THE COMPANY

LAURIE SCHNEIDER BRINKMAN (Norma Desmond) is happily returning to the CMT stage after a 5 year hiatus! Getting married in 2003 and having a daughter in 2004 has removed her from the theater spotlight, but before her family came along, Laurie appeared on many community theater stages: The Footlighters, Mariemont Players, CMT, Loveland Stage Company, Showboat Majestic and Tri County Players. She has won numerous Orchid Awards for her acting and singing and is the 2005 CEA Award recipient for her role as Roxie in CMT’s Chicago. Although theater continues to be her passion, her

real love is for her family, consisting of Mark and their 9 year old daughter, Elle. So happy to be back on stage again with Skip Fenker at the helm!

MICHAEL SHAWN STARKS(Joe Gillis) was most recently seen as Bobby in CMT’s Company. Locally he has worked with New Stage Collective, The Carnegie and the Cincinnati Fringe Festival among others. Favorite shows, roles: Jerry Springer: The Opera (Satan), Chess (Freddie), The Last 5 Years (Jamie), The Musical of Musicals (Willy), Evita (Che). He made his directing debut with GHCT’s The Haunting of Hill House in 2011, and will next direct the regional premiere of Stephen King’s Carrie: The Musical for Showbiz Players in September.

WAYNE WRIGHT(Max von Mayerling) is happy to be back at CMT having last appeared as Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone. Previous CMT appearances include Frank Cioffi in Curtains, Lumiére in Beauty and the Beast, Albin/Zaza in La Cage Aux Folles, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Applegate in Damn Yankees, and others. He has appeared in the area with favorite roles including Will Rogers in The Will Rogers Follies, Sweeney Todd, the Emcee in Cabaret, Marvin in Falsettos, Greater Tuna, and El Gallo in more productions of The Fantastiks than he can remember.

BREE HUNTER SPRANKLE(Betty Schaefer) is happy to be making her third appearance with CMT in one of her favorite musicals. Bree first took to the Jarson-Kaplan stage as Josephine in CMT’s production of H.M.S. Pinafore. Bree is a native of Dayton, OH and has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Dayton and a master’s degree in Opera Performance from the University of Minnesota. Bree has sung with several companies in the Cincinnati and Dayton area including the Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center and Dayton Opera.

JARED ADAMSON(Artie Green) is pleased to return to CMT’s stage with this production of his all-time favorite show EVER, Sunset Boulevard. Other favorite roles include Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance and John in Miss Saigon. A graduate of Cincinnati Christian University, Jared is often also seen in the pit with his first love, piano. To R, I & E -- i could not ask for more.

PATRICK D. CARNES(Morino, Manfred) took a brief hiatus from the stage, but now is thrilled to have “returned at last” to the Aronoff stage. He was last seen as 1st Officer Murdoch in Titanic. Patrick has earned multiple awards for his work, both as an actor and as a designer. Some of his memorable roles have been Charlie in The Foreigner, Cogsworth in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Marcellus Washburn in The Music Man and Mr. Howell in Gilligan’s Island. Thanks to Skip, this wildly talented company, and to JSF, who “puts the honey-glow in my cheeks.”

JEREMY L. CHEEK(Cecil B. DeMille) is proud to be performing in his fourth CMT production, most recently in Titanic last spring. Other CMT credits include The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Funny Girl. Jeremy has also performed in numerous shows aboard The Showboat Majestic and at The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts over the past many years. Jeremy works as a Registered Nurse at The Christ Hospital Health Network. Thanks to family, friends and coworkers for all of your support and enthusiasm in my theatrical endeavors. Enjoy the show!

BILL GERAGHTY(Sheldrake) was last seen on the Jarson-Kaplan stage last year in CMT’s production of Hairspray (Edna Turnblad.) Other favorite shows, roles include I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Man 2), The 1940s Radio Hour (Clifton Feddington), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (William Barfée), and Avenue Q (Nicky). Bill thanks Skip, Kendra, and the entire Sunset production team for the opportunity, the cast and crew for all the fun we’ve had at rehearsal, and his friends and family for the continued love and support. DING!

