FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM: CCD Our Faith Formation program is open to all children from Kindergarten age to grade 8. All chil-dren must have a required two years of instructions prior to the reception of the sacraments. If you are registering your child for the first time, please bring his baptismal certificate with you. Classes are on Sun-days at 9:45 A.M. sharp. We should always try to better ourselves at all

times. However, during Lent, we get a chance to examine ourselves, get rid of bad habits of sins, and pick up good habits of prayer, penance and

giving generously of ourselves to others. We need to be honest with ourselves if we want to change. To be realistic about what we can do. Instead of saying, “I will pray more”, we can make specific plans to pray an extra 15 minutes a day for some-

one for a duration of time. We need to make Christ part of our journey if we are to change. We cannot expect to carry our crosses alone.

God does not expect us to. Lent is a time to make room for the coming season. May you find peace

and joy on your way to freedom.

On Good Friday, April 14, 2017, Communion and Lib-eration will sponsor the Way of the Cross over the Brooklyn Bridge. Participants will congregate for the first station at St. James Cathedral, Brooklyn, at 10:00 A.M.
