About David Tubb —David Tubb is arguably the best, and win-

ningest, competitive rifleman in history. He has

won (to date) a record eleven NRA National

High Power Rifle Championship titles at Camp

Perry, Ohio. In addition, David is an NRA Sil-

houette Rifle legend, having won nearly 30

open, individual national championship titles in

all four rifle categories. David has also won

seven Sportsmen’s Team Challenge champi-

onships along with six NRA Long Range Rifle (600-1000 yd.) national championships (including history’s

first and only perfect score). Trophies aside, though, we think that David’s biggest contribution to our

shooting sports is his innovative mind. David has always been a trend setter and model of potentials.

The underlying essence behind Superior Shooting Systems Inc. and DTAC developments is the continued

advancement of the “human factor” in shooting. The majority of equipment enhancements contained here

were designed to help the shooter perform better and gain more success, enjoyment, and satisfaction

from his shooting experience, whether on a competitive firing line or in the field.

FinalFinish™ Bore Conditioning

System represents a signifi-

cant advancement in the

enhancement of fire-

arm performance. It’s

a better barrel in a box!

FinalFinish™ is an easy,

do-it-yourself process that

will give the barrel on your

firearm a more uniform and pol-

ished bore. This will allow you to increase

velocity, reduce fouling, make cleaning easier, and,

most importantly, the successive application of the five different FinalFinish™

compounds will improve the quality of the barrel.

When any barrel is made — custom or production — it first has to be drilled. As with any cutting

tool, the drill leaves behind its signature: tool marks. Tool marks are blemishes that remain in the

metal surface as the result of disruption to the metal. The rifling process then adds more tool

marks and imperfections, regardless of the rifling system

used (hammer-forged included). These marks normally run

in the opposite direction the bullet travels, creating “speed

bumps” the bullet must negotiate: a bumpy ride down the

barrel which ends in a bumpy flight to the target. Plus, the

corrugated and unpolished surface of most barrels creates

friction. This friction snags and abrades the bullet jacket,

and the rough surface collects firing residue as well as bul-

let jacket material (fouling).

Another cutting tool is also used in the manufacture of the

barrel — the chambering reamer. This tool creates more

tool marks and rough areas. The throat has proven to be

one of the most critical areas of the barrel. If a bullet does-

n’t get a smooth start it can’t very well attain a smooth flight.

FinalFinish™ eradicates most all of these tool marks and

leaves a lapped surface in its place.

Since even the most precisely manufactured barrels cannot

be made perfect, variations in bore diameter can and do

occur. Variations in bore diameters can ultimately mean

variations in land (rifling) measurements, and it’s the lands

that drive the bullet. Bore diameter variations can be signif-

icant. FinalFinish™ greatly improves the uniformity over the full length of the barrel. While it is possible for

a skilled gunsmith to hand-lap your factory barrel, it won’t be cheap and you must cut and re-crown the

muzzle. You can get most of the beneficial effects yourself in one morning at the range using FinalFinish™.

Using this product on your new rifle will complete the break-in process as well as promote all the accura-

cy your barrel intrinsically has.

FinalFinish™ is designed to improve mass-produced factory barrels. It will produce dramatic improvements

in these barrels. The improved polish and smoothness will allow you to increase velocity and reduce foul-

ing. This means that more rounds can be fired without accuracy deterioration. (Some of the most impres-

sive results with FinalFinish™ have come in factory-barreled handguns. Our test firearms showed an aver-

age of 60-percent smaller groups! Lead bullet shooters especially will find much easier clean up too.)

FinalFinish™ is not just for new barrels. As a rifle is fired, the intense heat and pressure created just forward

of the chamber eat away at the metal. The number of rounds it takes for this action to affect accuracy

varies with the cartridge, but all rifles eventually succumb to “throat erosion.” The ultimate problem is the

roughness and unevenness left behind. A longer throat doesn’t have to mean poorer accuracy, but a

rough throat most certainly does. FinalFinish™ can’t guarantee miracles, but in almost all cases it will

“restore” a worn barrel’s performance by smoothing this eroded area. Barrels also become damaged from

cleaning rods, cleaning solvents, and corrosion. FinalFinish™ will smooth away such surface irregularities.

The factory barrel on the right was treated to FinalFinish™. On the left is an untreated barrel of the samemake. The throat area improvement is dramatic.

THIS PRODUCT ENGINEERED FOR USE ONLY ON FACTORY BARRELS!

“ORIGINAL” 50-BULLET KIT

FinalFinish™ offers more thorough

smoothing and polishing through

its progressive combination of

compounds for factory production

barrels. TMS™ utilizes one very

fine grade compound as a polish-

ing agent for custom hand-lapped

barrels and for factory barrels that

have been previously treated with

FinalFinish™.

WHICH SYSTEM IS BEST FOR ME?

FOR CUSTOM, HAND-LAPPED BARRELS WE RECOMMEND OUR TMS™ SYSTEM ON THE NEXT PAGE.

FinalFinish™ is engineered for use only on factory barrels. If you have a match-gradehand-lapped barrel choose our TMS™ product on the following page.

Page 4: Superior Shooting Systems Catalog 2007

TMS™ [throat maintenance system]This addition to the FinalFinish™ product line is intended for use by

competition shooters and others who demand high performance

from quality barrels. TMS™ greatly extends accurate barrel life.

TMS™ is also the perfect compliment to FinalFinish™. On a factory

barrel, TMS™ will help to maintain the smoother internal barrel finish

that resulted from its FinalFinish™ treatment. These bullets are coated with

a specially chosen single polishing compound that will smooth and maintain the

throat in your firearm, thereby significantly offsetting the effects of throat erosion — the

number-one culprit in barrel wear and accuracy loss.

Barrel “wear” is really throat erosion. The throat in a rifle barrel is an area several inches long ahead of the

chamber. This portion of the barrel receives the full force of the firing process. Extreme temperatures, blaz-

ing gases, and radical expansion eat into barrel steel causing stress cracks, pitting, and roughness. Under

high magnification the throat starts looking like cracked mud plates in a dried up lake bed! The edges of

these plates tend to cup upward and form teeth like a file. These teeth grab and rip the bullet jacket. When

the bullet jacket is damaged in this way, bullet integrity is compromised and poor accuracy can result.

FinalFinish TMS™ bullets are specially engineered to smooth over these sharp teeth, helping restore and

maintain throat integrity. Two or three TMS™ rounds every 200-300 shots will greatly extend the accurate

life of your barrel, whether it is a match-grade hand-lapped barrel or an out-of-the-box factory rifle. TMS™

also significantly improves the land’s signature mark on the bullet (when seating the bullet into the rifling)

and hence eases the bullet’s transition into the bore. When this occurs, better accuracy results!

Final-Finish™System

n TMS™n FinalFinish™n .22

FinalFinish™ .22Unlock the potential of your rim-

fire rifle or handgun!

FinalFinish™ .22 can have an

impressive effect on smallbore

firearms. Many production .22 rimfire

rifles and pistols have much more poten-

tial for accuracy than their barrels allow.

Rimfire barrels respond very well to our exclusive multi-stage FinalFinish™ polishing treatment. Our tests

have shown that some of the greatest accuracy enhancements documented for FinalFinish™ have come

from treated .22 rimfires.

We’re not saying that FinalFinish™ can create a match barrel overnight, but we have seen factory barrels

surpass custom barrel status following a treatment. WIth good ammunition, group size reductions of over

half are common.

Since we’re shooting lead bullets, a smoother, polished bore means far less lead buildup. That will greatly

extend the number of rounds that can be fired at optimum accuracy. Barrels also clean up much easier

after a FinalFinish™ .22 treatment.

We also recommend FinalFinish™ .22 for use in that old favorite rimfire that’s had a few too many rounds

put through it. After FinalFinish™ you might think it’s been rebar-

reled! Additionally, even the most expensive competition firearms

gain from proportioned use of the FinalFinish™ .22. For these

firearms we recommend using a few rounds of the finer compound

bullets.

