The Typical Meteorological Year (TMY) data in an EPW format can be found at https://energyplus.net/weather-region/north_and_central_america_wmo_region_4

The Department of Energy provides TMY data that can be utilized to create a new location

Select Region

Select State

Please note the TMY, TMY2, TMY3, etc. are revision codes. The higher the number the newer the data

Select city

Select “epw”

Open your Downloads folder

Copy the epw file

Save the EPW file in a readily accessible folder

In your web browser go to http://www.sunnydesignweb.com/

Select Login

Select Own Locations

Select Region

Select Country

Enter City Name

Enter Typical Tilt

Enter Typical Orientation

Enter 80 to 120

Scroll Down

Enter Typical Grid Voltage

Select Import Meteorological Data

Select Import Data

Go to your TMY folder

Select the EPW file

Select Open

Scroll Down

Verify Ambient Temperatures

Select Save Location

You now have a new location
