SCMC’s (Material and Distribution Department or “MD2”) “Backorder

Requirements Available” view.

This provides a view to the Material Managers in MD2 of active

requisitions held by LOGCOM with serviceable assets available for issue to

fulfill the customer’s order.

“Drill down” information about a specific NSN’s “Current Backorder”

quantity posture (19 items backordered, not 19

requisitions backordered).

Page 7: Supply Chain Management DSC

Displays the “onhand serviceable assets” for a specific NSN in Stock Control System (TASSET), with a “drill down” capability to view WHERE the assets

are located (stock positioning). In this case, Defense Distribution Depot Albany GA (Remote Storage Activity: SDA) has 4 serviceable assets onhand ready for issue, and Defense Distribution Depot Barstow CA (Remote Storage Activity:

SG2) has 6 serviceable assets onhand ready for issue. Material Managers must take action to issue Material Release Orders (MRO) to the appropriate Remote Storage Activity for these outstanding requisitions. Current DoD Time Definite Delivery standards require us to process requisitions in one day where material

is available for issue to fulfill the requirement (whole and/or partial).