Since it’s loaded ammunition, using it couldn’t be easier. For a pro-

duction rimfire barrel, clean the barrel before you start, shoot all 100

FinalFinish™ rimfire rounds in order, and then clean again when

you’re through.

You’re done!

Rifleman’s Guide To Rimfire Ammunition.

We have stacks of testimonials from customers attesting to the accuracyenhancements possible with FinalFinish™. FinalFinish™, whether for centerfirerifle and pistol or for .22 rimfire, is designed and intended for use in productionbarrels. Centerfire match barrels need TMS™ and rimfire match barrels requireapportioned use of the finer compounds contained in a FinalFinish™ .22 kit.

WHICH SYSTEM IS BEST FOR ME?

How do you break in a hand-lapped barrel? The tube itself is a thing of beauty until the chamber andthroat are cut. Then there are sharp edges, burrs, and reamer marks in the throat, which is the first thing thebullet encounters. We believe that “break-in” consists primarily of smoothing these sharp edges, burrs, andtool marks. TMS™ is an ideal and quick method for this purpose — shoot 3 TMS™ rounds, clean, shoot 3more. Now the throat looks just like the rest of your hand-lapped tube and you’ve got the rest of the kit forperiodic maintenance. We also offer a TMS™ Barrel Break-In Kit (see sidebar).

DTAC Loaded AmmoAA nneeww ssttaannddaarrdd ffoorr eexxcceelllleennccee..

The question was easy to ask and easy to

answer: How can we make the best ammuni-

tion on the market?

Start with carefully chosen and segregated

components, develop a proven load combina-

tion that maximized both velocity and accura-

cy, and then assemble each and every round

as if it was to fire the last “x” needed to win a

national championship, or as if someone’s

“shot of a lifetime” in the field depended on its

performance.

DTAC ammunition is produced to a standard

previously unavailable from the ammunition

manufacturing industry. All DTAC Loaded

Ammo is manufactured following strict quality

control guidelines by people who know and

care about extreme rifle performance.

DTAC offers a standard of excellence equiva-

lent to the most meticulously prepared hand-

loaded ammunition, including select extruded

propellants chosen for temperature insensi-

tivity, precisely weighed propellant charges,

concentricity tolerance, uniform ballistic per-

formance, and detailed component prepara-

tion.

DTAC ammunition is engineered to be capa-

ble of firing a 10-inch vertical 10-shot group

at 1000 yards.

DTAC Loaded Ammo is packed in 50-round

This was more than a business decision, however. The primary goal of DTAC is to advance the state of

ammunition, component, and precision systems quality and performance to standards not approached by

the mainstream industry. Combining David Tubb’s incredible skill as a shooter and his “no compromises”

attitude that gained him some 40 open, individual national championship titles as a rifleman, along with

his proven ability to engineer solutions that further advance equipment capabilities, DTAC is a showcase

for cutting-edge precision technology. Teamed with engineer, Brand Cole, DTAC will set new standards

for years to come.

The DTAC product line includes bullets, loaded ammunition, and a new concept in scope reticle design.

DTAC 115-grain 6mm Competition BulletThis bullet is undefeated since its inception in 2004. It

won both the 2004 NRA High Power Long Range Rifle

Championship and across-the-course titles. The Long

tured by Sierra® to David

Tubb’s standards and repre-

sents a significant advancement

in high performance rifle capa-

bilities. When fired in .243 or

6XC, or equivalent cartridges,

this bullet exhibits very little recoil yet has impressive

downrange ballistics. Compared to 142-grain 6.5mm

bullets, the DTAC 115-grain 6mm has a competitive bal-

listic coefficient and can attain higher velocity. Wind drift

performance is virtually identical at 1000 yards. 200 and

300 yard performance of the 6mms, though, is quite a

lot better. The DTAC 115-grain 6mm allows a shooter to

fire a lighter recoiling rifle across the course with no dis-

advantage on longer-range targets.

DTAC 115-grain 6mm Competition Bullet is available in

6XCDavid Tubb began his efforts to improve cartridge design for mag-

azine-fed, short-action rifles after being disappointed in the per-

formance of some of the popular rounds then in use. The result

ultimately was the 6XC. Originally based on a fire-formed .22-.250

case, the 6XC has proven to be the best of all worlds – low recoil,

superb accuracy, reasonable barrel life, and tremendous ballistic

performance at all ranges. With brass and factory-loaded ammu-

nition available, the 6XC is one of the very few “wildcats” that have

gone on to become a standard cartridge. Through Norma, the

6XC is C.I.P. certified (European equivalent of SAAMI).

11 The cartridge case body length allows seating depths of high

ballistic coefficient bullets to be optimized for use in short box

magazines.

22 The round dimensions and dynamics produce excellent feed-

ing performance in short action rifles.

33 The 6XC’s 30-degree case shoulder results in superb efficien-

cy and also minimal case growth (less case trimming required).

We have found that velocities attainable with the 6XC are equiva-

lent to those attainable using .243 Winchester (2950+ fps with a

115 gr. DTAC bullet). Barrel life is much better than .243 Winches-

ter due to the fact that the 6XC has about 7 grains less powder

capacity. Compared to other rounds, such as .260 Remington, the

6XC is ideally suited to magazine-fed rifles such as the T2K or AR-

10. Rounds can be made short enough

to fit the magazine box yet a 107 or 115

grain 6mm bullet can be seated to an

optimal depth for best performance and

accuracy. This is simply not possible with

a longer case. Additionally, there is plen-

ty of flexibility in seating depth to allow

the shooter to move the bullet outward

as the throat wears and still stay within

the magazine. Compared to 6mmBR, the

6XC exhibits superior ballistic perfor-

mance, as well as better feeding in stan-

dard-length actions. In addition to elimi-

nating the problems associated with

magazine-length-round bullet seating

(keeping the bullet’s full caliber diameter out of the case neck “doughnut”), the 6XC is the best feeding

round we’ve ever found. Any shorter doesn’t work as well and any longer doesn’t either.

For Long Range or across-the-course (or both) 6XC is the ideal High Power competition round. It simply

has the most of everything we consider to be important attributes in a competitive- or precision-use round.

Custom 6XC Die SetOur custom sizing die has some advantages over conventional neck bushing style dies.

11 Both the neck and shoulder are included in our sizing die bushing, not just the neck. This is a better

design because it allows excess sizing lubricant a place to escape.

22 By having an integral neck and shoulder bushing, the entire case neck can be resized, unlike a neck

bushing full-length sizing die in which the very bottom of the case neck is never resized. Plus, having the

neck and shoulder bushing consolidated is an asset to concentricity in the sizing operation.

33 Since the neck and shoulder area are one piece, it is also possible to adjust the amount of case body

sizing and case shoulder set back independently, without compromising and being unable to size the full

length of the case neck to avoid having too much shoulder set back.

44 This die comes with two different bushings for use in sizing, and a third bushing designed to deter-

mine cartridge case headspace (amount of shoulder set back) when used in conjunction with calipers.

BSC [bearing surface comparator]

Grouping bullets together that are more nearly the same helps attain the goal of eliminating as many vari-

ables as possible. The Superior Shooting Systems Inc. Bearing Surface Comparator [BSC] provides an

effective way to measure the surface of the bullet which is in contact with the bore of your barrel. Small dif-

ferences (even a few thousands) in bullet bearing surfaces generate enough more (or less) friction that

the ignition, velocity, and pressures of the load are affected. Uniforming bullets into a consistent measure-

ment range will allow your standard deviation and extreme spreads to become closer, and, ultimately,

shoot smaller groups on target.

The BSC is designed as a caliber-specific instrument with different caliber attachments (sleeves/bush-

ings) available that fit from .222 through .338 diameter (caliber) bullets.

n BSC n BMU

Ballistic Meplat UniformerThe Ballistic Meplat Uniformer (BMU) allows the shooter to equalize the ballistic coefficient (BC) of like

kind and weight bullets. In other words, use of this tool will uniform the BCs of your favorite bullet or

even factory ammunition. It does this by uniforming the bullet's meplat (the diameter of the tip at the

nose of the bullet). In addition, the BMU also uniforms the length of the bullet's frontal section (the dis-

tance from the full caliber diameter nearest the front of the bullet to the tip of the bullet). Furthermore,

our tests have shown that uniforming the meplats on a box of 100 match bullets and reweighing them

virtually eliminated the usual weight variance encountered in non-uniformed bullets.

