BreakdownMay 26-29: Bugs, Bugs, Bugs!

This week will be filled exploring the microscopic world of creepy crawlies! Campers will get to  learn about different types of insects and arachnids including ladybugs, bees, spiders, and more! Crafts will include making glow in the dark lightning bugs, egg carton insects, and pipe cleaner

spiders! The campers will also spend plenty of time outside hunting down live insec ts to study and observe. We’ll try to keep the bugs away when we have our indoor camp cookout, complete with hotdogs and smores!

June 1-5: I’m Not Afraid of MonstersWhether you have one eye, two eyes, or ten eyes, you will be ready to dive into this week of Camp Blast! This week will look at symmetry in mathematics as well as monster science experiments. Will we be able to find the Loch Ness Monster or the Abominable Snowman? We will look at

finding the truth behind some of these famous myths and create snacks fit for our monstrous appetite. Mike and Sully wish they could pop in to make you laugh this week! This week will culminate with creating a tie-dye pillowcase to remind you of our not so scary week of monsters.

June 8-12: Where Is My Super Suit?Shazam! Bam! Pow! The comic books come to life right before your eyes this week! Adventure awaits each camper stepping into Stan Lee’s X-Men series or Batman’s Gotham City. No corrupt villain will get past our superheroes! As the excitement builds, one never knows who might drop in.

Campers should be on the lookout to meet some of their favorite heroes, such as Batman, Superman, or Captain America. Campers will morph into a unique superhero of their own making. Whether you have the powers of making capes, shields, masks, or comic books, this is a week for SUPER campers!

June 16-19: Can you Crack the Code? Calling all recruits! Have you ever wanted to be a spy? Do you have a talent for figuring out mysteries and keeping secrets? Develop your own unique disguise as you go on undercover operations. Create and use a variety of spy gadgets. Learn how to make and break secret codes using

math and science. Sherlock Holmes himself would be proud of our camp detectives. Each day will be action packed with top-secret missions and mysteries to be solved. This week will culminate with students using their spy-training to crack the secrets of an escape room! Our campers hard work will be rewarded this week with a visit from Marley’s Ice Snow Cones!

June 22-26: Back to the FutureWhether we’re traveling back 4.5 billion years to the earliest dinosaurs, or exploring the future of what the future will hold 100 years from now, we’ll be traveling through time for our adventures this week. Each day our campers will set out on a journey to another time and place. This week will be for the

historian, explorer, adventurer, and visionary inside all of us. As we travel through time this week, Twisted Mr. Rogers will be our guest to create your favorite dinosaur, princess crown, or futuristic creature out of balloons.

June 29-July 2: Independence Day—Alien Invasion

One foot in make-believe and the other in reality, it will be an out-of-this-world week! There will be an adventure and exploration of all the things beyond earth. WALL-E, R2D2, and Stitch are a few of the outer space characters we’ll feature. The campers will even make a unique “creature” of

their own. Then, moving back to reality, we’ll study our solar system and space travel. Together, all campers will work each day on building a Bowie Space ship that is guaranteed to provide hours of alien attack adventure. Alien’s better stay away from our Independence Day Picnic! We’ll celebrate with hot dogs, watermelon and of course, a flag cake!

July 6-July 10: The Race Is On!On your mark, get set, GO! During this week of Camp BLAST, we are looking for campers who are not afraid to shy away from a race! Design challenges will be issued for the fastest car with science lessons on air resistance and friction. Cause your heart to race in a good way with our camper relay races.

With the Olympics coming up, we will look at some of the most famous athletes and what it takes to be the fastest person in the world. We’re sure our campers won’t have any trouble racing to fill their bowls with homemade ice cream at the end of this action packed week!

July 13-17: Under the SeaSchool may be out, but this school of fish is ready for some fun! During this week, we’ll explore the secrets of the deep blue sea from above and from below. Hunt for buried treasure and dive for sunken ships. Whether you prefer fins and jewels or hooks and gold, be prepared to make your tails

or create the perfect flag for your pirate ship. What could be a better way to end this splash week, than with a GIANT WATERSLIDE? 

July 20-24: Anyone Can CookThis is a casting call for all young and aspiring chefs! If you love food and want to expand your culinary skills, then we’ve whipped up this week just for you! Young chefs will don aprons and dust off recipes while learning how to follow directions, measure ingredients, and create deletable treats.

After perfecting our culinary abilities throughout the week, we will host the annual opening of Camp BLAST Café! We will make and serve homemade butter, fresh syrup, and fluffy flapjacks for all of our hungry customers! Bon Appétit!

July 27-31: It’s All Greek to Me!Opa! Do you love the theater? Do you know the Greek Myths? This week we will take a look into ancient Greek culture. What parts of our world today came from this society? We will pull out the ancient scrolls with comedies and tragedies and create masks for each. Campers will learn about some

of the different Greek gods and how they helped the people of Ancient Greece. Each camper will even be able to take home their very own pinch pot decorated with one of our stories from this week!
