In future wants to compete with Big Big Consulting firms and make a mark !!

1.The Project with which I started my Work 1.A The first project: mVAS Database

Objective : To develop global report of applications, application developers, strategic alliances etc in the form of database of Mobile VAS ( Value Added Services ) players.

Why this project?

– mVAS is a hugely growing all over the world

– ARPU is high when compared to average user of cell phones

– Companies venturing out heavily like never before.

– Future is bright

– Global players emerging and making strategic alliances from all over the world

– Innovation lead Industry segment.

– So that it will help the players to search for players across globe, make strategic alliances, give them idea of the next level innovations happening through this report.

Methodology Adopted:

– Template designed according to the

deliverables

– Work divided Europe taken by me

– Google Search and then data update

– Background work for this:o Reading a lot about VAS , Technologies

o What are type of applications? Types?

o Learning more Google search skills etc.

- Targets set for daily

Problems in the Project:

– Data being not available

– Difficulty in categorizing the players

– Language Problems with sites

– Work was exhausting – Working in isolation -only sitting and working on computers !!

– Average per day slowing down – Motivation factors

Solutions thought and applied:

-- Using Google Translate for Language Problems

-- Skip the companies as soon as possible if you think irrelevant.

-- Tried to put idea of team work in front of BOSS to gain some motivation.

-- Hired another Intern from IWSB to speed up the job.

Solved the Problem after this??

No . A week later got a new client . Jumped to new project !!

1.B Second Project Client in hand is important than future objectives

What’s the new Project ??

– Client is a healthcare consulting firm in USA

– Project called SYNAGIS Payer Policy Audit

– Complete online Research and data findings

– Received all the guidelines from the clients

What was the exact work??

-- To find SYNAGIS Payor policies

-- For 118 Payors from USA with success rate expectation of 70% and above

-- Format assigned for this project too.

-- NO data collection other than Internet- Total Internet Research

The Required output:

The approach:

– 7 people working on this , 3 full time, 4 part time

– 2 week project

– Divided the work – Everyday progress check – Collaborating the work at the end of the day

The final output:

-- 83.8 % success rate in finding the data

-- Excel collaborated, sources defined, folders made for each company with pdf files of Payor policies

--99 slides made according to the data found

-- Final Notes on the project sent to client with success rate and data outstanding and some key findings during the project about SYNAGIS and Payor policies.

1.C The Third project You never know who will be your next big client!!

What’s the Project??

– Medical Organization alignment within emerging markets of a giant pharma firm

– We need to address the issues put forth by the client

A little bit more about the project before we go into detail…

-- This is totally consulting base project.

-- I really had less to deal into problems and the solutions handling w.r.t the project

-- We were involved as such to help BOSS being a helping hand in data handling in excel and PPT making through transposing the data from Excel

-- Solely responsible for the work given on hand to date.

-- Work was to divide the work and collaborate with each other and then send the final output of updated excel and PPT at the end of the day.

Approach by Company:

– They had calls with the client

– Then made a proposal for the client

– In the proposal mentioned the process they will follow and the deliverables from the companies side

– Given them a brief about the phases with which the work will be carried

– Given them brief about the Organization Structuring and Quantitative Analysis which will be carried

– At the end work started with the consent of the client with written policies

A true consulting experience for us !!

Things are fun when you love what you do

A more enhanced knowledge of Excel and PPT ( I can assure that )

Understood that Working on Excel, PowerPoint is no less a job of Manager.

Suggestions : If any body wants to aspire to work with consultancies than he must be perfect with Excel and PPT skills and should be good at data analysis.