Uniforming the meplat reduces the ballistic coefficient of the bullet by approximately 2%. However, it

results in more consistent shot placements — smaller groups. This improvement is magnified the farther

the shooting distance. Your groups will be smaller and your downrange shot-to-shot chronograph

readings will be closer together — therefore, your rifle and ammunition combination will show an

increase in repeatable shot-to-shot performance. The 2% BC reduction results in an additional 1.25

inches of drift at 1000 yards (Sierra 107 6mm at 3000 fps) — substantially less than one windage click

on a 1/4 minute match rear sight.

When accurate ammunition loading techniques are utilized, the BMU has demonstrated that down-

range velocity readings (extreme spreads) can be cut in half compared to non-uniformed bullets and

even show occasional identical velocity readings from one shot to the next — this almost never happens

with bullets that have not been uniformed. The on-target results are overall smaller shot groups. Any

inconsistencies in one’s ammunition are magnified the farther the bullets travel. Experienced long range

shooters know that points lost to elevation (shots hitting higher or lower on the target face) are the

most common symptom of ammunition inconsistencies.

This product is currently being used with great success by 1000-yard benchrest shooters as well as

across-the-course High Power Rifle and Long Range target shooters. All have commented that the

BMU makes their groups rounder by minimizing “flyers” (less vertical dispersion). Across-the-course

and Long Range target shooters tend to notice that BMU use makes their rifle shoot flatter groups

(minimizes elevation shots); since their course of fire is typically shot over a longer time period they are

more susceptible to wind and mirage changes.

If you want your ammunition to exhibit a noticeable accuracy

improvement, this is a step the serious shooter simply cannot afford

to skip.

Uniformed meplat. The downrange

difference following this operation

is truly astounding. The BMU can

also be used on factory ammo. Our

300-yard machine rest testing of

Federal Match .308 showed a min-

imum decrease in group size of

15% (average of 10 different 10-

shot groups) with some of the

groups showing 35-40% reduc-

tions in group size. Expect group

size reductions to be more dra-

matic the farther the bullets travel.

DTAC ReticleOur goal for the DTAC scope reticle was to create a telescopic sighting system for field shooting that

encompassed the following five attributes:

AA ssyysstteemm that is very quick to use, and allows for shots

from point blank range to well beyond 1000 yards.

AA ssyysstteemm that does not require an auxil-

iary computer or data book whose

loss or failure would leave you

stranded, and whose use in

general is slow and takes

the shooter’s attention

away from the target.

AA ssyysstteemm that can

adapt to changing

atmospheric con-

ditions, allowing

its use in most

any reasonable

g e o g r a p h i c

location.

AA ssyysstteemm that

provides its user

the means to

actually determine

the range to the tar-

get, not just measure

it in MILS or MOA (min-

utes of angle).

AA ssyysstteemm that requires little or

no mathematic calculations of the

user.

MMeeeettiinngg aallll ffiivvee ggooaallss was accomplished by employing two concepts:

Make the reticle “caliber specific.” Each DTAC scope is set up for a bullet with a specific ballistic coeffi-

cient (BC) and muzzle velocity (MV) under a given set of atmospheric conditions.

Provide graphs in the reticle to facilitate all necessary ranging and ballistic computations. This allows the

user to make reasonably accurate compensations for varying shooting conditions without looking away

from the scope.

TThhee rreessuulltt – the DTAC Reticle allows the shooter to quickly and accurately make compensations to get the

first shot on target better than any other system we know of.

DTAC

n Reticle

17The DTAC Reticle goes far beyond other available reticles. All the information you need to adjust for range,

temperature, altitude, up or down hill targets, and wind speed and direction – and it’s all right inside the

scope! The concept of “density altitude” is a key component in the effectiveness and reliability of the DTAC

Reticle system. This allows the user to accurately compensate for changes in elevation and temperature,

both on his home ground or when he travels to another location.

A detailed, 36-page instruction manual comes with each reticle. This manual gives complete information

on the reticle use as well as providing essential background on the mathematics involved in its design.

T2K Spec-Tac-LR (Spectacular)[Specially configured TUBB 2000 available from Superior Shooting Systems Inc.]

The Spec-Tac-LR (Spectacular) is a further evolution of David Tubb’s quest for the ultimate long range

(target/varmint/tactical) rifle. It uses the same basic action of the highly successful TUBB 2000 (T2K)

that has won Camp Perry for the last 6 years running as well as several of the prestigious Camp Perry

1000-yard matches (Leech Cup iron sights and Wimbledon Cup optical sights).

In most accurate rifles, the barrel, action, trigger, and bedding are the four most important components.

With the T2K series of rifles the bedding component of the rifle has been totally eliminated. It allows an

armorer to make repairs or adjustments without having to match a bedded action to its specific stock.

Many of the aluminum parts on the Spectacular features a splash-anodized camo pattern. Its stainless

parts are black-oxide finished for maximum corrosion resistance.

LLeett’’ss ssttaarrtt aatt tthhee ffrroonntt eenndd ooff tthhiiss aammaazziinngg rriiffllee aanndd llooookk aatt iittss ffeeaattuurreess ––

The 5-port muzzle brake is direction-adjustable. This makes it possible to influence the sideward move-

ment of the rifle to help keep the rifle on target during recoil. Additionally the brake is also tunable to the

specific loading used by adjusting the brake outward on the barrel in order to balance the muzzle node.

The muzzle brake is locked in place by a trailing locking nut. This also allows you to reinstall the break on

the new barrel with having to time the brake to a specific shoulder stop.

The adjustable cant indicator (muzzle-mounted bubble level) is installed directly behind the locking nut of

the muzzle brake. This easy-to-see indicator allows the operator to level the rifle each time before firing

and is an essentially an infinity stare with the left eye when used in conjunction with the right eye looking

through the scope (other levels that attach to the scope require the user to pull his vision back to focus on

the level and then return to an infinity focus before making the shot). It is easily reversible for the left-hand-

ed shooter if desired. The cant indicator is made in such a way as not to glare or give away the shooter’s

location. The use of the cant indicator helps the user shoot tighter groups at longer ranges.

The Spectacular barrel contour is engineered to help keep dead weight off of the total package and yet

with no compromise on accuracy. The Schneider polygonal (5P) barrel is David Tubb’s pick as the one that

meets all parameters he has set for barrel life, accuracy, and ease of cleaning. This is a hand-lapped,

stress-relieved stainless barrel that requires a minimum of maintenance. The barrel is 26 inches in length.

On average, a Spectacular with DTAC ammunition will shoot 10-shot groups at 1000 yards that are less

than 10 inches in vertical dispersion out of the box (after the initial barrel throat break-in procedure).

David used a TUBB 2000c (competition)Camp Perry to claim his record eleventhchampionship. It was also a record set-ting performance — 2389-138X.

TUBB 2000[Manufactured by McBros Rifle Company]

The T2K is simply the finest centerfire target rifle available. It was engineered to deliver state-of-the-art

competitiveness out of the box — install sights and you’re ready for the firing line or field. The goal was to

develop an extremely accurate precision-built rifle that was completely adjustable to each individual

shooter. The T2K achieves this goal through carefully chosen components and the highest quality CNC

machining technology in the industry. The TUBB 2000 is not just an equivalent alternative to custom mod-

ified rifles — it is a clearly superior choice. Out-of-the-box, this rifle has won six consecutive NRA High

Power National Championships (including holding the record) and also NRA Long Range championship

events (1000-yard shooting).

The Spectacular knurled forend is 1.75 inches in diameter and very robust. It features three distinct and

movable picatinny sections. These delron and aluminum sections make for the easy addition of various

devices (laser, flashlight, night-vision, etc.) with a minimum vibration transference as well as quick discon-

nects for sling use (these rail sections are removable if desired).

