More than 4,000 students live in 20 residence halls on Loyola’s 45-acre main residential campus, located on Chicago’s North Side along the shore of Lake Michigan. It is home to the College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate School, Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, and to select School of Education programs and services. Loyola’s downtown campus is steps from North Michigan Avenue, Chicago’s Mag-nificent Mile. The Water Tower Campus is home to the Quinlan School of Business, School of Communication, School of Education, School of Law, and School of Social Work, and to select programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. This campus also houses the Loyola University Museum of Art, Terry Student Center, and Baumhart Hall, where approximately 400 upper-class and graduate students reside.

• Loyola provides comfortable, attractive housing in five traditional residence halls, two-suite style halls, and 13 apartment-style residences.

• Freshmen and sophomores under 21 must live on campus, unless they live at home with a parent or guardian, offering a greater sense of community.

TRANSFER ADMISSIONTransfer students must have graduated from high school or completed a GED and have completed 20 credit hours of transferable college credit. Admission is based on college cumulative GPA. Without 20 transferable credit hours, high school transcripts and standardized test scores are required for admission.