DOUG BRUENING(Cliff, Salesman, Hog Eye, Policeman) is thrilled to be returning for his second show with CMT. Recently he has been seen in The Magician’s Nephew and Sweethearts, Swiss Cheese and Shenanigans, both with The Village Players. In real life, Doug is a computer programmer, but secretly wants to be in the cast of Glee. He lives in Burlington, KY with his wife, three kids and three cats. He would like to thank his family for their love and support, for allowing him time away from home to pursue his passion and for always keeping life interesting!

MARYPAT CARLETTI(Wardrobe Mistress, Analyst, Matron) is back in the ensemble for her 4th CMT production. (She’s a little worried that she can’t be missed because she won’t go away.) This has been a terrific experience combining old and new friends; almost doubling her Facebook news feed; and as always, it keeps her from shoplifting. She thanks Skip, Kendra, Mike and Brian, for bringing her back to the stage and is grateful to her family and friends for being so incredibly supportive. A very special thank you to the 1st and 2nd most wonderful men in the world Dan and Dan. (wink)

BRANDON FOX (Myron, Salesman, Young Studio Guard, Reporter) is grateful to be back with CMT making his trip to Hollywood with a wonderful cast! He recently moved back to Cincinnati after a year stint in Columbus. Some of Brandon’s favorite roles include: Robert Martin in The Drowsy Chaperone, Mark Cohen in RENT, Rooster in Annie and most recently Tumnus in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Here’s to the lovely and talented MB, my leopard print Norma Desmond.

CHARLIE GREER(Choreographer, Salesman, Policeman) is thrilled to be a part of one of his favorite shows. Besides singing and acting, Charlie is also the wig and makeup designer and artist for Laurie Brinkman (Norma Desmond). Recent stage appearances with CMT include Titanic (Frederick Fleet), The Drowsy Chaperone (Ensemble), Curtains (Harv Fremont), The Music Man (Ensemble) and the multiple award-winning production of Gypsy (Caroline the Cow, Georgie). By day, he is a Visual Merchandiser at Saks Fifth Avenue in downtown Cincinnati. Love and thanks to family and friends for your support!

AUTUMN GRILLIOT(Lisa, Beautician, Reporter) is excited to be making her Cincinnati Music Theatre debut as an ensemble member of Sunset Boulevard. Although she is not a stranger to the stage, it has been many moons ago since she was last seen in the limelight. She’s truly honored and privileged to be working amongst the talent and wonderful personalities that comprise the cast and crew of the show! She dedicates this to her family, friends and of course Mike — her rocks and smiles.

ANDREW HERBERT(John, Salesman, Reporter) is excited to be in his first CMT production! You will see him in several roles, so take notes and let him know which one you liked best (no need to inform which role you liked least). You may recognize Andrew from prior shows around the city such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, Urinetown, The Drowsy Chaperone, and others. This cast, crew and production team has been a joy to work with and to get to know, so Andrew hopes you enjoy the show as much as he has!

ALLISON HINKEL(Dawn, DeMille’s Assistant, Beautician, Reporter) is thrilled to return to CMT after being seen in last season’s Titanic as Mme. Aubert. During the day Allison enjoys teaching drama and public speaking at St. Ursula Academy where she has directed Our Miss Brooks and The Odd Couple Female Version. She also serves as the Gala Director & VP of the Cappies Org. Around town Allison has worked with Footlighters Inc, Showboat Majestic, CYPT and CLP. A big thanks to the friends, the family, Skip and all of CMT, Dee Anne and everyone at SUA for their support. Last but not least, to Adin for all his love.

KIM LONG(Mary, Masseuse, Reporter) is excited to be making her CMT debut in Sunset Boulevard. A graduate of Bowling Green State University’s theatre program, some of her favorite credits include Crazy for You (Polly), Dancing at Lughnasa (Kate), and the title role in ArtReach’s touring version of Joe McDonough and David Kisor’s Alice in Wonderland. A storyteller at heart, she is also an award-winning, published professional photographer. She is grateful to her husband, Nathan, and children, Simone and Leo, for their love and support.

KAITLIN LORY(1st Harem Girl, Larissa, Beautician, Reporter) is delighted to be making her Cincinnati Music Theatre debut in Sunset Boulevard! A transplant from the Dallas, TX area, she is excited to be sharing her passion for performance with Cincinnati area theater lovers. Past favorite roles include: Grace in Annie, Laurey in Oklahoma!, Mother in Ragtime, and Antiope in The Rape of the Belt. She would like to thank her family and friends for their continued support as well as the universe for its continued blessings!

