ABOUT YOUR OFFERINGS FOR 2017 If you find that your donation letter has an incorrect
amount please check in with Deacon Tom for an
adjustment. It is helpful if you have documents to
show the correct amount you donated to the Church
especially if you gave funds in support of any extra
pledges or gifts.
Thank you to all the Parish Family for your great
generosity throughout 2017. You really are a blessing
to our many needs.
Thank you Deacon Robert, Deacon Thomas and Mike
Kelly and all others who assisted in the weekly
counting and recording of these contributions. Please
know that I give thanks to God for you.
Let’s learn something about the Apostles of Jesus Christ.
Do we actually know their names? Who were they?
Parish YOUTH – Do you know the answer to this question?
How many Apostles did Jesus have? ___________________ Tell Father Bill your answer.
An Apostle is “one sent.” In the Church the Apostles are the men originally
chosen by Christ to be the bearers of His teachings to the world.
It was Christ who first called them “APOSTLES” (Luke 6:13)
An Apostle is one who gives witness to the truth of Christ, His Resurrection,
His Ascension.
Before Pentecost the Apostles received the teaching, and there after they gave
the teaching as from Him who sent them.
Anyone who changes or modifies the teachings of Jesus cannot be considered an
Apostle of Jesus Christ.
All Clergy of all ranks and all persons Baptized who choose to teach the faith
must teach it the way Jesus would teach it. This is a true APOSTLE.

UNVEILING OUR BENEFACTOR PLAQUE
On the Sunday of our commemoration of St. Maron,
February 4, we will unveil a unit with engraved
memorials and benefactors of those who participated
so far in the 80th
Anniversary Memorial Gift Drive.
The goal of this project, which was announced at our
80th Anniversary Celebration last February, was to
request 80 special pledges be given in the amount of
$800.00 to assist with the ongoing improvements
needed at our Parish. This Parish is most grateful for
the 26 benefactors who participated so far. This special
Memorial Pledge Drive is always open for any time
you wish to make an offering and memorialize a loved
one.
SPEAKING OF ONGOING IMPROVEMENTS…
One more heating and air conditioning unit at the
Social Hall gave up the ghost. This unit is located
over the chair storage area which has a sprinkler
system in it. The new unit and use of a crane for
installation comes to a bit more than $3,000.00.
Part of these funds will be granted from the
Ladies Guild and the Men’s Club.
ALSO, ALSO, ALSO, I’m not stuttering, I must
tell you, the roof over that area is next on the
repair list. Amount to be announced later.