The specially-designed bipod spud protrudes ahead from the forend and takes the standard Versa-Pod

bipod (also compatible with the Harris bipod). The spud also has a quick-release sling swivel attachment

built in. Its design allows the bipod to be quickly snapped on or off. The forend may be rotated and locked

into four distinct quadrants which allows picatinny-mounted devices to move into the line of sight or, for

example, move a bottom-mounted bipod to 12-o’clock position in order to facilitate shooting off of a pack

or over a ledge. This is accomplished by loosening the forend retaining nut a few turns, rotating the forend

to the desired position, and then hand-tightening the knurled nut. It takes about 10 seconds to index a

specific forend position. This allows the Spectacular to be used in several completely different ways as far

as using the forend for support and/or device use.

The action of the Spectacular is designed to have less than 5 pounds of upward bolt lift when operated

from the decocked (fired) position. This allows a properly trained operator to open and close the bolt of

the rifle with minimal effort using a single finger.

The Spectacular magazine housing uses SR-25 magazines (the rifle comes with a 10-round magazine). A

sling quick-disconnect is located in the forward section of the magazine housing. Additionally, there is also

a thumb disengaging safety designed so that your firing hand doesn’t leave its firing position when acti-

vating.

The rifle uses a specially designed chrome silicon spring and firing pin to reduce lock time. The lock time

of the Spectacular is less than 2 milliseconds, so a snapped shot will hit closer to aimed impact than it will

from a semi-auto firearm. An average semi-auto lock time is approximately 10 milliseconds. In effect, the

bullet from a Spectacular will be well on its way to the intended target before the semi-auto’s bullet leaves

the barrel if both triggers were activated at the same time.

Additionally, the Spectacular will shoot its groups into the same size range when loaded into the action

singly or fed from its magazine. Compared to single loading versus magazine-fed operation, all semi-autos

shoot groups that approach double the size. This is a major advantage for a properly designed bolt-action

rifle. The rate of accurate fire from the Spectacular in a trained operators hands compares favorably with

that of a semi-auto (the Spectacular has the ability to hit a 6-inch target at 600 yards multiple times with-

out missing – the semi-auto is incapable of doing this consistently when rounds are fired from the maga-

zine box). This makes the Spectacular stand alone when compared to a semi-auto for accurate follow-up

shots at long range. The fact the Spectacular’s bolt works underneath the users face allows quick and

accurate secondary shots without ever losing target acquisition by having to move your head to avoid the

bolt throw of most bolt action rifles (not to mention using the shooter’s complete hand to operate the bolt).

The picatinny (mil-spec.) rail on the Spectacular is very robust not only in exterior design but also due to its

use of 8X40 socket head mounting screws which secure the rail to the action. This effort was made to

keep a dropped rifle from shifting its zero. The receiver rail is set at 7.5 degrees of cant in order to better fit

the individual shooter’s ergonomic position. This allows the shooter to be more comfortable in position and

translates into a higher probability of hits.

The ergonomic composite pistol grip is David Tubb’s design, and was engineered to allow for correct fin-

ger placement on the trigger as well as to provide a platform for the shooting hand thumb to pivot when

working the bolt. The round knurled stainless steel trigger post is designed to feel comfortable at any trig-

ger position as well as being robust against side impacts.

The butt extension of the Spectacular securely plugs into the rear of the action and allows for the

adjustable cheekpiece to be properly positioned for correct eye alignment with the scope height being

used. The cheekpiece can be adjusted to accommodate virtually any reasonable scope mounting height.

The fully adjustable butt assembly allows fitting of the rifle’s stock length of pull as well as cast off or cast

on adjustments to fit its user. A properly adjusted Spectacular allows you to lie in position for a extended

length of time without having your body parts go to sleep. The Soft-Shot recoil reducer helps defray recoil

when the rifle is used without a muzzle break or in heavy recoiling calibers.

The pinch block on the bottom of the butt plate is designed to be used with a bag or sand sock. Most

Spectacular users employ a grip point rest with their left hand. This means that in lieu of using a rear mount

rest, a grip mounted rest (left hand position) is more comfortable and useable

(this sort of grip mount is not feasible on most other bolt-action rifles). This cen-

ter-gripping technique is also viewed by many as more advantageous when

shooting at a moving target. The clamping block on the butt assembly also fea-

tures a quick-release sling attachment.

With the butt extension unplugged from the back of the action, the Spectacular

allows for a degree of compactness unavailable with conventionally-stocked

rifles.

When used with the recommended 6XC cartridge and the DTAC 115 grain bullet

at 2950 fps, the combination is capable of effectively engaging small diameter tar-

gets past 1500 yards. In most altitudes the 6XC with the DTAC 115 will be super-

sonic beyond 1600 yards (compare this with a .308 shooting a 175 Sierra which

becomes subsonic around 1200 yards). The 6XC also has more kinetic energy at

distances past 1000 yards when compared to the .308 175 grain at 2650 fps.

When you combine the Spectacular with a DTAC Reticle scope and using the DTAC 6XC loaded ammo,

target engagement from 50 to 1500 yards is easily done.

The Spectacular is available directly from Superior Shooting Systems Inc. Please call for current pricing,

availability, and options. 806-323-9488.

T2K Front Sight The most advanced competition front sight on the market.

Designed by David Tubb for use on the TUBB 2000, this

sight is also fast gaining popularity with AR-type rifle com-

petitive shooters as it provides the correct elevation for even

the highest rear sight mounts.

The T2K Front Sight features robust construction, adequate

height to help improve the shooter’s head position, and

adjustable elevation to allow making impact changes for dif-

ferent yard lines with a minimum of rear sight elevation

adjustments. This allows the shooter to maintain the same

stock cheekpiece settings, which allows him to also maintain

consistency in head position.

Index marks on both sides allow right or left installation. The

T2K Front Sight comes with two bases to allow its use on dif-

ferent rifles. It has a built in spirit level and accepts 22mm

threaded sight inserts (no insert is included).

The T2K Front Sight mounting area is sized 0.750 to attach

T2K Rear Sight BaseThis precision made rear sight mounting base was engineered by David

Tubb. The T2K Rear Sight Base mounts securely onto the sight mounting

rail of a TUBB 2000 rifle, or any rifle having a picatinny rail. This all-steel

base is American-made to exacting standards and features precision

ground mounting surfaces. That means that the rear sight can be

installed and reinstalled with no change in zero. The rear sight can also

be repositioned on the firing line to suit the shooter’s preferences with-

out changing zero. This is possible only with a precision ground base.

The T2K Rear Sight Base has ample mounting holes to position the sight

over a wide range of options. Combined with the T2K

Rear Sight, you have the ultimate sighting platform for

High Power Rifle competition. Black oxide finish.

T2K Trigger Post Everyone who has tried this new concept for the Anschütz trigger has loved it. This

knurled metal accessory replaces the factory trigger post and provides improved feel

and contact, regardless of the shooter’s preference for finger position. In addition to

superior performance, it provides a more robust part.

T2K Bipod Spud and Forend WeightThe T2K Bipod/Accessory Mounting Spud is a recent addition to

the growing collection of accessories. This bolt-on part provides

a built-in means to attach a Versa-Pod or Harris bipod to your

TUBB 2000.

In addition, there is a new style

accessory weight shown in the

photo to the left that also

mounts to this spud. This

weight replaces the older

clamping weight and provides a

very secure means to increase

the overall weight of your T2K

or change its balance.

T2K Pre-Fitted BarrelsState of the art manufacturing techniques make it

possible for the TUBB 2000 owner to purchase

pre-fitted barrels for customer installation that will

perform equally as well as the barrel that came on

the rifle. The barrel-changing process is very easy

and we have all the tools you need to do it.

These fully finished and contoured barrels are

made from Schneider 5P or Rock 5R stainless steel

rifled match barrel blanks.

Chambers are cut using the best reamers and

workmanship.

Please call to discuss options and calibers.

