Developing global marketing activities through listening to customers

Nikon closely listens to customers all over the world, so we can understand precisely what they want from us. Thus we establish good relationships with customers and create customer-oriented products, services and solutions.For example, in the Healthcare Business, we have opened Nikon Imaging Centers (NIC), which are state-of-the-art imaging facilities established as a partnership between key research institutes at nine locations around the world. NIC provide the latest microscopes such as laser microscopes to researchers in diverse fields. In order to impart deeper knowledge of microscopes, exclusive staff members arrange training programs including imaging technique seminars for beginners up to advanced users. Through these activities to deepen relationships with researchers,

NIC receive feedback from the forefront of research. We employ our global marketing activities to improve existing products and develop new products, while also achieving higher value for customers.

One of the functions realized by feedback received at NIC is an “assist guide” employed for inverted research microscope ECLIPSE Ti2. It integrates data from built-in sensors to guide you through operations step by step, and automatically detects setting errors simultaneously. This eliminates user mistakes and enables researchers to fully concentrate on their data.
