3. Induced Polarization surveying of significant anomalies as

determined by l and 2 (above).4. Diamond drilling of induced polarization anomalies.

Yours truly,

Robert Valliant
