Parish Outreach Ministry

Pantry: Thank you for all of the donations of non-perishable food items that came in this past week. It is always appreciat-ed. There are certain items in our pantry that are always needed; these would include toilet paper, paper towels, soap, toothpaste, and shampoo. Food stamps do not cover these items. Therefore, it is quite helpful if families can acquire them at Outreach. Blood Drive: Our Parish’s 3rd and last blood drive will take place on Sunday, July 15 from 8:45 to 2:45. There is a seri-ous blood emergency and with the approaching 4th of July holiday many people go on vacation, therefore, blood dona-tions will be significantly lower. Types O-, B- and A- are all at critical levels. Please consider becoming a donor and as a result lives will be saved. Thank You & God Bless!

For the summer we will have two Precious Blood Eucharistic

ministers at Mass. If you are receiving Precious Blood, please

stand in front of the Eucharistic minister to receive.

Thank you.

BAPTISMS

Altar Bread & Wine for the week of July 1st to July 7th has been donated

in loving memory of Thomas Murphy,

requested by Clare & family.

Michael B. Kelsey, requested by Aunt Linda & Uncle Rich.

Summer Dress Attire

With the warmer weather upon us, please try to dress appropriately when entering the Lord’s house. For example, no beach

attire….attire should be of a modest nature.

THANK YOU.

Take An Active Part at Mass

Represent the community by taking part in the Presentation of the Gifts at Mass each weekend.

Please notify one of the ushers when you arrive at Mass that you would like to do this. The ushers need to know no later than TEN minutes before

Mass begins, so please be considerate.

GOAL TO DATE LAST YEAR

Did you know because of the Catholic Ministries

Appeal last year….

We delivered or served more than 550,000 meals to

senior citizens and young families.

Parish outreach centers, including our food pantries,

assisted more than 100,000 families.

Our Office of Hospital Ministry served more than

300,000 people in local hospitals.

12,000 volunteer Catechists taught Religious Educa-

tion to more than 110,000 of our children in public

schools.

In our 133 Parishes there were more than 17,000

Baptisms, 17,000 First Communions, 19,000 Confirma-

tions and 3,000 Weddings.

We provided safe and affordable housing for

struggling seniors through 15 housing facilities with

more than 1,200 affordable apartments.

Our parish received a cash rebate of more than

$12,000 which helped to offset expenses needed to

maintain our building and to fund the many pro-

grams we offer. Please consider making a pledge to this most worthy

charity. We need the help of every parish family to

reach our goal of $52,300. You have until January 31,

necessary. The Diocese will send monthly reminders.

Prayer Blanket Ministry

Meetings are held on Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Contact Janice by email:

[email protected] Next meeting is Saturday, July 14 , 2018 New members are always welcome. Come join this exciting ministry—we create prayer blankets, lap robes, baby blankets, preemie hats, Christmas stockings, “pink scarves”, etc. and donate them to various organizations, nursing homes, etc. We also share ideas, patterns and offer instruction for any-one wishing to learn to knit or crochet or brush up on their skills. For more information call the Parish Outreach. If you have yarn to donate, we will gladly accept it and use it. Thank you for your generosity and support!

Join Us With Mary When life got overwhelming and too big for us as children, we turned to our mother for support and guidance. As adults, we thank her for all she had done for us. Now we are blessed with the op-portunity to turn to our Heavenly Mother Mary to ask for her support and guidance, and thank her for the many blessings she has given us. Every Wednesday after 9:00 AM mass (at 9:30), you are invited to join us as we pray the rosary to ask for her help and guid-ance and to thank her for her abounding love.

ARE YOU A REGISTERED PARISHIONER? Many parishioners support St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in the weekly collection and we do not have them listed in our census. We would like to make sure you are given proper credit for your donations. Please fill in the bottom of this page and we will send you a registration form. ***You are not automatically registered if you received a sac-rament in the parish, i.e. Baptism, Confirmation, Matrimony, etc. NAME________________________________ ADDRESS_______________________________ Email__________________________________ Phone___________________________________
