LE LOCATION
SUPERSTUDIO 13 Nasce in via Forcella 13 nel 1983, pioniere di zona Tortona, Superstudio 13, il grande hub con 13 studi fotografici e servizi per la moda e l’immagine quali laboratori, agenzie di modeling e free lance, scuole per la fotografia, il modeling, il giornalismo di moda, studi di produzione e post produzione ecc. Una realtà che fin dall’inizio comincia ad attrarre attorno a sé, in zona, gli show-room della dei grandi della moda come Esprit, Kenzo, Balenciaga, Armani e molti altri.
SUPERSTUDIO PIÙNel 2000 apre in via Tortona 27 Superstudio Più, che rivitalizza la seconda parte di via Tortona con la creazione di un grande centro polivalente negli spazi della ex-General Electric. In breve Superstudio Più diventa un esempio e una icona della citta, ospitando eventi culturali e commerciali di qualità che indicano tendenze e innovazioni spaziando da moda a design, da tecnologia a mobilità, da comunicazione a tutte le espressioni delle arti contenporanee. LE ATTIVITÀ
IL DESIgNGrazie all’intuizione di Superstudio che nel 2000 ha aperto le sue sale ad architetti designer e aziende d’arredo durante il Salone del Mobile di aprile, è nata in contemporanea la Tortona Design Week, e in seguito il design diffuso in tutta la città. Superstudio Group produce il SuperDesign Show, 17.000 mq con presentazioni e installazioni di grande impatto e il meglio del panorama internazionale.
L’ARTE CONTEMPORANEATre gallerie di varie dimensioni al Superstudio Più: art.box, vetrina su strada per piccole installazioni, MyOwnGallery, sofisticata concept-gallery per mostre selezionate di arte e design, UnderGallery, archivio-galleria dell’artista residente Flavio Lucchini. Molte le manifestazioni e le fiere direttamente organizzate o ospitate tra cui AAf Affordable Art
fair, il salone dell’arte accessibile. L’Art Point,1000 mq, affacciato sulla Piazza dell’Arte e l’Art Garden, è lo spazio ideale per grandi mostre d’arte contemporanea con impatto museale.
LA MODA E WHITELa moda è nel suo dna ed ha un posto speciale e insostituibile al Superstudio. Superstudio Group, with its great centres dedicated to photography and events, Superstudio 13 and Superstudio Più, both located in the heart of Tortona District, has been operating for over 30 years with own productions, spaces and services in the fields of image, fashion, design, contemporary arts, communication, creativity and innovation. Its locations are icon spaces that have opened a road to similar initiatives of temporary spaces making Milan the city of events. Its founders, Flavio Lucchini and Gisella Borioli, are well-known fashion journalists, editors and creatives who have contributed to the growth of culture of the city, today supported by a young team. Sculptures and art work by Flavio Lucchini, resident artist, characterize the indoor and outdoor spaces of the locations. Among the numerous awards to both, we point out the Ambrogino D’Oro 2014 assigned by Milan City Council to Gisella Borioli for the activity and influence of Superstudio that identified and anticipated the new necessities of the city.
THE LOCATION
SUPERSTUDIO 13 Born in Via Forcella 13 in 1983, pioneer of Tortona district, Superstudio 13, the large hub with 13 photographic studios and services for fashion and image such as laboratories, schools of photography, modelling, fashion journalism, production and post production studios etc. Since the beginning it has been attracting, in the area, showrooms of the greatest fashion brands like Esprit, Kenzo, Balenciaga, Armani and many more.
SUPERSTUDIO PIÙIn 2000 Superstudio Più opens in via Tortona 27, thus renewing the second part of via Tortona with the creation of a large multi-purpose centre in the former General Electric spaces. Superstudio Più becomes an example and an icon of the city, hosting top quality cultural and commercial events that point out trends and innovations ranging from fashion to design, from technology to mobility, from communication to all its expressions of contemporary arts. Its activity drives the arrival of Armani’s Silos, Mudec Culture Mus eum, Base space, the Milanese headquarter Diesel, DSquared, Twin-Set, Gas, Zegna, Fendi, Moncler, Allegri, Bikkembergs, Tod’s, Margiela and more International brands and contributes to the growth of events in the district, followed by many temporary locations.