LINDSEY MORGAN(2nd Harem Girl, Danielle, Beautician) is very excited to join the cast of Sunset Boulevard in her first CMT show. Lindsey was last seen in Legally Blonde, The Producers and RENT. She is directing Seussical the Musical with Union Community Theatre and choreographing Oklahoma! with Brieabi Productions this summer. JOEY SCHNELL(Sammy, Salesman, Policeman) is very excited to be a part of the ensemble in his first show with CMT. Favorite past roles include Gaston in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Leaf Coneybear in 25th...Spelling Bee, and Seymour Krelbourn in Little Shop of Horrors. He also enjoys working with the Acting Up young performers theater group, where he has directed Seussical the Musical and looks forward to his second directorial effort this fall with Children of Eden. When not on stage Joey can be found teaching Physics to the students at Mason High School.

JILLIAN SCHWAB(3rd Harem Girl, Masseuse, Reporter) is delighted to continue her musical theatre journey with CMT. Professionally, Jillian performed a full repertoire, including soloist roles, with The Cincinnati Ballet, The Sarasota Ballet of Florida and Pacific Northwest Ballet and studied on scholarship at The School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School. She performed with Footlighters’ The Producers and Brieabi’s Legally Blonde. When not performing, Jillian is a Physical Therapy Assistant in the Cincinnati area. She thanks her family, friends and especially her dog Tootsie for their support throughout this musical theatre adventure!

CATHERINE FIELDS SHULTZ(Actress, Waitress, Doctor) is excited about her CMT debut! Past favorite roles include Reno-Anything Goes; Rona-25th Annual Spelling Bee; Mrs. Greer-Annie; Sugar in Sugar. She enjoyed doing Miss Saigon with son Jack who shined as 6-yr old Tam. Theater is in the family—all 3 kids were just in Carnival! She’s recorded demos for songwriters, sung in area restaurants, toured with Rap artist & sings in church. A grad of Miami Univ, she is now Sr. Director with Pearson Education. Thanks to Skip and team for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful production.

JOHN SLOAN(1st Finance Man, Salesman, Grip, Policeman) is happy to be back again for his third production with Cincinnati Music Theatre. He was previously seen in CMT’s productions of H.M.S. Pinafore and The Music Man. Other productions include: Oklahoma (Jud Fry), Guys and Dolls (Sky Masterson), The Producers (Lead Tenor, Storm Trooper), The Pirates of Penzance (Major-General Stanley), Come Blow Your Horn (Buddy), Sweeney Todd, and most recently, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ching-Ho). John has a B.A. in music from Bowling Green State University.

KAREN SOWARDS(Joanna, Masseuse, Reporter) is excited to be making her CMT debut with this production! Some of her favorite theatre credits include Annie, Anything Goes, Oliver!, The Little Mermaid, Return to the Forbidden Planet, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cinderella, Fiddler on the Roof and The Passion of Dracula. Apart from her love of theatre, Karen enjoys tap dancing, playing the ukulele, and all things Ethel Merman. She thanks her family and friends for their support in chasing her dreams and Skip for giving her the opportunity.

E. SHANE TALBOTT(Young Writer, Barman, Salesman, Grip, Policeman) is excited to be cast in the ensemble for Sunset Boulevard—his first role with Cincinnati Music Theatre, but he is no stranger to the stage. He was last seen as The Minstrel in Once Upon a Mattress. His favorite role was as Underling in The Drowsy Chaperone and never misses a chance to enjoy ice water. When not pursuing his stellar acting career, Shane can be heard in the first tenor section of the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus. Shane resides in Dayton, KY, with his partner Wes Wright and their handsome cat NikNik.

SAMANTHA TOBERMAN(Secretary, Astrologer, Nurse) is happy to be working with Skip, Kendra, and Brian again. Past CMT experiences include H.M.S. Pinafore (Cousin Hebe), La Cage aux Folles (Mme Dindon), and 42nd Street (Dorothy Brock). Recent roles elsewhere include the Mother, Judge (etc.) in Legally Blonde the Musical (Brieabi), Signora Naccarelli in The Light in the Piazza (Footlighters), Widow Douglas, Aunt Sally in Big River (Carnegie), and Orange Girl in Shout (Mariemont). She loves traveling the world, scuba diving and skiing with husband Chuck Strain.

