Looking for inspiration? Explore the dynamic world of mixed media art during this two-day workshop with accomplished artist/author/educator Lisa L. Cyr. demonstrations and hands-on experiences in two and three dimensions will offer an array of exciting possibilities for artists at all levels to explore. She writes for many of the creative industry’s leading publications and has authored seven books on art and design, including Experimental Painting and Art Revolution. $125; $95 members.

This exciting week-long experience moves beyond traditional approaches to developing ideas for future artworks by using diverse new ways to engage and ignite creative thinking. award-winning illustrator/writer/educator Whitney Sherman will lead daily exercises designed to open up new ways of seeing—each with solid foundations in the history of art making. Whitney Sherman is the author of Playing with Sketches: 50 Creative Exercises for Designers and Artists, and the director of the MFa in illustration Practice at the Maryland institute College of art. Her work has been published in The New York Times, Business Week, Washington Post, and by such national institutions as the United States Postal Service (Breast Cancer Research Stamp), ad Council, and american Red Cross. $230, $195 members.
