• For the Mije, there are showers & sinks in the rooms but toilets are in the hallway. You also will need to bring a towel and shower gel (and any other shower stuff) as they do not supply this.

TSA website prior to departure. http://www.tsa.gov/ • Reading material for your flight. • Passport and visas. Never pack travel documents in your suitcase. • Your itinerary and hotel list. This is vital in the unlikely event you become separated from the rest of the

group and have to give your hotel address to a taxi driver. • Essential toiletries and a change of clothing in case you become separated from your suitcase for a few

days. • Photocopy (in color, if possible) of your airline ticket and passport. Your group leader will most likely

hold on to the airline tickets for your entire group. (MADAME WILL KEEP THESE FOR YOU) • Plenty of film and an inexpensive camera. Make sure to keep some extra batteries in your main suitcase. • Sunglasses. • Extra set of glasses or contact lenses. • Any necessary medication. • Address book, your ACIS Travel Journal and pens. • List of PIN numbers and U.S. and overseas telephone numbers for your credit cards and bank. • ACIS eKit Global Phonecard.

Suitcase• Sample Packing List for Your Main Suitcase• Pack comfortable clothing for your trip. In general, bring comfortable clothing-and about half the things you think you'll

need!• Battery-operated travel alarm clock or watch. • Two pairs of shoes, one for walking and one for dressier occasions, such as dinner. • NEVER BRING NEW SHOES! • Pair of jeans. You're guaranteed to need them, and you can wear them almost daily if you need to. • Pair of casual shorts, weather permitting. • Pair of nicer pants. These can rotate in to replace jeans or can be used to dress up. • Skirt or dress for women, and dress shirt and tie or nice sweater for men, for dinner or the theater. • Shirt that can be worn with trousers or khakis. • T-shirts or collared shirts. • Long-sleeve shirts. • Something warm that can be layered, such as a sweater, windbreaker or sweatshirt. The key to packing right is layering!

• Toiletries and cosmetics. ***WASHCLOTH, TOWEL and SOAP/SHOWER GEL/SHOWER SHOES• Tissues. • Travel umbrella. • Medicines: Aspirin, Alka-Seltzer, Bandaids, disinfectant. Keep medication you're currently using in your carry-on bag and

A Typical Day

7:30-8:45 Start your day with breakfast in your hotel

9:00-12:00 Enjoy a morning activity such as city sightseeing or a bicycle tour

12:00-1:00 Lunch. Your group may choose to take a tour manager’s suggestion for the best pizza/crepes/paella in town or browse a local market and picnic in the park

1:00-3:00 Participate in a Cultural Connection designed to immerse you in the local culture, or use an ACIS Walking Tour to explore a museum or sight

3:00-6:00 Supervised time to shop for souvenirs, explore local neighborhoods or relax in a town square

6:30-7:30 Time for dinner

7:30-11:00 An evening activity such as a boat ride, a show or concert, or a Culture Quest will keep you entertained – or enjoy activities as organized by your group leader

Day 5 - 6 | Normandy Area French History Awaits!• Visit Louis XIV’s magnificent palace of Versailles- enjoy an audio-guided tour before exploring the expansive gardens by bike!

• Visit the moving Peace Museum in Caen to learn about American and European involvement in WWII

• Visit the powerful Omaha Beaches, still dented by bomb craters

• See the American Memorial and Cemetery before speaking with a local resident of Normandy about the events of June 6, 1944, and the brothers who inspired Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan

• Visit the Louvre – the most famous museum in the world and home to the Mona Lisa and Winged Victory.

• Peruse the artistic Montmartre neighborhood, home to the Moulin Rouge and tour the white-domed Sacre Coeur Basilica and partake in a painting workshop with a local artist!
