I came from Guangzhou, China, to start the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program in 2003. At that time, I made the
decision to join the Co-op program option. Co-ops allow students to gain valuable professional work experience while completing their
degrees. You might think that a Co-op delays your education, but it’s really not the case. My one year Co-op work term expanded my
professional network and opened the door to future full-time employment in my field. Now, I’m a Chartered Professional
Accountant, and have taken up a leadership position with a major provincial not-for-profit. I love what I do! My employer fully
funded my return to the UofR to complete the Executive Master of Business Administration degree, which was
an incredible experience. Studying at the UofR was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