T2K Bolt Disassembly ToolThis handy item makes disassembly and reassembly of the TUBB

2000 bolt a breeze. The tool compresses the firing pin spring so the

firing pin can be easily removed. It’s a must-have for any T2K owner.

Constructed of anodized aluminum.

T2K Muzzle Brake The T2K Muzzle Brake is an incredibly effective tool for the precision or sport shooter. This brake takes

virtually all the jump out of the rifle in recoil and is a must have for anyone firing from a bipod.

Five specially designed ports effectively contain and redirect gases from firing, putting them to work for

you instead of against you.

The T2K Muzzle Brake is adjustable in two

different ways. First, the brake can be

adjusted rotationally to eliminate any side-

ways movement of the muzzle during fir-

ing. Next, the optional lock nut (sold sepa-

rately) allows the user to move the brake in

and out on the muzzle to tune vibrational

nodes. This has been proven to enhance

accuracy. Can be custom-installed. Pre-

threaded T2K barrels are available.

T2K Barrel ViseThis simple, high quality barrel vise is perfect for

removing and reinstalling barrels on a TUBB 2000.

It is also suitable for any custom barreled rifle

where only hand tension is required.

This vise can be bolted to the workbench or even

clamped in place for portability. Fits a wide range

of barrel contours and hold securely. Steel and alu-

minum construction.

T2K Action WrenchThis is the most recent version of the

action wrench necessary to remove

and reinstall barrels on your TUBB

CS SPRINGS Superior Shooting Systems Inc. CS springs are made from the highest quality Chrome Silicon alloy. These

are the only firearms springs constructed from this superior material and held to rigid 9002 Quality Control

Standards. Along with the use of certified materials, this combination yields the highest quality, most con-

sistent, and best performing spring available.

SSS Inc. CS springs are heat treated, stress relieved, and shot peened after winding to enhance grain

structure, remove stresses, and maximize durability and stability. This guarantees extremely low tolerances

in meeting our specification criteria. A standard spring cannot successfully be treated to these processes.

To the shooter it means consistency and correctness in function — quicker lock time, less vibrations, and a

more accurate rifle.

When a conventional spring is first installed is the last time it’s doing its job as designed. Standard music

wire springs are notorious for changing characteristics. We have all heard that a spring will take a "set"

(compress to a shorter length) and then stay there for the remainder of its life. Not true! All springs con-

tinue to degrade and shorten with each cycle. The question is when and how much? Our springs use the

same Chrome Silicon alloy used in the manufacture of valve springs for Indy car engines. Those springs

can easily endure over one million compression cycles at high temperature in one afternoon — a much

harsher environment than experienced in any firearm.

CS FEATURESEXTENDED LIFE AND OPTIMUM PERFORMANCEWhen a factory Remington® 700 firing pin spring, for example, has lost one-half-inch of free length, it has

lost over 25 percent of its original power (this amount of set normally occurs in less than one year — even if

the rifle is not used). Our CS springs are duty rated for 500,000 compression cycles with a loss of no more

than one quarter inch. This means a CS spring will outlast a conventional music wire spring by 100 times.

""EEXXTTRRAA PPOOWWEERR"" AATT FFAACCTTOORRYY WWEEIIGGHHTT

Due to the superior nature of its material, our CS springs have the same power as a conventional "extra

power" spring, yet provide that extra striking energy using a lighter spring weight! This insures reliable

ignition while minimizing sear pressures and bolt lift effort, resulting in a more consistent, durable trigger

pull and smoother rifle operation.

PERFECT CONSISTENCYRigid 9002 Quality Control Standards, certified materials use, and our exclusive post-winding processing

guarantees true, correct, consistent performance.

NO FIRING PIN INTERFERENCEConventional “extra-power” springs must use larger diameter wire. This reduces clearance between the

firing pin and inside body wall of the bolt — friction is created, lock time is slowed, inconsistency develops.

Our superior CS material means smaller diameter wire, more room inside the bolt body, less chance of

binding, truer ignition consistency.

M-14, M1A™ Operating & Hammer Spring SetM1 Garand Hammer SpringThe CS Spring line extends to a set for a rifle that really needs them! Springs in these rifles take a beating,

but ours can’t get hurt. There are many “common” problems associated with M-14 type firearms, and sev-

eral are solved by our CS Operating Spring. The demands placed on this spring lead to potentially dan-

gerous feeding failures as the spring ages or heats, or both. The assurance of more positive feeding curbs

tendencies toward the extremely hazardous condition of an out of bat-

tery discharge. Plus, the extra resistance to unlocking gives firing pres-

sures a chance to subside prior to the start of action cycling. Brass con-

dition improves! Extra-heavy springs were one of the modifications

some military teams made in their “1000 yard” guns, but the CS Spring

effectively increases spring power without actually attaining a higher

rate.

Resistance to heat becomes a major factor in spring performance in

these firearms. Temperatures at the end of the operating rod have been

measured at several hundred degrees. CS Springs will tolerate in excess

of 700° F at full operational capacity. Other springs are negatively affect-

ed by temperatures as low as 175°.

The CS Hammer Spring affords the shooter the opportunity to attain a better, more consistent trigger pull

as well as speed up lock time. These are both very important assets to the Service Rifle shooter.

The CS Hammer Spring is also available separately and will fit the M1 rifle. Now competitors and enthusi-

asts can improve trigger pull and speed up lock time on their favorite Garand.

SPRING LIFEIt is standard practice by top riflemen

to replace the firing pin spring on

each rebarrel, but now that’s not

necessary. CS Springs ensure con-

sistency for the life of the firearm, not

just one barrel. All CS Springs are

direct replacement items, and you

only need to buy one!

Cocking Piece shown withSpeedLock™ Firing Pin. Allitems sold separately.

SPEEDLOCK™ WINCHESTER® MODEL 70™COCKING PIECE [fits all versions of Model 70™ rifles]

No one knows the Winchester® Model 70™ better than David Tubb. He’s won seven National High

Power Rifle Championships at Camp Perry using one.

The SpeedLock™ Model 70 Cocking Piece differs significantly from the stock part in sever-

al key areas.

Reinforced cam finger overcomes failure-prone tendencies of the

stock part.

No safety cam notch cut through the cam finger, eliminating the number-one

area for cracks and breaks. No blind top pin! We have replaced its function with a

“universal” cross pin. Not only does this make the part more reliable, but also allows its use on all Model

70™ variants: post-’64, pre-’64, Classic (short or long action included). The cocking piece is also thread-

ed all the way through for pin length adjustability and weight reduction. A big benefit to the new design is

that all variations of Model 70™ can now be fitted with SpeedLock™ Systems firing pins. This requires only

very minor modifications to the pins (easily done using hand tools) on pre-’64 and Classic models. Now

owners of any Model 70™ can benefit from this ignition enhancing system, and this rifle really needs it!

Please note that spring retaining clips are required for installation on all pre-’64 rifles. These parts must be

obtained separately and are not included with the SpeedLock™ Cocking Piece.

Gunsmithing required for installation.

SPEEDLOCKFIRING PINSSpeedLock Systems Alloy

Composite Firing Pins

Today’s custom rifles rely on techno-

logical advances to achieve superb

accuracy. Stainless steel barrels, com-

posite stocks, high-strength epoxy

bedding, and precise construction

techniques have given us rifles capa-

ble of outstanding accuracy. The goal

is always to eliminate variables so that

every bullet hits closer to the next.

SpeedLock Systems helps overcome

one of the most influential variables:

lock time. Lock time is the time

between the trigger break and primer

ignition.

The flight time of most bullets through

the barrel is 1.0-1.5 mill iseconds

(thousandths of a second) while the

lock time of most conventional bolt

action rifles varies between 2.6 and 9.0 milliseconds. On average, a SpeedLock Systems firing pin cuts

lock time approximately 31-percent. Combined with a SpeedLock CS Spring (included), lock time is

reduced another 8 percent. This is a total reduction in lock time of almost 40 percent.

