Introductory Magazine for Zhengzhou College
This book is designed to accomodate both Chinese and English readers. Infographics are used throughout the book to display information with ease for the two languages. This book also includes my own photography of the International College and the surrounding landscapes.

French Film Posters
These typographic posters celebrate a film festival for the work of French director, Jacques Audiard. One poster is with a sourced image, two are created from constructed photography. Together they explore the fragility of the main characters, whilst also portraying strong themes of violence and crime within his films.

Tweed Poster Series
Weaving is a historic craft which is still practiced and fashionable today. The aim of this series is to celebrate both the heritage and modern aspect of Scotland’s Harris Tweed.
The series was inspired by a workshop with french poster designer, Michel Bouvet which was based on the title: “Scotland is an old country; Scotland is a new country"

Projecting an Opera Storyline in 140 Characters

This team project aimed to encourage culturally engaged young people, aged 20-30, to experience opera for the first time. The tweet format was applied to be more direct, communicating storylines in a shorter way. Hashtags were used to add humour and extend the sense of modernity. These typographic animations would be projected in busy city spaces where the target audience are most likely to be socialising and open-minded.

Look magazine focuses on fashion, trends and gossip. The redesign of the publication aims for a more “high-brow” audience.

Collaborative Making Project
Love Making aims to encourage making, through the process of sharing and showcasing. Maker’s could learn from other maker’s, show-off their skills or create something new. The box would travel from maker to maker, urging them to use their skills or try something new in order to fill their gap within the project. Once the box has gathered six creations, it would return to the original location before it’s displayed in an exhibition. Journals would travel inside the box, supplying the maker’s with a way to express and understand how fellow maker’s produced their work. It would also allow the makers to comment on other people’s work.

As well as providing the project with some online advertising, the website also digitally supports the journey. Maker’s could track their box, discover new maker’s to send to and post photographs of their process.