ROBERT E. WORKLEY(2nd Finance Man, Actor, Salesman, Reporter) is happy to be in Sunset Boulevard, his 6th performance with CMT. Most recently, Rob played Benjamin Guggenheim in CMT’s production of Titanic. Previous shows include La Cage aux Folles, Curtains and The Drowsy Chaperone. Thanks to all the friends who continuously support his theater efforts including the current and former P&Gers, my softball, volleyball and bowling friends and of course, my family. A shout out to my theater friends... your talent, love and friendship are an inspiration to me!

BUD WALTERS(Jonesy) last appeared as Underling in Drowsy Chaperone and is delighted to be working with CMT once again. Professional stage credits include Beef N’ Boards , La Comedia, Edgecliff, Miami University and the Playboy Club. He has created roles in Curtains, Hello, Dolly!, The Odd Couple, Fantastiks, Forum, Sweet Bird of Youth, Camelot, California Suite, The Lion in Winter, Baby, and The1940s Radio Hour to name a few. Film credits include, Rain Man with Tom Cruise and Bluegrass with Cheryl Ladd. DEB SCHUBERT(Producer) Is excited to be producing for her dear

friend and director extraordinaire, Skip Fenker.

While Deb has been behind the scenes in this

production, she is usually on stage belting her

face off. Deb was last seen on the CMT stage as

Velma VonTussle in Hairspray and as Eva Peron

in Evita. This past Fall, Deb played Paulette in

Legally Blonde, the Musical and a ga-zillion other

shows in between. To Skip, thank you for the

opportunity to work beside your sheer brilliance

and to Tom for showing me the true meaning of

contentment.

KATHY BEITING(Associate Producer) is proud to be involved

with her 41st CMT production. She has sung in

the ensemble, served as stage manager, worked

crew, run the spotlight, and enjoyed producing or

co-producing 20 shows over the past 22 years,

including Sweeney Todd, My Fair Lady, Evita, Carousel, Ragtime, 42nd Street, La Cage aux Folles, H.M.S. Pinafore, Gypsy, Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone, Hairspray and Titanic. She is VP Production of the CMT Board of

Trustees and thoroughly enjoys retirement with

her husband John. Thanks to everyone for their

support of CMT.

SKIP FENKER(Director) most recently directed CMT’s sold

out production of Hairspray. His other CMT

directing credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, Curtains, La Cage aux Folles, Damn Yankees, Carousel, Mame and CEA Award winning

productions of Gypsy and Chicago. Around

town, he has directed productions of Sweeney Todd, And The World Goes ‘Round, Into the Woods, Side By Side By Sondheim and A New Brain for Footlighters, Inc., 110 in the Shade, A Grand Night For Singing, Is There Life After High School?, Baby, Dames At Sea, I Do! I Do!, The Curious Savage and The Shadow Box for Mariemont Players; Falsettos, Closer Than Ever, Working, The 1940s Radio Hour, Barnum, Nunsense II, The Grass Harp and The Boys Next Door for Aurelia Theatricals. Other

directing credits include Two By Two, Carnival, Mack & Mabel, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie

Brown. Along the way, he has won his fair

share of awards, but he is most grateful for the

opportunities he has had to work with a multitude

of dedicated and talented theatre artists and for

the enduring friendships that have come out of

his work in the theatre.

KENDRA STRUTHERS(Musical Director) has never seen the movie

Sunset Boulevard but has driven past the exit.

Previously she music directed CMT’s Gypsy, Curtains and Hairspray. Onstage she has played

many roles, including Little Buttercup in H.M.S. Pinafore (CMT), Woman 2 in Songs for a New World (Showbiz Players), Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd and Lin in The Great American Trailer Park Musical (both at Footlighters). Kendra serves as

VP Creative on the CMT board. She is an avid

reader, an accomplished knitter, and a casual

gamer.

SARAH MIZELLE(Associate Vocal Director) is honored to be a part

of this amazing production to celebrate CMT’s

50th anniversary! While she loves helping behind

the scenes, Sarah also loves appearing on stage.

