Contact Directory

To add a contact:1. Press the Dir soft key when the phone is idle, and then select All Contacts.

2. Press the Add soft key to add a contact.

3. Enter a unique contact name in the Name field, and enter the phone number in the proper field.

4. Press the Add soft key to accept the change.

To edit a contact:1. Press the Dir soft key when the phone is idle, and then select All Contacts.

2. Press or to select the desired entry, press the Option soft key and then select Detail.

3. Edit the contact information.

4. Press the Save soft key to accept the change.

To delete a contact:1. Press the Dir soft key when the phone is idle, and then select All Contacts.

2. Press or to select the desired entry, press the Option soft key and then select Delete.

3. Press the OK soft key when the LCD screen prompts “Delete selected item?”.

You can easily add contacts from your call history. For more information, refer to Call History above

Note:

To delete a contact:

Press during a call to adjust the receiver volume of thehandset/speakerphone/headset.

Press when the phone is idle or ringing to adjust the ringer volume.

Ring Tones

1. Press the Menu soft key when the phone is idle, and then select Settings-> Basic Settings->Sound-> Ring Tones.

2. Press or to select Common or the desired account and then press the Enter soft key.

4. Press the Save soft key to accept the change.

You have two options for network and power connections. Your systemadministrator will advise you which one to use.

The hookswitch tab has a lip which allows the handset to stay on-hook when the IP phone is mounted vertically.

Call History

1. Press the History soft key when the phone is idle, press or to scroll through the list.

Select Detail to view detailed information about the entry.

2. Select an entry from the list, you can do the following: • Press the Send soft key to call the entry. • Press the Delete soft key to delete the entry from the list.

Customising Your Phone

If you press the Option soft key, you can also do the following:

Select Add to Contact to add the entry to the local directory.

Select Add to Blacklist to add the entry to the blacklist.

Select Delete All to delete all entries from the list.

You can split the conference call into two individual calls by pressing the Split soft key.

Note:

Message waiting indicator on the idle screen indicates that one or more voicemessages are waiting at the message centre. The power indicator LED slowly flashesred and the MESSAGE key LED lights up.

Voice Message

To listen to voice messages:1. Press or the Connect soft key.

2. Follow the voice prompts to listen to your voice messages.

The IP phone should be used with an original Yealink power adapter (5V/600mA) only. The use of a third-party power adapter may cause damage to the phone. If you are connecting a PC to your phone, we recommend that you use the Ethernet cable provided by Yealink. If inline power (PoE) is provided via a PoE-compliant switch, you do not need to connect the power adapter.

Note:

• To access calling features, press the “codes” soft key to enter a code.

• After entering the calling feature code (e.g. *64#), press OK soft key or button to initiate the action.

• Successful activation/deactivation of server-based calling features will play/sound a confirmation tone on the handset.

Server-based calling features:

Call Forward

Call Forward to Voice Mail (always):1. To activate, press Codes key when handset is idle, dial *64# and press OK soft key or button

2. To de-activate, press Codes key when handset is idle, dial #64# and press OK soft key or button.

Call Forward to Voice Mail (when busy/on call/engaged):1. To activate, press Codes key when handset is idle, dial *65# and press OK soft key or button

2. To de-activate, press Codes key when handset is idle, dial #65# and press OK soft key or button.

Call Forward to Another Number (always):1. To activate, press Codes key when handset is idle, dial *21# and press OK soft key or button

2. To de-activate, press Codes key when handset is idle, dial #21# and press OK soft key or button.

The IP phone supports either or both IPv4 and IPv6 address modes, but IPv6 is disabled by default.Incorrect network settings may result in inaccessibility of your IP phone and may have an impact on the network performance. For more information on these parameters, please consult the user manual.

Note:

DHCP: By default, the phone attempts to contact a DHCP server in your network to obtain its valid network settings, e.g., IP address, subnet mask, gateway address and DNS address. (This option is for most users.)

Static IP Address: If your phone cannot contact a DHCP server for any reason, you need to configure the IP address, subnet mask, gateway address, primary DNS address and secondary DNS address for the phone manually. (This option is for advanced users).

To configure the network parameters for the phone manually:1. Press the Menu key to enter the main menu, and then select Settings->

Advance Settings->Network (default password: admin)->WAN Port.

