    Top tip: Stay motivated by inding something you love! Then younever dread it and you are sure to make time or it. Exercising is

    a priority in my lie.Lesson learned: Exercising can be un, especially when you setgoals. I signed up or my irst hal marathon in 2009 and have

    been hooked ever since. It is such a eeling o accountability andaccomplishment.

    Main motivation: I love the way I eel ater a workout, physically

    and mentally. Working out is my therapy session!

    Fit future: I would love to be able to participate in a triathlon,

    though my swimming skills are weak. So I plan to take swimminglessons and go rom there. I also hope to keep inspiring and

    motivating others to pursue their itness goals!

    Fit future: Get to the 5.0 USTA level in tennis and add 10 morepounds o muscle mass.

    Weekly workout: Running, swimming and biking, along with

    yoga and strength training. Beore an Ironman, I oten exceed 20hours per week or two months. Beore a marathon, I run 45-50

    miles per week.

    Fit future: The pinnacle or an endurance triathlete is theIronman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Only the top

    1% o triathletes at any sanctioned race get an invite. I would

    consider it a great accomplishment to earn a spot.

    Life in Athletics: Started competing in track and ield at age 10. Owner o multipleprovincial high school track and ield records. Currently training or the World YouthChampionships.

    A New PlanSandy and I were not really looking to

    start a business when Reliv came into ourlives. I had already retired at age 38 afterselling my life insurance company. Ourplan was to raise Arabian horses on ournew farm while we raised our childrentogether.

    When two of our parents passed away within a few months of each other, wedecided we were going to do all wecould to maintain our good health, whichmeant optimizing our nutritional intake.

    At a nutrition industry event, we met Dr.Theodore Kalogris.

    Healthy StartThrough a trial-and-error process over

    many years, Dr. Ted had developed aformula which would later form thefoundation of Reliv Classic that wahelping him and many people he knewexperience remarkable health results

    When he described the formula to us andthe science behind it, we decided to giveit a try.

    We began experiencing health results oour own. But it wasnt until I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor tha

    we really understood how special DrTeds formula was. After I had the tumoremoved, I was able to recover in a frac-tion of the time I was told to expect. Thedoctors were amazed at how my bodybounced back so quickly.

    thurs 3.17.11When we arrived at Port Canaveral and boarded the ship, a voice

    announced Welcome, Van Amberg Family! We were in awe aswe stepped into the beautiul atrium there is Donald Duck! We

    dropped o our luggage in our ocean-view stateroom, picked upour Reliv welcome bag illed with Relivables items and headedstraight or the pool. It was like a amily reunion on deck with all

    our Reliv riends! Mickey and Minnie Mouse were there and we hadour photos taken. This was my girls irst Reliv trip and they were so

    excited to inally be here ater bragging to all their riends that theirmom earned it or them.

    Thursday evening eatured a welcome reception hosted by SteveHastings, Ron McCain and Scott Montgomery. Reliv certainlyknows how to roll out the red carpet or us! We had the opportu-

    nity to meet some o the other cruise winners. One o them, Julie

    Simpson, shared with me that her kids were amazed at how nice

    and warm Reliv people are. Some o us went outside on deck as theDisney Dream set sail or Nassau lie doesnt get any better than this.

    O to dinner in the Animator s Palate where Crush the Turtle greetedus on-screen, asking Hey dude, whats your name? We had thehonor o dining with Ron and Lisa McCain and Shawn Bergeron

    and Mindy Jones. Lisa reminded me so much o her mom, Sandy

    Montgomery, and it was nice getting to know her. Ater dinner

    we went to the theatre and watched an amazing play called TheGolden Mickeys. From there we headed out to meet up with some

    o our riends in one o the clubs.

    ri 3.18.11Friday brought a day in Nassau, where we took a catamaran ride

    to snorkel on a ree. On the way out we passed Paradise Island andlearned about all the amous people who own those beautiu

    beachront homes. Roseanne and David Henrickson were onboard, and we had the opportunity to get to know them betterThey were so excited to be on their very irst Reliv trip!