Favorite past roles include: Sarah in Company,

Cathy in The Last Five Years, Mazeppa in Gypsy

and Ensemble in The Drowsy Chaperone. When

not helping out with CMT shows, Sarah can be

found at the School for Creative & Performing

Arts, where she works as the Executive Director

of the Friends of SCPA.

BRIAN ANDERSON(Choreographer) has been with CMT since

2000, when he played Che in Evita and won

a Cincinnati Entertainment Award for his

performance. He has previously choreographed

Carousel and Hairspray and directed/

choreographed 42nd Street. Onstage, he

has been in leads (Chess), supporting roles

(Ragtime, Company), ensembles (La Cage aux Folles) and bit parts (She Loves Me). Brian will

direct CMT’s A Chorus Line this fall. Naturally, his

day job is in accounting. As always, he thanks his

husband Gordon for his love and support.

MIKE FIELDER(Assistant Choreographer) is thrilled to be

debuting with CMT and working with an incredibly

adaptable cast and amazing production staff.

Mike has performed and directed with Falcon

Theater and the Showboat Majestic. He is a

proud graduate of Roosevelt University’s College

of Performing Arts in Chicago.

DAVID ZLATIC(Scenic, Lighting and Projection Designer) has

previously been Lighting and Set Designer, SM,

and Producer for multiple CMT productions.

He co-produced both Chicago and Gypsy—

winners of the CEA for Best Community Theatre

Production. He has received Orchids for Stage

Management, Producing & Scenic Design. He

holds his BA in Design from the University of

Dayton and MBA from Xavier University. Outside

CMT, he works at Xavier University where he is

the technical director and faculty for the Theatre

Department. Dave thanks his lovely wife, family,

and friends for their support.

ELAINE K. MICHAEL(Costume Designer) returns to CMT after

costuming last season’s production of Hairspray.

Other shows costumed for CMT: The Drowsy Chaperone, Curtains, Gypsy, Follies, Damn Yankees, Anything Goes, Sweeney Todd, and City of Angels. Other recent costume

projects include Snoopy the Musical for Drama

Workshop. Elaine is also an actress and was seen

most recently on Tri County Players stage as Mrs.

Carpenter in Nuptials. As always, much love to

Mike & Kaylee. Thanks for letting me play!

BRENDAN CLASSEN(Sound Designer) has been involved with local

community theater groups in Cincinnati for the

last 4 years. Past performances include Man of La Mancha, Little Shop of Horrors, Legally Blonde, and Schoolhouse Rock Live. Most of

the time he has worked behind the scenes as

sound designer and executor. Recently he is

proud to have received an ACT award for his

work on Rent with Footlighters. Brendan would

like to thank CMT for the opportunity to work with

such a talented cast on such a classic musical.

ERIC BARDES(Associate Sound Designer) has been a member

of CMT since the 1990 production of Oklahoma! and has contributed to nearly every show since.

Eric is also on the Board of Trustees of CMT.

Over the years, some of Eric’s favorite CMT

shows include Sweeney Todd, Chicago, 42nd Street, Gypsy, Beauty and the Beast. Eric has

also contributed to or advised several schools

and youth groups including McNicholas HS, Mars

Hill Academy, St. Ursula High School, Wyoming

School, Cincinnati Country Day School, The

Children’s Theatre of Mason and Theatre in the

Loop.

CATHERINE ROSS(Norma Desmond Costume Designer) has

worked both as costume sewing assistant and

onstage for CMT. She was seen in Cinderella

(Queen), Follies (Sally Plummer), The Music Man

(Eulalie Shinn), and The Drowsy Chaperone

(Trix the Aviatrix). She worked on costumes for

Sweeney Todd, City of Angels, Follies, Gypsy, Curtains, The Music Man, and The Drowsy Chaperone, and won second place at OCTA with

her set of three burlesque stripper costumes

the year of that show. She thanks her family for

putting up with the clippings, piles of fabric, and

wafting bits of fake fur!

BARB HOFFMANN(Properties, Set Décor) has been a prop and set

décor techie for 43 years. She is pleased again

to be on a scavenger hunt for strange props.

Winner of several Orchid Awards, she has most

recently worked with Footlighters, Loveland Stage

Company, Ovation Theater and Sorg Opera as

well as many other community theater groups.

