About Us

IMI Kolkata has been ranked 12th Best B-School by the National Institutional Ranking Framework(NIRF) 2016, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

We have received NBA Accreditation for the Two-Year Full-Time PGDM Programme and theAssociation of Indian Universities (AIU) has accorded MBA degree equivalence to the programme.

IMI Kolkata is a part of IMI Delhi that was established in 1981. The Kolkata campus has been set up in2010 at Alipore (Kolkata), by RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, with its infrastructure comparable tointernational standards.

IMI Kolkata offers a two year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management course approved byAICTE. Our students choose their areas of specialization from Finance, Marketing, HR, Economics,Strategy & General Management, IT and Operations in course of their two-year study.

• Summer Internship process for the 2016-18 class was conducted between September 2016 and January 2017.

• The institute witnessed 43 companies participate in summer internship process, offering the highest totalstipend of Rs. 2 lakhs and International USD 2000.

• IMI Kolkata continues to reinforce its mission statement:

“To produce socially sensitive, globally aware, value-driven individuals capable of providing leadership.

To conduct research for knowledge creation and dissemination.”

• Our corporate visitors were delighted to see the enthusiasm students exuded in the placement process, aswas evident in their positive feedback.

• Students saw overwhelming response from huge Corporates Brands, even as many students opted to internwith exciting start-ups offering profiles across various verticals.

• IMI Kolkata had the privilege of association with some of the biggest names across multiple industry domainsin the summer internship this year.

Sales and Marketing:

The Sales and Marketing area witnessed the participation of ITC Limited, HindustanUnilever Ltd., Godrej Consumer Products Limited, Oracle India, Ambuja Neotia, Nivea,Pepsi Co, Spencer’s Retail, TAFE, H&R Block India and ICICI Prudential AMC.

Profiles offered are Market Research, Market Penetration, Business Development, NewProduct Marketing, Market Visibility, Sales, SME Market Research and Digital Marketing.

Operations:

JSW Steel and John Deere extended lucrative profiles to the students in the area ofOperations Management.

Profiles Offered Finance:

Reserve Bank of India, Axis Bank, Phillip Capital, Ersnt & Young, Bajaj Finserv, Aditya Birla Money, Mentes Capital,Hindalco, Sumedha Financial Services, Kotak Mahindra, Ultratech Cements, Daawat and HDFC Bank provided offersto the students.

Some of the profiles offered to the students were Financial Planning, Investment Banking, Project Finance, EquityResearch, Business Advisory and Strategy etc.

Conglomerate:

RP – Sanjiv Goenka Group, Aditya Birla and Future Group offered profiles across the domains.

Human Resources:

Industry Leaders like Genpact, IDBI Federal extended multiple internship offers in HR domain.

Others:

Sage Publications, Oxford University Press have offered projects for the first time.

International Internship

This year Summer Internship at IMI Kolkatawitnessed the introduction of international offers.

Three Students were selected for InternationalInternship Program in Spain in the fine dining(FEPROHOS -Provincial Federation of Businessmenof Hospitality of Pontevedra), wine manufacturing(Coto Redondo Winery) and stone manufacturingsectors (Godoy Maceira natural stone).
