BUS STOP ADVERT
+
I started with a picture of Big Ben for my bus stop advert. I cut footprints out of website logos using the cookie cutter tool. This gave me a number of different layers to put onto the picture of Big Ben.
+
I dragged one of the footprint layers onto the picture of Big Ben.
+
I then resized the footprint once I had placed it onto the Big Ben picture.
+
I then turned the footprint slightly on the layer and repeated these steps with the other footprint layers to make it look like the footprints were walking.
+
After repeating this process several times, I selected all of the layers and then changed the gradient of all of the pictures, changing the angle of the gradient with the ‘gradient fill’ box.
+
I chose the appropriate gradient colour which was black to white. I then changed the ‘smoothness’ of the gradient changing how much I wanted to be darker and how much I wanted to be lighter. Once this was finished, I added text and the piece was finished.

MAGAZINE ADVERT
+
To get the font for the title of my newspaper, I used dafont.com. As my Mac would not download the font, I took a screen shot of the font.
+
I then placed this picture onto the top of the newspaper article I had started to make. To make this, I simply used publisher and wrote a news story splitting the different sections using a line tool. I then inserted an emblem from Google.
+
I printed this newspaper out and wrapped it around a real newspaper so that it looked more realistic. I then edited the lighting effects of the photo in Adobe by going to render in the filter menu.
+
I then tried the ‘Omni’ lighting effect as this would bring focus and attention to the main question in the article.
+
I then dragged the circle of where this lighting effect will go using the picture to the left hand side. I adjusted the negative and positive lighting of the photograph in order to make all of the detail in the paper clear.
+
BILLBOARD ADVERT
+
To make the billboard advert, I took a screen shot of the Google home page.
+
I opened this screen shot in Adobe Photoshop and started to take out everything that had the word ‘Google’ in it using the ‘rubber’ tool. I also took out the blue links below the search bar to replace them with my own. I replaced the ‘Google’ poster with the ‘Government’ writing that I had already made on word.
+
Once I had finished this, I put the picture full screen onto and took a picture of it. After this was done, I put the picture into Adobe Photoshop and again went to lighting effects under ‘render’ in the’ filter’ menu.
+
As the’Omni’ lighting effect had proved effective in my magazine advert I used it again.
+
Again, I moved the circle on the picture on the right to where I wanted the main focus of the documentary question to be. I then changed the negative and positive lighting of the picture to make it clear. Once I had done this, I put the picture onto a black background, adding the details of when and where to see the documentary in larger text by the side to make it stand out more.