Favorite credits include Kismet, Tosca, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Sweeney Todd and of course

South Pacific. In addition you may recognize her

at the Box Office of The Aronoff Center. Thanks

again to Willow and Heidie and my new kitchen.

DENNIS MURPHY(Production Stage Manager)has stage managed

a CMT production twice, having previously stage

managed Mame while appearing onstage as the

stage manager. Dennis later played Johnny, the

stage manager character, in Curtains. Dennis

also has appeared in the roles of director,

choreographer and set and lighting designer for

other CMT productions including Beauty and the Beast, Hello, Dolly!, Kiss Me, Kate, She Loves Me and Funny Girl. Dennis’ favorite role for CMT

was as Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady.

TERESA JOHNS(Assistant Stage Manager) is excited to be

working with CMT for the first time. She has

previously produced, stage managed, and

designed print work for Brieabi Productions.

Teresa, an Anderson Township native, attended

the University of Cincinnati where she received

her degree in Industrial Design. She currently

works at Jack Rouse Associates (JRA) designing

theme parks, museums, visitor centers, and sports

venues around the world. She is thankful to her

husband, Billy, and her son, Will, for supporting all

of her endeavors.

JOHN SCHNEIDER(Master Carpenter) John is incredibly proud to

be a part of Sunset Boulevard! Witnessing this

incredible cast prepare for this show has been an

amazing experience. Over the past several years

he has served as Master Carpenter for Seussical with MCP, Properties for Boys Next Door and

Moon Over Buffalo with Brieabi, and Stage Crew

for more shows that can think of. His next duties

are as Stage Manager for Brieabi’s Oklahoma! and Producer for Brieabi’s Les Misérables.

JULIE BEELMAN(Master Painter) is a Middle School Counselor

in Milford. Originally from Saginaw, Michigan,

she has lived in Cinci for 11 years, participating

in 22 CMT shows. Julie helped with the set for

The Sound of Music, Mame, and Ragtime. She

was also Asst. Master Painter for Kiss Me Kate, Big, and 42nd Street. Julie was Master Painter

for Chicago, Chess, La Cage aux Folles, Hello, Dolly!, and Follies, Beauty and the Beast, Gypsy, Curtains, and Company. She served as a

Producer for Hello, Dolly!, Guys and Dolls and

The Music Man. Julie enjoys working backstage

for all the CMT shows and being Secretary on the

CMT Board. Ms. Beelman sends love to her sister

Amanda and her Mom and Dad for introducing

her to and being part of her CMT family.

CHRISTINA REINERMAN(Publicity, Marketing, Social Media Director)

has long been active in theater and performed

in CMT’s productions of Follies, Gypsy and

Curtains for which she won an Orchid for

Excellence in Vocal Performance and Acting as

the title role by ACT. She is member-at-large

for CMT and has led PR campaigns for CMT

on many productions. She has nearly 10 years

of experience in communications and works for

Mitchell Communications located in Fayetteville,

AR where she is the team lead for the Walmart

store openings account. She splits her time

between her home in Blue Ash as well as in

Fayetteville.

LINDA ABBOTT(Keyboard) is happy to be playing keyboard for CMT again. Linda has worked in many theatres in Cincinnati and Los Angeles, working as music director and accompanist. For over 20 years Linda has been a school choral and drama director, and is also a church musician. Linda was proud to be the recipient of the 2011 Lakota Educator of Excellence Award. In her spare time, Linda loves cheering on the Reds!

RON ATTREAU(Keyboard) is thrilled to be part of his first CMT production, Sunset Boulevard, playing one of the four keyboard books. Ron has been involved in many professional and community theatre productions throughout Chicagoland, Central Illinois, and Greater Cincinnati as a music director for both vocals and pit orchestra, a keyboardist, as well as a multi-woodwind instrumentalist. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree (Instrumental) from the University of Illinois. Ron is currently a music teacher in the Princeton City School District.

TED BALDWIN(Keyboard) is proud to play for another CMT show! He is active as a collaborative pianist and accompanist. He has lent musical talents to CMT’s productions of Company, Hairspray, Curtains, Beauty and the Beast, and Follies. Other recent productions include Altar Boyz, Great American Trailer Park, and Songs for a New World. By day, he directs the Science and Engineering Library at University of Cincinnati. He sends much love to Dale, his partner of 15 years.

