Pilates Pilates can help you get a dancer’s body: sleek and toned, with long, lean muscles. But it can also help you avoid needing a hip replacement or having back pain. That’s because Pilates helps improve flexibility, agility and good movement pat-terns. It teaches body awareness, correct posture, and easy graceful movements. In other words, it will improve both how your body looks and how it performs. So, whether you do Pilates for beauty, like Jennifer Aniston or you do it for functionality, like David Beckham, you ‘ll be amazed at what Pilates can offer you. (Wear comfortable, stretchy, but not baggy clothing. You’ll be asked to work barefoot or wear non-slip yoga or toe socks.) The dances are set to current top 40 rock, pop, and hip hop songs and you don’t need any level of “dance ability,” just the right attitude. (WERQ it!)
