SUMMER CAMP 2019 DISCOVER – IMAGINE – EXPLORE Imprints Cares Summer Camps are ready to start having a summer of Fun, Laughter, and (don’t tell the kids) Learning as we Discover new places and friends and let our Imagination run wild as we Explore whole new worlds. Imprints Cares Summer Camps have different themes each week, so no two weeks are the same – and for our returning campers, we strive to come up with new ideas so that this year’s Summer Camp is different than camps of the past. This year’s summer camp staff has been working hard to come up with unique and activity-packed weeks. We will keep our campers on-the-go all day long! Continue reading to see a list of our themes for this summer and a sneak peek at what each week will involve. Some of the sneak peeks will even reveal the field trips planned for the campers! (Our campers will go on an average of four field trips per week.) Basic Information About Imprints Cares Summer Camp Imprints Cares Summer Camps in Forsyth County (Winston-Salem Camp and Kernersville Camp) start on Wednesday, June 12 th and end on Friday, August 23 rd . Imprints Cares Davidson County Summer Camp will start on Monday, June 10 th and end on Friday, August 16 th . Our Winston-Salem, Kernersville and Davidson County Camps are typical camps designed for rising kindergarten through 6 th grade students. We also offer a camp for children with special needs at our Downtown Winston-Salem location. All four camps will experience these theme packed weeks! The downtown camp is modified to the abilities of the campers. (This summer camp summary is for our Winston-Salem, Kernersville and Davidson County camps. A separate summary is available for our downtown camp.) Our camps are divided into two teams by grade level. Rising kindergartens through rising 2 nd graders will be assigned to the Orange Team. The rising 3 rd through 6 th graders will be assigned to the Blue Team. Each team will work separately from each other. They will do a lot of the same activities, which will be modified for each age group. There will be occasions where the two teams do different activities and go on different field trips. New this year, we will be offering a specialized program for our rising kindergarten students during the first three weeks of camp. During this time, these students will be assigned to their own Yellow Team allowing them to acclimate to how camp works. Their activities will still be based on the theme of the week and go on the field trips with the Orange Team. This team will work on social, developmental and motor skills to help prepare them for the transition to the active life we call Summer Camp. Plus, this will help prepare them to transition to school life in kindergarten. After the first three weeks of camp, these rising kindergarteners will graduate to join the Orange Team. Next you will find a list of when each camp will be hosting each theme. After you read over these dates, continue on to see sneak peeks into our theme weeks.