BRAD BENICK(Trumpet) is happy to be back playing trumpet for CMT and always thrilled to be under the stage. Brad considers himself a real patron of the arts. Favorite musicals include the one with the guy with a mask, the one about that weird town, and the one where a group of people are upset about something and they go on and on about it.

TIM BINZER(Guitar) played guitar for the previous CMT productions of Hairspray, Chess and Evita. He has also played for Xavier University, Footlighters, Brieabi, Falcon Theater and others. Tim would like to thank his parents for many years of music lessons.

JACKIE CRABTREE(Flute, Piccolo, Alto Flute) is excited to play her first CMT production! Favorite shows played: Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, Children of Eden, and Parade (with Footlighters) plus Cinderella; NKU theatre, and Ragtime; XU theatre. She is a 25-year member (and lead flutist) with the Florence Community Band. Retired after teaching 35 years, she now spends the year working as a resource teacher for gifted and talented 4th and 5th graders. She thanks CMT for this wonderful opportunity and her husband and two cats for tolerating all the practicing.

JULIE DEMATTEIS (Percussion) has been playing for over 30 years. She holds two Bachelor of Music degrees in Percussion Performance and Music Education as well as a Master’s in Musicology. While living in southern California she played in musical productions at both the semi-pro and professional level. She has played with various symphonies, as well as being a part of studio recording projects for Sony and Capitol records. Since returning to Ohio, she has been in the pit for over 25 shows. She currently works at Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue in Cincinnati,Ohio.www.louieslegacy.org. And yes, all that stuff is hers!

LISA HOLT(Clarinet, Alto Sax, Flute) found her muse performing in pit orchestras back in the dark ages of the ‘60s. Classically trained as a clarinetist, she has added instruments to her arsenal to more easily and frequently indulge her love of musical theatre. She has played scores of shows for theatre companies all around the area, and prefers sitting underneath any stage to sitting on it.

If you haven’t seen her somewhere, well, you really should get out more. In her other life, she makes an occasional appearance as a pharmacist.

CHUCK KLEESATTEL(Bass Guitar) is very happy to be a part of CMT’s production of Sunset Boulevard. Classically trained as a brass player, Chuck now enjoys bass playing in the dark confines of the musical pit orchestra. When not hiding in the shadows of Broadway he teaches music in Mason City Schools or waits with his wife Amy for phone calls from their children.

FRED MARTENS(Clarinet, Tenor Sax, Bass Clarinet) loved seeing Sunset on tour, and is thrilled to get to play this dark, lurid, 5/8 music himself. By day he creates web + print designs at MartensArt.com, and created the graphics for this show. Evenings he performs with the Lebanon Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Metropolitan Orchchestra, Epic Winds Trio, or is playing his heart out for a musical. Favorites: The Last 5 Years; Falcon and Ragtime; XU Theatre. He thanks his great orchestra pit friends, and Warren for listening to him for 33 years. “Now, who is doing Wicked?”

ROGER ORTH(Trombone) can be found wielding his solid gold trombone in numerous local musical productions in the vain attempt to prove that there is more to his instrument than making clown noises. While recovering from these efforts, Roger enjoys traveling throughout Westeros. After narrowly losing the governor’s race in Woodbury, he spends time at Thomas Edison’s company as an assistant to the master of coin. Thanks to Skip and Kendra for another great show! (P.S. CHUCK STRAIN(French Horn) is a DUI defense lawyer, a frequent speaker on DUI law, ethics, professionalism, and substance abuse, and president of the Lawyers’ Club of Cincinnati. But his main job is entertaining wife Samantha Toberman, including forging her fan mail. Almost as much as theatre, he loves old cars, craft beers, Alpine skiing, scuba diving, and cultural travel. A member of the Kentucky Symphony, Chuck relishes his CMT debut with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s favorite opus. And he identifies with Joe Gillis, also born in Dayton on December 21.

CHARLES WILHELM(French Horn) has been a member of CMT since 1973 and also plays French Horn for the Cincinnati Metropolitan Orchestra. He has worked set construction, stage crew, member of the Board and various committees. He worked for Brown-Campbell Co. and they have supplied various set pieces for many productions. He is grateful to be a part of the CMT orchestra.
