2019 Weekly SChedule our garden teacher and herbalist/beekeeper Sarah Shepherd will be here every thursday through out the season to enhance and deepen our garden experiences. m July 1 - July 5 SliMe/SCienCe exPeriMent CAMP And PArAde Week Each day we will create different types of slime and experiment with many “add ins” including edible slime as well as a few other fun science experiments. We are open the fourth of July until 12 as we march in the Southold town parade as a group with parents. Free hot dogs, soda, and popcorn at the end of the parade route (legion hall). m July 8 - July 12 hulA hooP CAMP With loCAl hooP dAnCe ArtiSt diAne CAnCellieri Make your own hula hoop to take home on Friday, learn how to hoop dance, play fun hoop games and learn new tricks. Great exercise and healthy habit! (Keep Diane in mind for parties and special occasions her parties are legendary!) www.hipkidshoops.com m July 15 - 19 eAt froM the rAinboW Week #1 feAturing loCAl fArMS Organically grown, locally sourced cooking camp features the colors of the rainbow and a different local farmers recipe or harvest each day. Extremely yummy, messy, delicious, fun on the North Fork. m July 22 - 26 PAinting/Print MAking Week Using many different materials from nature, homemade paints, and brushes, campers will create one of a kind works of art to take home each day. m July 29 - AuguSt 2 environMentAl Art/SCulPture Week Using materials from nature and the farm landscape campers will create ephemeral works of art in the areas where we work and play to be photographed. This experience was so meaningful for campers last year that I’ve decided to offer it again. m AuguSt 5 - 9 eAt froM the rAinboW Week #2 “SAlt fAt ACid heAt” Inspired by Netflix Show staring Samin Nostrat) campers will experiment with these 4 elements in an exciting hands on exploration of the 4 basic keys to wonderful food creation and cooking skills for life! m AuguSt 12 - 16 bio-dynAMiC gArdening Week Everyday will be spent at our garden harvesting, playing games, making compost, nibbling from the garden, mixing up bio-dynamic preps and nature crafts to take home. Bring home veggies and Herbs everyday. m AuguSt 19 - 23 fiber ArtS CAMP Simple felting, weaving, silk dying, and sewing projects will be featured as well as natural dying, combing and carding wool, and a trip to 8 Hands farm sheep fold to see where wool comes from. We will eat snack and do a craft at the farm. Families can stay on the field trip or drop off and pick up at the farm. 9:30 am - 12 pm. m AuguSt 26 - 30 yogA Week With MAry hASel froM groW With Me yogA. Bend, stretch, and experience yoga in a playful way. Snacks during yoga week include fruit smoothies and juicing fresh fruits and veggies.
