The same fee applies to each weekly session. The Memorial Day and 4th of July holidays have been figured in. Category I ($0-$29,400) $40 Category II ($29,401-$35,700) $62 Category III ($35,701-$46,200) $76 Category IV ($46,201-$57,750) $88 Category V ($57,751-73,500) $102 Category VI ($73,501-$85,000) $110 Category VII ($85,001-$100,000) $112 Category VIII ($100,001-$125,000) $114 Category IX ($125,000+) $117 PROGRAM Summer Day Camp is a fun filled fast paced recreation program that assists working military and DoD civilian parents with full-day school age care during the school summer break period. Fees include a daily breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, entry fees, field trip transportation, program supplies and covers a staff to child ratio of 1-15 (1-12 for children entering the 1st grade). Activities include swimming, arts & crafts, team sports, outside play, computer lab, field trips, special interest clubs and many special events. REGISTRATION Registration for the Day Camp Program begins May 1 at the Schofield Barracks, AMR, Fort Shafter and HMR school-age program facilities. Parents may enroll their children in one or more day camp weekly sessions by visiting the school-age program nearest them and filling out the proper forms. Parents new to CYSS must register at Parent Central Services (PCS). PCS offices are located at Schofield Barracks, building 1283, call 655-8380/5314 and at AMR, building 1782, call 833-5393. Full session fees will be due not later than five working days before the session actually begins. Late fees will be charged if the entire session fee has not been paid for by the first day of the program. Space is limited at all program sites so register early. The U.S. Army Hawaii Libraries For Just 10 Minutes a Day Summer Reading Program For All Ages For children ages 3-5, 6-12, Teens (12-18), and Adults (over 18). This program stimulates an enjoyment of reading while rewarding readers for their progress. The EDGE! Program offers out- of school opportunities for children and youth to experience, develop, grow and excel by participating in cutting- EDGE art, fitness, life skills and adventure activities, known as Art EDGE!, Fit EDGE!, Life EDGE! and Adventure EDGE!The program offers weekly registration for programs Monday through Friday. SUMMER LEARN-TO-SWIM/AQUATIC PROGRAMAll children must be registered through CYSS Parent Central Services and present their CYSS registration card when registering for swim lessons at the pool. Taught by American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Red Cross Certificate of level of achievement.Parent/Tot Program (3 thru 5 yrs old) are water adjustment skills, classes by age level and progression. Requires in water participation of a parent or other adult who is responsible for the child. American Red CrossGUARDSTART PROGRAMCertified through the American Red Cross, this program prepares children ages 11-14 to learn what Lifeguards’ duties are and to start them on a journey for a possible career in water safety. Upon graduation students will be qualified as a Jr. Lifeguard and will be able to volunteer here at Richardson Pool under direct supervision of our full time staff.Children must be able to swim proficiently in the deep end of the pool.

TEEN CENTERSTeen Centers for youth, entering grades 7-12, will be open during the school summer break period from 1300-1800 Monday-Friday and on Saturdays from 1000-1800. There is no charge for this open recreation program but participants will need to be registered with Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS). Open recreation includes a USDA approved afternoon snack, game room activities, computer lab, clubs, leadership opportunities and special events.

EXTENDED SUMMER CAMPIn addition to open recreation, Teen Centers will offer an extended summer camp period from 1000-1300, Monday-Friday, during the period of 29 May-27 July. A weekly fee will be charged for each of the nine week sessions. Fees are based on the Army Installation Fee Plan and Total Family Income categories. The same fee will apply to each weekly session.

YOUTHSPONSORSHIPThe Army Youth Sponsorship program provides information and support for military youth in grades 6-12 who may be moving to Hawaii this summer. Moving to a new home and school is always difficult so the Youth Sponsorship program provides much needed relocation and transition assistance in the form of welcome packets, youth sponsors, events, and clubs.Contact your nearest Teen Center of go to www.himwr.comand click on theYouth Sponsorship link.

The CYSS HIRED program offers weekly and weekend apprenticeship opportunities for youth ages 15-18.

The program offers meaningful, professionally-managed career-exploration in the MWR field with jobs in a variety of locations and settings around Oahu. Valuable work experience and training is available to equip each participant with the skills necessary for today’s highly competitive job market.

SUMMER LEARN-TO-SWIM/AQUATIC PROGRAMAll children must be registered through CYSS Parent Central Services and present their CYSS registration card when registering for swim lessons at the pool. Taught by American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Red Cross Certificate of level of achievement.Parent/Tot Program (3 thru 5 yrs old) are water adjustment skills, classes by age level and progression. Requires in water participation of a parent or other adult who is responsible for the child. American Red CrossGUARDSTART PROGRAMCertified through the American Red Cross, this program prepares children ages 11-14 to learn what Lifeguards’ duties are and to start them on a journey for a possible career in water safety. Upon graduation students will be qualified as a Jr. Lifeguard and will be able to volunteer here at Richardson Pool under direct supervision of our full time staff.Children must be able to swim proficiently in the deep end of the pool.

TEEN CENTERSTeen Centers for youth, entering grades 7-12, will be open during the school summer break period from 1300-1800 Monday-Friday and on Saturdays from 1000-1800. There is no charge for this open recreation program but participants will need to be registered with Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS). Open recreation includes a USDA approved afternoon snack, game room activities, computer lab, clubs, leadership opportunities and special events.

EXTENDED SUMMER CAMPIn addition to open recreation, Teen Centers will offer an extended summer camp period from 1000-1300, Monday-Friday, during the period of 29 May-27 July. A weekly fee will be charged for each of the nine week sessions. Fees are based on the Army Installation Fee Plan and Total Family Income categories. The same fee will apply to each weekly session.

The CYSS HIRED program offers weekly and weekend apprenticeship opportunities for youth ages 15-18.

PROGRAMSummer Day Camp is a fun filled fast paced recreation program that assists working military and DoD civilian parents with full-day school age care during the school summer break period. Fees include a daily breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, entry fees, field trip transportation, program supplies and covers a

staff to child ratio of 1-15 (1-12 for children entering the 1st grade). Activities include swimming, arts & crafts, team sports, outside play, computer lab, field trips, special interest clubs and many special events.

REGISTRATIONRegistration for the Day Camp Program begins May 1 at the Schofield Barracks, AMR, Fort Shafter and HMR school-age program facilities. Parents may enroll their children in one or more day camp weekly sessions by visiting the school-age program nearest them and filling out the proper forms. Parents new to CYSS must register at Parent Central Services (PCS). PCS offices are located at Schofield Barracks, building 1283, call 655-8380/5314 and at AMR, building 1782, call 833-5393. Full session fees will be due not later than five working days before the session actually begins. Late fees will be charged if the entire session fee has not been paid for by the first day of the program. Space is limited at all program sites so register early.
