"PLANTATION By the Guests"

There is a close relationship between trees and humans. Feeling this so Mr N.M. Mathur,

the CMD of RRVUN and Mr M.L. Goel , RD DAV schools planted saplings . They also

motivated to take initiative to plant more and more trees and keep our surrounding green.

Face to face . . . Interview with Honorable CMD Shree N. M. Mathur, RRVUNL

Venue: Erector Hostel, 19 February 2015, Thursday, 12:45 pm. Interviewers: Deep Rawat (class x) Dewang Saraswat (class x) Suruchi Sharma (class x), Mansi Yadav (class x).

Journey of STDAV Public School continues, with undertaking new challenges, new solutions, new heights and accomplishments. All its endeavors are nourished and guided with the influx of energy and zeal from the patrons, one of such personality is Sh. N.M Mathur (CMD RRVUNL ).we are fortunate to have his awe-inspiring aura in the township which gave us a chance to share his thoughts & feelings as a part of this interview with him. Sir, we are highly thankful for your inspiring message conveyed on Annual Day of the school, it reflects your belief in lofty and high ideal of character building. Today, to be face to face with you is like a dream come true, we extend our “Ravishing Good Afternoon. Interviewer - Today the changes in student’s behavior, lifestyle and attitude are quite alarming. What are your views in this regard? Sh. N. M. Mathur - Younger Generation is always better and more intelligent than older generation. Opportunities were not there in older time like today; computer internet etc. students have a broader outlook today. Marking system is lenient today. Securing 60% marks at our time was hard. I cleared 10

th board

with 83%. The highest was 84%. It was a commendable performance for students to get above 90%. But students today are easily securing marks above 90%. Students today are brilliant. Earlier there were limited branch in courses like medical and non-medical but today it is not limited to medical and non medical. Nowadays children are performing good and taking good packages in commerce and arts. Securing good marks is easy but finding jobs is difficult. Lenient marking should be reduced. Examination should be improved. Marks should be given according to competence of the child. Now facilities are provided well like practical way of teaching, good labs etc. Its time of MCQs now. A new generation of broader outlook has come. Interviewer - Today being in the school campus, do you feel that your school days memories have come alive? Sh. N. M. Mathur - “Yes. Well I passed from government school up to 8th. 9th 10th 11th I have passed from private school, 12th standard was not there at that time. I could recall my older days though there ambient classrooms were not there. No facilities and cleanliness but strict discipline was there in my time. Teachers used to give punishment beside there were good opportunities for sports and other fields. Awareness about school buildings were not there. Today Government schools are well painted .There was no consideration about classrooms. Even if anyone pointed out no one gave attention. Very rarely, parents devoted time to their children’s studies. So I have sweet memories in my mind.” To be very frank he compares today’s scenario with earlier one. Interviewer - Sir, who was your role model as a student and how did he or she inspire you to become a great human being? Sh. N M Mathur - No consideration, no thoughts but engineers at that time were considered elevated in the society. My inspiration was that I have to excel in all the examination for I have to become an engineer. Parent’s only thought about their children was either an engineer or a doctor. Our sincerity towards work is the virtue to hold the position what we have today. I believe in performing my duties well Interviewer - what is your vision for education facilities in RRVUNL townships and especially for Suratgarh Township? Sh. N M Mathur -My expectations are that good institutions should be here. Further expansion should be here due to arrival of new units. There will be large number of personals deputed here. So good quality of schools and colleges should be here. We should make world class townships. Institutions providing coaching for all fields should be here. Competition classes for Charted Accountant (CA), medical, engineering should be provided to students after their school’s education is over. I hope for the construction of better colonies with better educational facilities. I wish nearby villages’ school going children should join here.

Interviewer - Sir, you are our beacon light, your words will instill infinite energy in us, what would be your motivational words for us as our Patron?

Sh. N M Mathur - I wish that students studying here should excel in board examinations and universities. Team Litera Vista - We are highly motivated and guided with your words, and express our deepest gratitude to you for providing us this chance to know your noble thoughts. We wish to be always in your prayers and blessings. We pray our rich gratitude to Sh. N. M. Mathur sir for sparing a slice of blessed precious moment from his hectic schedule.

Thank you sir for making our day.