The result is simple: a reduction in lock time will cause your rifle to hit closer to where you held the sight

when you pulled the trigger. Everyone’s rifle is moving when it’s fired. The amount of movement may be

almost imperceptible, but that's all it takes. If you're shooting at a trophy deer at 300 yards, movement at

the muzzle of only 0.058 inches means a missed animal. If you’re a competitive silhouette shooter, just

0.022 movement makes the difference between a hit and a miss on a 500 meter ram. When lock time is

reduced, the probability of hitting your target is increased. SpeedLock Systems helps squeeze that last

ounce of accuracy from your rifle, and accomplishes this with a minimum of time, effort, and cost (must be

installed by a competent gunsmith).

It’s been proven that primer ignition is a critical factor in accuracy and consistency. Another benefit of the

alloy firing pin is that its lighter weight coupled with a chrome silicon spring results in a higher velocity

striker. SpeedLock Systems parts deliver a higher energy impact faster and more efficiently. Our light-

weight pin also ignites the primer with less movement of mass, thereby greatly reducing the vibrations

associated with firing pin fall. These vibrations begin to cycle and oscillate the muzzle well before the bul-

let exits the barrel. A SpeedLock Systems pin reduces the level of this oscillation to the extent that the

accuracy of your rifle may actually improve. This effect is easily seen by dry firing from a benchrest using a

high powered scope. Watch the reticle movement “before” and “after” and the difference is astounding.

SpeedLock Systems firing pins are very durable. Our pins are an alloy composite construction. Materials

and construction for each pin has been carefully optimized. The primary material in our pins is an alu-

minum alloy for high tensile strength and rigidity. SpeedLock pin tips are heat treated 4140 steel.

n CWSn CS buffern springs

CWS [CARRIER WEIGHT SYSTEM]CWS™ is a simple drop-in part that greatly enhances the functionality of AR15-type firearms in extreme

shooting conditions. CWS™ fits all AR15 bolt carriers, and also those for the AR-10 and SR-25.

The addition of weight to the carrier slows

its rearward start upon action cycling. Tech-

nically, it increases the “moment of inertia,”

but that simply means that the rifle will stay

“locked” a little longer. This additional time

reduces the influence of pressures on the

cartridge case and also softens rearward

carrier movement. The result is better brass

life, fewer “pressure problems,” and greater

flexibility in velocities attainable using all bul-

lets — especially the heavier bullets used in

High Power Rifle competition.

There is also noticeably less rifle movement

during firing and longer parts life from a

softer recoil pulse. The rifle stays on target

better, effectively giving the shooter more

time to focus on shooting a higher score.

CWS™ improves rifle function, so there are

no worries about extraction or feeding fail-

ures (as a matter of fact, a well-known

tester found that a 40-grain bullet load that wouldn’t cycle in his AR15

worked flawlessly after he installed CWS™). CWS™ in no way affects the

amount of gas available to operate the rifle.

CWS™ also incorporates a flange that serves to secure it in the bolt carri-

er, but this also reduces carrier overrun past the bolt stop. Reducing the

distance the carrier must return to engage the bolt stop extends the life of

this part and further reduces the amount of rifle movement apparent to

the shooter. This is of special help to the AR-10/SR-25 owner since these

rifles are notorious for breaking bolt stops.

This little part provides a majority of what extensive (and expensive) gas

system modifications accomplish (such as relocating the gas port) but it’s

easily and “legally” installed in a Service Rifle. It even further enhances the

performance of a longer-barreled Match Rifle, whether or not gas system

modifications have been made.

CS AR15 Buffer Springs

EXTENDED LIFE AT OPTIMUM PERFORMANCEA conventional buffer spring is constructed of music wire. It will last approximately 5000 rounds before its

performance has degraded to the point that rifle function will change. We fielded many questions from

people complaining about “mystery malfunctions” when their rifles get past that 5000 round mark, and

we’ve found installation of a CS Spring cures nearly all of them, and it cures them for good. This is the last

spring you’ll ever need for your AR15! CS springs are duty rated for 500,000 compression cycles at max-

imum performance.

ENHANCED RIFLE PERFORMANCEDue to the superior nature of its material, CS springs have the same power as conventionally constructed

“extra power” springs, yet provide that extra energy using a lighter spring weight. Correct timing and resis-

tance on the recoil stroke and a controlled rebound ensures reliable feeding with consistent forward

thrust. The result is that the rifle functions flawlessly and stays on target better. With our CS Spring, the

bolt will remain locked a little longer, allowing pressures more time to subside. This means getting those

heavy bullets to needed velocities can be more readily accomplished.

UNAFFECTED BY TEMPERATUREMusic wire and carbon steel springs are adversely affected by temperatures as low as only 175° F. CS

springs perform flawlessly in excess of 700°. Performance and function will not change during rapid fire

conditions.

PERFECT CONSISTENCYRigid 9002 Quality Control Standards, certified materials use, and our exclusive post-winding processing

guarantees true, consistent performance. Conventional AR15 buffer springs are notorious for exhibiting

wide variances in installed load height, compression and rebound performance, and even length. Unless

you’re using a CS spring, not only are you replacing springs continually, but rifle performance may be con-

tinually changing with each replacement.WITH WITHOUT

n CS Flat n Wire buffern springsn CS triggern spring sets

CS Flat-Wire Buffer Springs SpringsThe next step in buffer spring technology! The Superior Shooting Systems Inc. CS Flat Wire Buffer Spring

offers significant, advanced operational enhancements for the shooter who’s serious about the perfor-

mance of his AR-style weapon.

The new CS Flat Wire retains all essential performance, consistency, and durability advantages

of chrome silicon spring material and manufacturing processes found in Superior Shooting

Systems Inc. CS round wire springs – but then surpasses them! In some way, all

improvements stem from the fact that flat wire takes up less room than round

wire – flat wire is thinner. That means there is more space for the

spring to function. A CS Flat Wire Buffer Spring is con-

siderably longer than a round wire spring yet

occupies, when fully compressed, only

a fraction of what the convention-

ally-engineered spring

will.

At in-

s t a l l e d

height (bolt in battery)

our CS Flat Wire Buffer

Spring produces about 22-percent

greater power compared to a stock AR-15

buffer spring, and 10-percent greater compared

even to our conventional round-wire CS Buffer Spring.

This means increased resistance to bolt unlocking, and that means

competitive shooters and tactical professionals get more reliable

results using heavy loads. The nature of CS allows the recoil impulse to soften,

letting the weapon’s gas system to function as intended. Spent case condition

improves, a benefit to the target shooter who handloads.

Flat wire buffer spring technology was first applied to enhance the performance of AR-

10/SR-25 rifles. Due to their extra carrier mass and often inappropriate factory spring

choice out of the box, the CS Flat Wire Buffer Spring offers the AR-10/SR-25 shooter

an amazing performance enhancement. There is a CS Flat Wire Buffer Spring specifi-

cally designed for AR-10/SR-25 firearms, and its effect is astounding. The CS Flat Wire

Buffer Spring increases the in-battery load on the bolt carrier by 10.9-percent, yet actu-

ally accomplishes this with a spring rating lower than standard buffer springs. The result

is delayed unlocking and a smoother “softer” return to battery.

CS Flat Wire operates at approximately 50-percent of solid height (fully compressed).

Since the CS Flat Wire doesn’t get close to solid height during rifle operation, there is a

more even and consistent range of bolt carrier velocities. This provides two previously

unattainable advantages compared to a conventional buffer spring design. When fired

in semi-automatic mode, the CS Flat Wire Buffer Spring will allow the operator to attain

better shot groupings! Since the bolt carrier returns to battery with a lower velocity,

there is less rifle movement and, therefore, less sight movement. Quicker follow-up

shots are possible. Not all people may be capable of fully experiencing these advan-

tages, but they are there for the skilled shooter.

CS AR15 Trigger Return and Hammer Spring SetThis addition to the CS Spring family lets a gunsmith tune an AR trigger and know it’s going to stay where

he set it. These rifles are notorious for shifting trigger characteristics and one of the main culprits is inferi-

or springs. These CS springs easily endure over 500,000 cycles of use with no changes.