MYOWNGALLERY In via Tortona 27 bis, right next to the entrance of Superstudio Più is myowngallery, a sophisticated art gallery dedicated to the contamination of contemporary creative languages and to innovative exhibitions and shows. Facing the street is the “window-gallery” art-box for artistic installations.
THE ACTIVITIES
THE DESIGNThanks to the intuition of Superstudio that in 2000 opened its spaces to designers, architects and furniture companies during the “Salone del Mobile” in April, Tortona Design Week was born and, later on, design spread out all over the city. Superstudio Group creates Superdesign Show, 17.000 sq.mt. with presentations and high impact installations and the best of the International scenario.
THE CONTEMPORARY ARTSThree galleries of various sizes at Superstudio Più: art.box, window gallery overlooking the street for small installations, MyOwnGallery, sophisticated concept-gallery for selected art and design exhibitions, UnderGallery, archive-gallery of the resident artist Flavio Lucchini. Many are the events and fairs directly organised or hosted such as AAf Affordable Art fair. The Art Point, 1000 sq.mt. overlooking the
Art Square and the Art Garden, the perfect space for large museum-like contemporary art exhibitions.
THE FASHION AND WHITE SHOWFashion is in its roots and has a special and unique place at Superstudio. During the Fashion Week White Show, the most important contemporary fashion Fair, with over 500 exhibitors, has the main exhibition at Superstudio Più, plus other presences in other locations of via Tortona. At the same time, Superstudio 13 hosts Tomorrow, avant-garde fashion and accessories. In addition, fashion shows, showrooms, presentations, selling campaigns are hosted throughout all the year. Moreover, Superstudio 13 is always active, with its 13 photographic studios, for editorial and advertising shootings with the greatest fashion photographers, celebrities and top models, the most prestigious publishing companies, the most famous brands.
THE EVENTS Superstudio Più offers diversified spaces up to about 10.000 exhibiting sq.mt., is selected by the most important international companies that time after time make it the venue of unforgettable events, conventions, car clinics, parties, gala dinners, road shows, conferences, exhibitions and private parties in a dedicated space in the BASEMENT of Superstudio Più.
THE PASSION DAYS: FESTIVALS AND MEETINGSFestivals and events addressed to a selected audience offer, during many weekends, enthralling subjects for all the passionated. To name a few, Yoga festival Milano, the greatest and most important event of its kind in Italy, Olis festival, everything for wellness and well-being, Glamour Beauty Show, dedicated to beauty, cake Design festival, dedicated to the art of decoration in bakery, che Pizza!, unexpected overview on the main dish of the Italian cuisine, and many more.
THE RESTAURANTSDada café, at Superstudio Più, in via Tortona 27, open for breakfast and lunch and during events, with “a la carte” service and buffet. Superstudio cafè, at Superstudio 13 in via Forcella 13, designed by the architect Michele De Lucchi, open for breakfast and lunch and some Sundays for theme brunch.
THE GUEST HOUSESSuperstudio hospitality, Superstudio Group’s latest initiative meant to give the possibility of brief stays in Milan, in new apartments with all its comforts, furnished with art and design elements and with the continuous assistance by Superstudio’s team.
SHOWROOMS AND OFFICESThe top floors of Superstudio Più and Superstudio 13, host fashion showrooms and offices dedicated to creative, publishing, e-commerce and web activities, with permanent or temporary contracts.
THE CREATIVITY AND THE COMMUNICATIONEvery creative and innovative event or theme find its space at Superstudio Più and Superstudio 13 and can avail itself of advice by the internal creative team and of the support of the communication office.