    Once we docked and headed into the water with our snorkel gearthe amazing underwater world o vibrant coral and tropical ish

    was there to greet us. The captain would throw ood out to attracish, and it was a thrill to watch my girls, Mackenzie and Laurenbeing swarmed by bright, colorul ish looking or ood. Once we

    were back on land, we browsed the Straw shopping district beoreheading back on board to try the legendary waterslide with ou

    riends Ken and Maureen Seens, Kimberly and Rich Burns and

    Eileen and Jim Tesch. That was a blast, especially watching some

    o them (Eileen) scream throughout the entire ride! I think we weremore excited than the kids!

    That evening we dined in the Enchanted Garden and got acquaint-ed with Crismon and Vivienne Lewis. The dinners were superbespecially the desserts! Decadent chocolate mousse squares

    banana paraits good thing the ship had so many stairs! Thatevening we watched the ireworks with dozens o Reliv riends on

    deck. We didnt want the evening to end, so we hit the putt-puttgol Gooy-style up on the top deck. When we headed back to ou

    room, we ound our itinerary or Saturday waiting or us along withone o Disneys amous towel animals in our bed. Disney certainly

    knows how to treat their guests!

    sat 3.19.11Saturday we docked in Castaway Cay, Disneys beautiul private

    island. Palm trees, bright red and pink lowers and colorul umbrel-las lined the shoreline. We had our choice o an adult-only beach

    or amily beach, which is where we decided to lay down our beachtowels. You could take a bike ride around the island, do a littleshopping or just lay on the beach, and lunch was served right

    there. This was paradise!

    Back on board or the last ew hours o this incredible day, and

    what better way to spend them than in the Royal Palace ordinner. We were greeted once again by our wonderul personalwaiters, Sasa and Jorge, and escorted to a table or our. We dined

    with our girls a wonderul way to end the evening. While wait-ing or dinner, Snow White made an appearance. I am not sure

    who was more excited: my girls, Jacque Hayes, Joyce Holthaus,

    Mindy Jones or Sherri Selman. It was a riot watching these

    young-at-heart grownups! Dinner was amazing: stued pasta,chicken, duck and lamb. Dessert was a trio o desserts and paraits.Stairs, here we come!

    The last evenings theater show was called Disneys BELIEVE. AsMickey says, Anything is possible i you just believe. A itting

    theme this whole cruise. Aterwards, Mickey and Minnie and therest o the gang came out to say their arewells with Sea ya real

    soon. We were sad to say goodbye, but look orward to the next

    Reliv trip, wherever that may be.

    sun 3.20.11Sunday morning started with an early wake-up call or breakast in

    the Royal Palace. Our waiters Sasa and Jorge taught my girls howto make Cinderellas shoe out o a cloth napkin and an origam

    bird out o paper. They kept us laughing and we hated to leaveour new riends.

    This was an incredible trip or us all. We loved sailing with ou

    longtime riends and making new riends along the way. Hopeyou can make it on the next trip. I you can dream it, you can do it

    tion to grow up completely online, so the marketingmix used to target them needs to reflect this.

    Millennials are good at multi-tasking, and grew upstudying while listening to the radio or watchingtelevision. From an academic perspective, they wereable to play a sport, attend school and engage insocial endeavors. As a result, work-life balance isimportant to them.

    Millennials believe in social responsibility. Goinggreen and supporting endeavors that are good forthe environment are also a priority for them.

    When it comes to work, millennials expect structure.They acknowledge and respect positions and titles,and want a strong relationship with their boss.Millennials are in need of mentoring and theyrespond well to the personal attention. When con-sidering the management of millennials, be mindfulthat they appreciate structure, stability and feedback.

    Marketing to MillennialsNow that you understand a little more about mil-lennials, consider the places they go for information

    and the way they behave. Millennials are using socialmedia, texting friends and consuming more electroniccontent than any other generation.

    1. Use social media. Listen to the conversation.Make sure your business has a space among socialmedia outlets. One thing to keep in mind thoughis to not be overly commercial. Millennials see rightthrough it, and it is a huge turn-off. Rather, be genu-

    ine and let your prospective market understand whatyoure really about and what you stand for.

    2. Communicate on a personal level. Create atwo-way dialogue with your audience, giving theman opportunity to speak to you. Whether you letthem share comments or share their experience withfriends, providing a forum to socialize is an essentia

    part of any business strategy to attract millennials.

    3. Be consistent. Regardless of which media typeyou use (print or electronic, email marketing, sociamedia, etc.), keep your messaging consistent. If youchange your messaging frequently, you wont buildthe trust necessary to ensure lifetime customer value
