A missions forum was hosted by the Family Life Center at the Upper Room of the Infinitea Café, Session Rd., this city last Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 9:00 AM—12:00 PM. Brother Greg Williams, Director of Missions Sustainability of the Missions Resource Network (MRN) discussed lessons on “Business is Missions.” Brother Jojo Ramos coordinated the said forum in which 20 participants representing some congregations around the city benefited from the lessons on stewardship. Earlier, brother Williams spoke at the Friday Care Group. Ω
A number of the congregation’s subjects of intercessory prayers conveyed their appreciation for the petitions offered in their behalf. Sister Marina Gawe wrote a note saying “My deepest gratitude to the congregation for your continuous prayers for my health. Please continue praying for me. God bless us all.” Sisters Dionisia Gorio and Rowena Quezada also expressed appreciation for the intercession and have now recovered. Sister Veronica Zamora says that she and her baby, Kobe, are now doing well. Sister Lou Villanueva’s sister, Luisa, and her baby, Laarni Aurigue, are also now in good health.Ω
Last Saturday afternoon, October 8, 2016, sister PRISCILLA SAINGAN—BAYASEN, 75 year- old resident of Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet, was baptized into Christ by brother Arnan Bayla at Midtown’s baptistery. She recently completed the Seekers’ Lesson Series with brothers Arnan Bayla and Charlie Abance at her residence. She is an active member of the Tuba Poblacion Proper Senior Citizens Association and had been serving as one of the pioneering officers. Midtown praises the Lord as well as congratulates, welcomes, and rejoices with sister Priscilla!Ω
Brother Arnan Bayla, licensed solemnizing officer, officiated the wedding of brother Lyl Tondo Atis and sister Meriam Apalias Acyangan at the chapel of the Daclan Church of Christ, Namudan, Daclan, Tublay, Benguet last Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10 o’clock in the morning. The couple earlier completed the required premarital counseling course, “Marriage God’s Way” with brother Arnan. Reception followed immediately at the groom’s residence at sitio Sayatan. Brother Lyl Atis is the youngest son of brother Viernes Sabado Atis, long-time member of the Daclan congregation. Brother Ben Domingo, serving as one of the ministers together with the Daclan brethren convey their warmest regards to the Midtown brethren.Ω
Brother Jojo Ramos released earlier the itinerary for the 2016 MRN—PP Missionary Journey Coaching Workshop that will commence with the arrival of brothers Mark Hooper and Jay Jarboe from the USA in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Brothers Hooper & Jarboe represent the Missions Resource Network (MRN) based in Texas, USA. Brother Peter Lim and company, representing the Pasir-Panjang congregation in Singapore will also arrive on Thursday, October 13th. The Coaching Workshop begins with participants from Solana, Tuao East, Tuao Proper, and other congregations in Tuguegarao on Friday, October 14th and to be completed on Saturday, October 15th. On Sunday, October 16th, the group will be worshipping with the Tuao congregation which is celebrating its 11th anniversary. The second segment of the mission trip will be in the province of Isabela on Monday thru Wednesday (October 17-19). Finally, the trip will be completed in Baguio City on October 20-24 (Thurs—Mon). A workshop will be held at Midtown’s assembly hall on Oct. 21&22(FS). Brother Jay Jarboe will serve as sermon speaker at Midtown while brother Mark Hooper will facilitate a joint Bible Class on October 23, 2016.Ω

INTRODUCTION:

that as far as his feet could hike that day, will become his land. With faith devoid of doubt, and believing their
promised, he decisively embraced the task of walking until late that night. The following day the Indians were

DEFENDING THE FAITH AND ITS DIVINE SOURCE
1. Intention to inform - “But I make known to you, brethren,…” Gal.1:11
2. About the gospel taught - “that the gospel which was preached…” Gal.1:11
3. Did not originate from man - “by me is not according to man.” Gal.1:11
4. It was not obtained from man - “For I neither received it from man,…” Gal.1:12
5. It was not learned from man - “nor was I taught it, but it came…” Gal.1:12

OPPOSING INSTEAD OF DEFENDING THE FAITH
