    The Doxology…………….……..……..…………………………………………………...……….A.M.E. Hymn No. 647

    Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him all creatures here below;

Praise Him above ye heavenly host, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

    The Call to Worship

Minister: I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord!” Our feet have

been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem! (Psalm 122:1-2)

People: For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in

the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. (Psalm 84:10)

Minister: For the sake of the house of the Lord our God; I will seek your good. (Psalm 122:9)

People: They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God.

Minister: O Lord, I love the habitation of your house, and the place where your glory dwells.

People: But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him. (Habakkuk 2:20)

Minister: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight,

O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)

People: O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things! I will sing of loyalty and

of justice, to you, O Lord, I will sing. (Psalm 98:1,4)

The Hymn of Praise …………..………………...…..….AMEC Hymn #394 — We Are Often Tossed And Driven

    1. We are often tossed and driven on the restless sea of time, Somber skies and howling tempests oft succeed a bright sun shine, In that land of perfect day, when the mists have rolled away, We will understand it better by and by.

REFRAIN: By and by, when the morning comes All the saints of God are gathered home, We'll tell the story how we overcome, For we'll understand it better by and by.

    2. We are often destitute of the things that life demands, Want of food and want of shelter, thirsty hills and barren lands, We are trusting in the Lord, and according to His word, We will understand it better by and by.

    REFRAIN

    3. Trials dark on every hand, and we cannot understand, All the ways that God would lead us to that blessed Promised Land; But He guides us with His eye and we'll follow till we die, For we'll understand it better by and by

    The Responsive Scripture…………………………………………………………………………………………………………2 Timothy 2:8-15

People: 9 for which I suffer hardship, even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But the word of God is not chained.

Minister: 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, so that they may also obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. People: 11 The saying is sure: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; Minister: 12 if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he will also deny us; People: 13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful-- for he cannot deny himself. Minister: 14 Remind them of this, and warn them before God that they are to avoid wrangling over words, which does no good but only ruins those who are listening. ALL: 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to

be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth. The Preface to the Decalogue………………..………………………………….…….…..“From All That Dwell”

From all that dwell below the skies, let the Creator’s praise arise; let the Redeemer’s name be sung, through every land by every tongue.

    The Summary of the Decalogue

And Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.

The Exercise of Christian Stewardship—Deuteronomy 14:27-29 27And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own. 28At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, 29so that the Le-vites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of

    your hands.