HAMMER SPRINGLike other CS Springs, our AR15 Hammer Spring is actually a “light weight” component that retains

“heavy weight” punch. Lighter compression and stronger rebound means trigger pull weight may be

reduced while hammer striking force increases, and lock time decreases! This seemingly contradictory

property is due to the superior performance characteristics of Chrome Silicon versus music wire.

TRIGGER RETURN SPRINGAs is, our Trigger Return Spring is lighter in compression than a standard spring (10-percent lighter),

which means that trigger pull should improve instantly. After adjustment, the superior characteristics of CS

mean that desired pull weight can be relied on, not only today, but also next year, and the one after that.

CS AR15 “National Match” Trigger Return and Hammer Spring Set

All the features of the CS AR15 Hammer and Trigger Return spring set plus

an ingenious means toward attaining an improved first stage pull weight in

aftermarket two-stage triggers. The CS “National Match” Trigger Return

Spring provides an easy means to boost first stage weight, which makes it

possible to lower second stage break weight, and easily stay within the 4-

1/2 pound minimum for Service Rifle competition. Plus, as with all CS

Springs, you are ensured of trigger pull weight consistency. Hammer

Spring is included.

CS AR15 Magazine SpringsAfter hearing, and experiencing,

numerous magazine failures in

these rifles, we decided to produce

a better spring. The CS AR15 Mag-

azine Spring represents a signifi-

cant performance enhancement for

this all-important rifle part.

Especially troublesome are newer

production magazines, which fre-

quently exhibit inferior components.

The problem is rarely in the “box”

itself. Our CS spring represents the

ultimate in part upgrades.

The CS AR15 Magazine Spring

provides positive pre-load against

the follower. As with other CS

springs, it has enhanced mechani-

cal properties which produce faster

rebound. Consistent, constant ten-

sion is the key. Plus, there is less

drag against the side walls for freer movement. These attributes are of utmost importance to the High

Power competitor who is frequently relying on bolt stop engagement on an empty magazine and also pos-

itive feeding from “underloaded” magazines. Our CS spring is also angled correctly to locate the follower

in its optimum orientation. This design modification alone fixes a majority of feeding problems. Another

advantage of this spring is faster, more positive bolt stop engagement, saving wear on the part and also

ensuring its correct function. The lifetime performance of CS also means magazines can be left loaded

with no fear of spring-induced malfunctions — the superior chrome silicon material will last well beyond

the lifetime of any magazine. Available in singles or packs of three. These parts fit any “20-round” size

AR15 magazine box. Including those blocked to 5, 8, or 10 rounds. Instructions are included for use on

shorter magazine boxes. Springs for 30- and 40-round capacity magazines are also available.

CS SR-25 Magazine SpringsThe latest addition to the growing AR-style firearms products

from SSS Inc., our chrome silicon magazine springs for the SR-

25 are radically superior to standard equipment.

Our CS Springs not only encompass all the features of our AR15

mag springs but also feature a special bend to improve the fol-

lower angle for more positive, reliable feeding.

These springs fit the following – SR-25, AR-10, DPMS .308 LR,

TUBB 2000, and M1A/M14 (spring must be inverted for use).

These springs are “20-round” length but may be used in 5- and

10-round magazines after trimming.

CS AR15 Extractor and Ejector Spring Set These CS Springs are made from the highest quality Chrome Silicon alloy. Ours are the only firearms springs

constructed from this superior material and held to rigid industry 9002 Quality Control Standards. Along

with the use of certified materials, this combination yields the highest quality, most consistent, and best

performing springs available. This set

contains an ejector spring and extractor

spring. Engineered expressly to cure

extraction problems, our CS extractor

spring provides approximately 80-per-

cent greater power than the stock

spring. Do not use this extractor spring

with any of the available “D-ring” inserts!

They will not work together, and no such

gimmicks are needed. The ejector spring

is also more efficient than stock and

resists breakdown and failure for the life

of the rifle. All these springs are unaffected by heat up to 750°F and should provide a lifetime of correct,

efficient service for the most demanding applications.

AR/T2K Target Composite Pistol GripThe Tubb AR/T2K Composite Pistol Grip is correctly sized and contoured to provide optimum hand and

arm positioning, and trigger control, from any shooting position, or any shooter’s holding preference. It has

a progressive contour that feels equally good with “high” or “low” hand positioning.

If you extend your arm and allow the hand and wrist to sit naturally, you’ll see that the hand is not posi-

tioned vertically. It will be turned somewhat palm down. When the hand is allowed to attain this position on

the rifle it is in a much more natural position for improved bolt manipulation and trigger control. This grip

accounts for this natural hand positioning by providing more material in the criti-

cally important areas. Since it’s solid through and through, this grip can be

easily reshaped to fit any shooter’s hand or preferences. There is plenty of

material on the grip itself to eliminate the need for the epoxy putty many

resort to in efforts to improve fit. The ergonomic

thumb shelf is designed to assist in attain-

ing a better, more powerful hand hold

but does not force a set position as

other pistol grips do. Allowing the

thumb to extend against this area

of the pistol grip greatly improves

trigger control since it allows the

trigger finger to work more inde-

pendently and, therefore, more

precisely.

n SightLinen Extensionn Tube

n Heart-n Brakern Competitionn Sling

SightLine™ Extension TubeThe perfect solution to a big problem. Increasing the “sight radius” of a target rifle allows the shooter to

more easily, accurately, and comfortably see the front sight. And seeing the front sight is the key to shoot-

ing good groups. Putting the front sight farther forward is the most simple and effective means to improve

the shooter’s ability to attain, and retain, an X-ring sight picture. Unlike lenses and other compensations, a

sight extension tube is a “natural” enhancement that exhibits far fewer drawbacks.

That’s all the good. The bad is that aluminum extension tubes produced by others have too many parts —barrel clamp, tube clamp, tube. Even if perfectly machined, these multiple-link attaching arrangements

make it all but impossible to mount, or re-mount, a conventional tube with concentric orientation to the

bore. There’s also the stress on the barrel from clamping.

The SightLine tube is one piece. It is also stainless steel so its behavior is more similar to those of the bar-

rel itself. It is glued in position so there’s no additional stress to the barrel. The result is no accuracy penal-

ty and perfect mounting consistency and alignment. The tube may be

removed (with heat) for installation on

another barrel.

The SightLine tube is 7 inches long (adds approximately 5-3/4

inches sight-to-sight distance) and fits the standard 0.750 diameter turned section on

most target rifles. It works best when there is at least one inch of mounting surface on the rifle barrel. The

SightLine itself is turned to 0.749 at its front to accept common size barrel band sight mounts. Mounting the

sight on this stress-free tube also relieves muzzle constriction, which may enhance accuracy. The tube may

be shortened one inch if desired. It is possible to install a T2K Front Sight and T2K Cant Indicator together

on the SightLine tube.

Heart-Braker Competition SlingThis sling embodies all the features David Tubb wanted in this often neglected essential. The special joint

built into the Heart-Braker gave it its name. This provides a “no-pulse” design that virtually eliminates any

and all pulse or heartbeat transmittal through the sling to the rifle. The result is a very stable and vastly

improved hold. You’ll never shoot without this after you try it.

The Heart-Braker sling features a “semi-cuff” design with a full 2-inch wide arm band (ISU is 1.6 inches)

for extra comfort and stability. It seems that everyone wanted a sling that’s a little narrower than a cuff and

a little wider than a straight cut, so here it is! The sling width tapers down to increase comfort and stabili-

ty against the forearm and hand and direct the tension where it does the most good for the hold. It stops

the “cutting in” feeling on the hand and forearm other slings are guilty of. The combination of maximum

support around the upper arm and more comfort against the hand and lower arm can only be attained

with this design. Natural leather surface goes against the arm to increase comfort and prevent slippage.

This sling doesn’t work against itself! The

cuff stays flat against the arm. It’s easy to

get on, easy to adjust, and stays put.

There are ample adjustments for any

shooter’s preferences. Fits Anschütz®

and other swivels. Made of premium

cowhide and first quality American-made

hardware. The sling is 54 inches long

and has adjustment holes through its full

length.

