Bill Rea, liturgist God of promise, forgive your people when your dreams of shalom for all are co-opted by yearnings for earthly kingdoms. Give us the courage to name the sins which continue to distort our lives. May our life together bless all creation with your shalom – a life in which every person experiences dignity, well-being, wholeness, peace, justice. Forgive us. Renew us, transform us, we pray – that we may truly become the blessing you have called us to be.

Silence is kept

Lord, Listen to Your Children Praying Nº 469

God calls us into a new future, and promises to be with us as we journey. Beloved of God, believe the good news of the gospel. In Jesus Christ we are forgiven!

The peace of Christ be with you. And also with you!

Please greet those around you with the peace of Christ.

Amen (sing three times) Nº 600

God Is So Good Nº 658

from The Confession of 1967We believe in our Sovereign God who rules in Jesus Christ and stirs hope in us all. With an urgency born of this hope, we, the church, apply ourselves to present tasks and strive for a better world. We do not identify limited progress with the reign of God on earth, nor despair in the face of disappointment and defeat. In steadfast hope, the church looks beyond all partial achievement to the final triumph of God.

Mira Song Cantor, Adam Ramaley Malotte

Please join in singing as you are able

A SPECIAL WELCOME TO ALL NEWCOMERS: we greet you in the name of Jesus Christ! Please fill out a Visitor Card, located in the pew back, and drop it in the Offering Plate when it is passed.

ADULT EDUCATION CLASS will be taking a break during the month of July. Have a wonderful summer!

THIS MORNING’S CHORAL OFFERINGS are by two English composers, Gustav Holst and Thomas Tallis. Gustav was a 20th century composer from England, most famous for the symphonic tone poem “The Planets.” Thomas was the chapel organist for King Henry VIII.

Well, what happens there? All are invited to learn about the bi-annual gathering of Presbyterians as they discuss and vote on a variety of issues - immigration, fossil fuels, church polity, and more!

If you feel you can no longer do the build tasks, another option to help Habitat is to volunteer at the Beaverton ReStore. O Lord My God Nº 625 Rev. Jeff Binder and Rev. Theo Baek

Let us go from this place in the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace. May God bless us with strength to seek justice. May God bless us with wisdom to care for the earth. May God bless us with courage to live together in unity. May the grace of Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the Communion of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Alleluia! Amen.

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty arr. Rick Parks
