Wisdom School at Saint Mark’s: Announcing the 2017–2018 OfferingsThe Wisdom School is designed to offer a balanced path for spiritual transformation grounded in prayer and practice, drawing on the Christian contemplative tradition while respecting the diversity of experiences born from contem-plative practices of other traditions. All are welcome. There are exciting new offerings for the coming program year. To learn more, pick up a brochure or go to saintmarks.org/wisdomschool.

Conspire 2017: A live webcast with Richard Rohr and friendsJULY 7–9, 2017, BLOEDEL HALL Love and justice are not two. Without inner change, there can be no outer change; without collective change, no change matters. Richard Rohr, angel Kyodo Williams, Mirabai Starr, and Ken Wilber explore our misguided attempts to overcome evil. They help us rediscover the inherent unity and belovedness of all beings. Conversion demands immense humility and honesty rather than zeal or purity. The autonomous, egocentric, and separate self must give way to our True Self. Facing our shadow is a breakthrough to grace and mercy. Embracing the parts of ourselves we’ve denied also reveals a “golden shadow”—our goodness, giftedness, and generosity. Fee is $15, which includes refreshments, light breakfast, and post-webcast access to videos. Register at saintmarks.org/wisdomschool.

CONSTRUCTION CORNER

While Saint Mark’s is under construction, there are a few directions to note as you move about the campus. Pedestrians, please pay attention to any roped or bar-ricaded areas and traffic cones and follow all signage directions. The front doors of the cathedral will always be accessible, but you may need to take a circuitous route to get there safely, and using the new wheelchair ramp. Drivers are also asked to pay attention to signage, taking the narrow road behind the cathedral to ac-cess the south parking lot. Please do not exit through the entrance driveway! The exit driveway is still open. The driveway in front of the cathedral will generally be blocked off, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m., but open on the weekends. The main Office Entrance will be closed from May 18-June 2, as excavation for the elevator proceeds. Please follow the signs and use the Bloedel Hall entrance to access Saint Mark’s offices. Thanks to all whose generous donations have made this project possible. If you have not yet had a chance to give to the Living Stones Capital Campaign, we invite you to do so, by completing a pledge card, or online at saintmarks.org/livingstones, or contact Erik Donner in the church office at 206-323-0300 ext. 217 or [email protected].