David Tubb AdjustableButtplateThere are others, but this is the best. It’s precision

machined, easy to adjust, and has the adjustments in

the correct locations! That means it’s accessible by

the shooter from the mat, not the workbench — using

one wrench. The unit is adjustable for length, buttpad

height, cant, and offset. It has more adjustment range

than its competitors and a more appropriate buttpad

for use with a shooting coat. It’s also index marked for

consistent repositioning from event to event. The off-

set adjustment sets it apart from other available plates.

This feature allows the shooter to tune the cast on/off

to move the rifle centerline nearer or farther from the

shooter, which is a tremendous aid to attaining the

proper head positioning.

Fits most competition-style target stocks (mounting

plate may be easily contoured after installation for a

perfect fit). Adjustment range: length, 3 inches;

height, 3 inches; cant, 360°. Weight, 2.0 pounds.

SpeedLock™ Tubb Extractor KitSuperior Shooting Systems Inc.™ offers a precision made Tubb Extractor Kit for installation into modified

Remington® bolt action rifles. These kits feature the highest quality “Sako-style” extractor on the market

and are available to fit a wide variety of bolt face diameters and cartridge applications, including specialty

cartridges. The parts are carefully engineered and machined using correct materials to ensure consisten-

cy, performance, and durability.

Tubb Extractors are used to replace the Remington® factory riveted extractors as well as the newer rivet-

less design. These extractors offer not only a way to repair rifles with faulty extractors but also a way to

greatly improve extraction function over the stock part. We believe that any Remington® intended for seri-

ous use should be fitted with one of these extractors. Whether a rifle is intended for competitive shooting

or dangerous game hunting, extraction failures can be catastrophic! Installation of these parts is consid-

ered mandatory by most custom gunsmiths when building a Remington® bolt action rifle.

Five different models are available and all include plunger, spring, and detailed instructions for gunsmith

installation.

Tubb Remington 700 Custom Recoil LugSurface ground, extra thick recoil lugs greatly

improve bedding quality, and rifle accuracy. An

essential part of any custom Remington® 700 rifle.

Available in black oxide or stainless steel.

These lugs will also fit the Remington® 788 and

Browning® A-Bolt™.

Not a “drop-in” part! This lug must be installed in

conjunction with a proper epoxy bedding job to

function as intended.

David Tubb High Power Shooting Hat

The two outstanding features of this hat are the fully

position-adjustable flaps and the adjustable neck flap

for sun protection. The brim flaps are infinitely

adjustable to let you position either flap at any partial-

ly open or closed position. That means shade for the

eyes but not a restricted view. Being able to watch

conditions or wind flag position is paramount to good

performance, and the older your eyes the more

advantage you gain from being in the shade but not

having your side view blocked. Available in blue,

black, tan, or green.

David Tubb High Power Knee PadsA superior alternative to shooting pants, these High Power Rifle Knee Pads fasten securely and easily to

provide a stable platform to rest the elbows during the sitting position.

Compared to shooting pants, our pads are much lighter in weight, much cooler, and can even be worn with

shorts in hot weather.

Easy on and off using velcro straps. Contoured to fit the knee and provide gripping

surface in exactly the right areas. Color coded for right and left knees.

Heavy duty construction of suede leather for comfort next to the knees and

non-slip rubber gripping surfaces, nylon straps, steel buckles.

T2K Cant IndicatorThe T2K Cant Indicator (muz-

zle-mounted bubble level) is an

indispensible asset to the com-

petitive or long range shooter.

Unnoticed cant will affect bullet

impacts, and the farther the

bullet travels, the farther the

bullet will stray from its intended

target area.

This indicator is easily installed

on a T2K or SightLine Extension

Tube, or any barrel having a

0.750 parallel section at the

muzzle. This easy-to-see indicator allows the operator to level the rifle each time before firing. Its location

makes it easily possible to see with the left eye while the right is looking through the scope. This makes it

far superior to any of the scope-mounted levels which require the shooter to readjust focus with his shoot-

ing eye. The T2K Cant Indicator is fully adjustable to suit any orientation the shooter desires. It is easily

reversible for the left-handed shooter if desired. The cant indicator is made in such a way as not to glare

or give away the shooter’s location. The T2K Cant Indicator is adaptable to virtually any rifle.

Tubb Tactical VestThe Tubb Tactical vest made by Creedmoor Sports for Superior Shooting Systems Inc. is a revolution in

professional riflery. The Tactical Vest employs a unique harness arrangement that allows use of an integral

rifle sling for support in any and all shooting positions. It’s a simple set up that replicates sling use in the

competitive arena for someone who is deploying a rifle in a field situation.

Once the harness is adjusted for prone use, I have found that I can keep the same setting for other shoot-

ing positions simply by varying the point from which the rifle sling portion of the harness that is connected

to the rifle crosses my shoulder. The web sling connects to the bipod so that by moving the support hand

fore and aft on the forend the proper tension and rifle elevation can be established. After a little use, I think

you’ll be surprised at how well you adapt to it. I have run this set up head to head against bipod users and

there was no contest in the outcome: I was able to engage and hit my targets much more efficiently and

quickly. Of course, when used in conjunction with a bipod the harness allows for an extremely stable plat-

form. The beauty of this harness is that it is patently as effective as a sling as used in competitive shooting,

TubbTacticalVest

but, unlike those for competition use, this harness arrangement doesn’t involve the shooter’s left arm. The

tension from the connecting strap emanates from its pull upward from against the lower body. There is a

good deal of aiming flexibility and shooter comfort is considerably improved over a standard sling. The

Tubb Tactical Vest is adaptable for use in positions other than prone, something a bipod cannot do. With-

out a supporting aid like this harness, the tactical shooter is at a distinct disadvantage when he is forced

to shoot from any position that doesn’t allow him to use his bipod. With the harness in use, and a little

practice, it’s easily possible to fire prone-quality shots from a sitting, kneeling, or even offhand position

(especially if the shooter has access to a barricade or anything he can lean against). As with competition-

style prone shooting, I find that I can shoot better shots much more quickly when I hold onto the rifle with

my left hand. I grasp the T2K at its forward receiver area, and am exerting a fair amount of pressure. This

greatly enhances control over the rifle in recoil and reacquiring the sight for follow up shots.

The Tubb Tactical Vest is available in long or short sleeve configurations and a choice of multiple colors. Its

shell is a heavy weight Cordura nylon and it’s fully lined with canvas (and also padded like a competition

coat). It has ventilation under the arms and is quite comfortable to wear even on a hot day. Leather is also

available.

We added convenient magazine pouches that are large enough to accommodate .308-sized magazines. It

is constructed with the same materials and quality as found in Creedmoor Sports top of the line competi-

tion shooting coats (the same ones worn by David Tubb).

The Tactical Vest attaches to the shooter’s belt via nylon straps and doubles as an outstanding transporta-

tion vehicle. The rifle may be quite easily and comfortably carried — in complete security — using the Tac-

tical Vest, yet deployment is extremely quick.

We believe that if you will try this piece of gear just once you’ll find it to be one of those things you’ll never

let go of.

Available for right or left handed shooters.

Highpower RifleDavid is the winningest NRA Highpower Rifle shooter in history, and his book, Highpower Rifle, offers a

rare insight into the inner workings of a self-made champion.

While the book is designed so that even

non-competitive shooters can work their

way from the ground up, even the most

accomplished competitor cannot “out-

grow” this book. The subject matter is

taken to extreme depth and detail. As such,

anyone interested in shooting a rifle better

will benefit. For instance, any varmint or

benchrest shooter will learn a wealth of

information on shooting in the wind; any

hunter will be well advised to learn what

David has to say about rifle fitting and

shooting technique.

Sections cover all shooting positions sepa-

rately (offhand, sitting, prone), equipment,

fundamentals of rifle shooting, learning to

shoot in the wind, mental preparation, train-

ing techniques, tournament strategy, and

special sections on 1000-yard and Service

Rifle shooting, and also zeros, ammunition,