3. Press to select the corresponding IP address mode.

2. Select the desired IP address mode from the IP Mode field.

4. Make the desired changes.

5. Press the Save soft key to accept the change.

Network Settings

You can configure the network settings in the following ways:

Call Forward to Another Number (when busy/on call/engaged):1. To activate, press Codes key when handset is idle, dial *58# and press OK soft key or button

2. To de-activate, press Codes key when handset is idle, dial #58# and press OK soft key or button.

1. Press the Conf soft key during an active call. The call is placed on hold.

Call Conference

2. Enter the number of the second party, and then press the Send soft key.

3. Press the Conf soft key again when the second party answers. All parties are now joined in the conference.

4. Press the EndCall soft key to disconnect all parties.

Provision � IP Voice Service

2. Enter Telephone Number

• The telephone number is requested.• Enter the 10 digit telephone number supplied by � and press OK to continue.• The telephone number is validated and requested again if invalid.• Press OK to continue

3. Enter OTP (One-Time-Pin)

• The OTP (One-Time-Pin) is requested.• Enter the OTP (One-Time-Pin) supplied by � and press OK to continue.• The OTP (One-Time-Pin) is validated and requested again if invalid.• Press OK to continue.

Call Mute and Un-mute

Press to mute the microphone during a call.

Press again to un-mute the call.

Call Hold and Resume

To place a call on hold:

To resume a call, do one of the following:If there is only one call on hold, press the Resume soft key.

Press the Hold soft key during an active call.

Advanced Call Features

If there is more than one call on hold, press or to select the desired call,and then press the Resume soft key.

Blind Transfer

Call Transfer

You can transfer a call in the following ways:

1. Press or the Trans soft key during a call. The call is placed on hold.

3. Press or the Trans soft key.

2. Enter the number you want to transfer to.

Semi-Attended Transfer

Attended Transfer

1. Press or the Trans soft key during a call. The call is placed on hold.

2. Enter the number you want to transfer to, and then press the Send soft key.

3. Press or the Trans soft key when you hear the ring-back tone.

The � IP Voice service is automatically provisioned to your phone using a centralised provisioning server when the telephone number and One-Time-Pin (OTP) is entered as described below. It is therefore not necessary for you to access the phone’s interface. Before you continue with the below steps please ensure that you have obtained your telephone number and One-Time-Pin (OTP) from the � IP Voice service portal. For more information on this process, please visitwww.telkom.co.za or contact � on 10210 for residential and 10217 for business queries.

Using the optional headset:1. With the headset connected, press to activate the headset mode.

2. Enter the desired number, and then press the Send soft key.

Using the handset:Pick up the handset.

Answering a call

Using the speakerphone:Press

Using the headset:Press

During a call, you can alternate between the headset, hands-free speakerphone and handset modes by pressing the HEADSET key, the Speakerphone key or by picking up the handset. Headset mode requires a headset connected.

Note:

You can reject an incoming call by pressing the Reject soft key.Note:

5. Service Activated

• After a short while the phone will display “Initializing… please wait”.• Your VoIP service will be activated once the phone has rebooted.

4. Reboot and Complete Setup

• The phone will display “Service Successfully Activated. Press OK to reboot.”• Press OK to reboot and complete the setup.

• The provisioning process disables the phone’s administration account. If you require access to the phone’s management interface, please contact � support.• If the activation was unsuccessful, check your network settings and move back to step 1, Provision � IP Voice Service, and try again.• If the problem persists, contact device support if any error appears during the provisioning process.

Basic Call Features

To place a call directly:1. Pick up the handset.

2. Enter the desired number, and then press the Send soft key.

To place a call from the local directory:1. Press Dir soft key when the phone is on-hook, then select All Contacts.

If multiple numbers for the contact are stored, press or to highlight thedesired number, and then press Send again to dial out.

2. Press or to highlight the desired entry, and then press Send to dial out.

Using the speakerphone:1. With the handset on-hook, press .

2. Enter the desired number, and then press the Send soft key.

Making a callUsing the handset:Hang up the handset or press the EndCall soft key.

Ending a Call

Using the speakerphone:Press or press the EndCall soft key.

Using the headset:Press the EndCall soft key.

Redial

Press twice when the phone is idle to dial out the last dialled number.

Press to enter the Placed Calls list, press or to select the desired entry,and then press or the Send soft key.
