Reconnect Program

Reconnect Program Located at the social services building, the Reconnect Program is a six-bed drug and alcohol recovery program for men. The maximum stay for each individual is 90 days, but sometimes that can be extended based on circumstances. The program teaches essential life skills to a successful life including financial counseling, job skill training, and one

on one therapy sessions. The group has daily scripture lessons through the Recovery Bible and must attend AA or NA meetings. The Salvation Army partners with Christian Men’s Job Corps and Alamo Workforce to aid in job placement for graduates of the program. The men are chosen by referrals from family, friends, or the

court system. The cost of this program is free for each man. The Salvation Army pays for this program through monetary donations from the community. The program strives to prepare each individual for a positive future by giving them the tools they need to succeed as they leave the Army’s care and go back into the world.
