Day Camp is separated into age groups and features a rotation of diverse activities revolving around the weekly theme, including: indoor games, outdoor recreation, team challenges, structured and free swim, time in our interactive arcade, gaming tournaments, creative learning projects, arts & crafts, field trips, and SO MUCH more. You will not want to miss Camp Cheval this summer!

NEW! Every child has a different idea of fun. At Camp Cheval we value our campers’ opinions and feedback. Therefore, campers ages 7 and above will love our new “Choose Your Fun” program! Three days per week, kids will CHOOSE their activities for that day. These activities will include: aquatics, sports, arts & crafts, arcade gaming and MUCH more! We know that your child will come home a happy camper when they participate in activities that they choose!

Apply to be in our Internship Program at Cheval GAC. This program is limited to 10 students who are interested in working inside of the club, gaining leadership skills and valuable experience. NASA – Junior Astronaut Training Week 3 (6/22-6/26)We will be going to Mars in 25 years according to NASA. That puts our students at the right age to lead these exciting journeys, so let’s get a head start on training! This hands-on program designed with NASA, explores all atmosphere, solar system and space phenomena as well the forces of flight, living in space and the challenges of space travel. Children will build their own Sky Blazer rocket and experience a real rocket launch.

Spy Academy 1: Mission Impossible Week 5 (7/6-7/10)Here is where the “real” spy training starts, (our secret)... Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to decode secret messages using your own secret code breaker, and explore science of metal detection and night vision. You will step into the realm of international espionage and explore evidence gathering and analysis, in real crime/spy scenes. Find undercover ways of performing secret tasks. This message will self destruct in 5 seconds…

Spy Academy 2: Funky Forensics Week 8 (7/27-7/31) Suspects, schematics and sleuths.. Oh my! Connect the dots using science to help solve a crime in this hands-on investigation on the science of sleuthing. CSI and Mad Science make a great combination! Study a crime scene and tag parts. Find clues surrounding the scene and investigate a real who-dun-it! Make deductions and use your powers of observation and deduction!

Campers will learn to follow a recipe as well as make easy snacks and lunches. Kids will learn about menus, pricing, and service. They will also compete in secret ingredient challenges! The campers will interact with a real chef and tour the Prime 19 kitchen. On Friday, the campers will get to run their own café!

Local artist and illustrator, Leah Lopez, will show campers the exciting world of art and cartooning. Campers will learn how to draw cartoon characters, create their own characters and comic strips, and make special greeting cards. As an illustrator, Leah will share her illustration and character creation techniques that she used for creating the Tails of Fluffy McDuffy book series.

Campers will be outside for the majority of the week and swim on Thursday. Get ready to explore!

Creative YouAges: 7-12Dates: Week 7 (7/20-7/24) and Week 9 (8/3-8/7) Cost: $125 Cheval Members / $150 Non MembersTime: 1pm-4pmDo you love photography and videography? We will explore the creative YOU this week using those two art forms. Campers will need to bring their own camera to this camp (iPhone/iPod are sufficient). We will work with a professional photographer to learn how to snap the right shot. On Friday, campers will go home with their prints and a short video montage of their fun week.

This is where the arcade is exclusive to YOU only. Campers will enjoy fun arcade tournaments, challenges, and gaming secrets that will help them reach the next level. We will visit another arcade outside of the AC as well as split up the gaming with some aquatic fun throughout the week.

These campers will get to practice their motor and sensory skills while maintaining a safe and fun environment. The Best of Both Worlds!Now, campers who are registered for any half day specialty camp, can be upgraded to full day camp for an additional $75 for Cheval Members and $100 for non Members. What a great way to keep the fun going ALL DAY long!

BRICKS4KIDZ LEGO® MINECRAFT 1 & 2 Week 2 (6/15-6/19)Experience the world of Minecraft where we will start by crafting shelters and some of the mobs, critters and tools using LEGO® bricks. Campers will face new challenges each day, building motorized Bricks4Kidz models and crafting key elements from the popular Minecraft game. Campers will have the opportunity to build their own virtual Minecraft world on iPads before bringing their designs to life by building new mob figures, mosaics and custom models, incorporating LEGO® bricks.

BRICKS 4 KIDZ LEGO® TEENAGE MUTANT BRICK TURTLES Week 4 (6/29-7/3)Campers will become immersed in all things TMNT creating LEGO® brick figures of the characters, mosaics and motorized models representing these unique green superheroes from the sewers. Throughout the week, campers will rotate to different imagination stations within the class keeping them engaged and active all day long!

BRICKS 4 KIDZ LEGO® POCKET BRICK MONSTERS Week 7 (7/20-7/24)Tap into your inner engineer as we build Dratini, Pikachu, Poke Balls and much more with LEGO® bricks, mosaics and motorized models! NEW! Martial Arts NUNCHUCKS Camp Week 1 (6/8-6/12)Sensei Tuller’s number one priority is safety. She starts out with focusing on some of the beginner basics like figure eight patterns and passes, then branches into the intermediate realm of techniques, combinations and other exciting moves to help with focus, hand/eye coordination and skills. If you have never picked up a pair of nunchucks and have always been curious then this is the camp for you. Includes nunchucks, which the campers get to keep!

Martial Arts NERF Camp Week 3 (6/22-6/26)Ready, Aim, Fire! This week is all about NERF!! Campers will experience target practice, tactical training games, an obstacle course, and team building activities. Our favorite NERF games include: Capture the Flag, Hunger Games, Attack and Defend and Save the Sensei! With soft foam darts, protective eyewear for all participants, and played in a fun and controlled environment, this camp is for everyone!

Martial Arts “ALL BALL” Camp Week 6 (7/13-7/17)Campers will enjoy a week full of friendly competition and teamwork while playing games such as Nunchuck Baseball, Dodgeball, Volleyball, Crab Soccer and more! But this IS martial arts all ball camp…get ready to play like a ninja!

Martial Arts BELT Camp Week 8 (7/27-7/31)Martial arts students can work in an accelerated environment to earn their next stripes. Sensei Tuller will be awarding stripes at the end of camp to students who have achieved proficiency. Not a martial arts student? Try out martial arts for the week and earn those first stripes on your white belt. Friday will culminate with students being awarded their stripes or next belt.

NEW! Martial Arts AMERICAN GLADIATOR Camp Week 9 (8/3-8/7)Campers will compete against each other, as well as our own “Martial Arts Gladiators,” in a safe and friendly environment for girls and boys to become heroes of the ring! Campers will navigate obstacle courses, participate in jousting duels, tug-o-war and powerball to name a few.
