With your help we can do even more for
the children and youngsters in the town-
ships of Port Elizabeth, in order to give
them a better future. Your help is im-
portant! Donations in cash or in kind are
very much appreciated. You can also be-

Ready4Life provides remedial teaching
to prevent this, as well as organising
events for youngsters
who have to make
subject or study
choices.
Drowning is a big problem in South Afri-
ca. In our Swim-safe pro-
ject we teach children
how to survive in water.
Swimming lessons are
given during school
hours in co-operation
with Aquatics South Africa
Better chances in the job market
More than 63% of the township young-
sters are jobless. This is often because of
a lack of education.
Ready4Life offers the-
se youngsters job rea-
diness training, a
computer course and
hands-on skills workshops.
Digital classrooms
In South Africa there is a huge difference
between rich private schools and poor
township schools. Particularly regarding
the access to modern teaching aids.
Ready4Life is setting up a school net-
work with educational pro-
grams for township
schools. We also do com-
puter maintenance for
these schools. This pro-
gram also provides IT job
experience for jobless
youngsters.
The Ready4Life Foundation wants
to give children and youngsters in the
townships of Port Elisabeth a better fu-
ture. In cooperation with township
schools we set up projects in the field of
education, job readiness and computer
usage.
Ready4Life’s team consists of local staff,
(inter)national volunteers and interns.

Remedial teaching and SwimSafe
Children have the right to get a good ed-
ucation in a secure and stimulating envi-
ronment. But in South
Africa many children
become drop-outs and
start roaming the
streets.
