From the Desk of Dcn. Steve... Alleluia, our Easter season has begun!

A feast of new birth, new beginnings, salvation renewed, a new 50-day season of Grace and a time of joy. The best example of this was witnessing our own newest members of our family, here at Holy Spirit Church, on Saturday night at our Easter vigil. They have gone through a transformation journey with Christ. They have looked deep within themselves, they asked deep questions, they prayed, they developed their own personal faith in God. They were altogether nervous, anxious, and truly excited to receive their sacraments, and fully join our Catho-lic family. Now as our newest brothers and sisters, we as a parish, as a family in Christ, need to be there for them just as our God is there for us. May God’s blessings be poured upon you just like with the water of Baptism. May you see and feel God’s presence in and around you when you receive the Holy Eucharist. And with Confirmation, may the Holy Spirit continue to guide you through the good and tough times, especially helping those in need, using your God-given gifts to be there for your Brothers, Sisters, and Mother. Amen.

Here’s the Sitch... Hello my dear parishioners, Embracing the spirit of Maintenance to Mission, I would like to use this new platform – Here’s the Sitch – to keep you “in the know” with some of the developments we have made and are happening at this time. You’ll be hearing from me about the status of projects periodically. • Baptismal Font—We resubmitted the revised plans to the city and received a new permit. Also, we have

the fabricator working on the shop drawings. The estimated time for completion is around Thanksgiving with the bulk of the demolition over the summer months. Please excuse the dust.

• Holy Spirit Parish and School are working on a joint project – a Meditation Garden. We are getting bids for the new prayer space which will be located in the former Prayer Learning Center near the Pre-School.

• Gift Shop—We’re almost in the homestretch! Things are starting to take shape. We hope to reopen by mid-May.

Thank you always for your generous support as we continue to live as missionary disciples. Sincerely, Fr. Ken
