SureStop® Haemostatic Gauze is a safe and effective haemostatic agent made from Oxidised Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) derived from plants. On contact with blood or exudate the gauze becomes a viscous gel that fills wound voids, seals capillary ends, and activates the clotting system.
The dressings can be removed painlessly and without interruption to the wound site.
The product is pH neutral, bacteriostatic, non-irritating and non-cytotoxic.
The products are FDA approved and CE Marked as a Class IIa Medical Device.
SureStop® Haemostatic Gauze
Made of a soft white knitted fabric, SureStop Haemostatic Gauze quickly transforms into a viscous gel on contact with the wound site, filling wound voids, sealing capillary ends, and activating the clotting system thereby helping to stop the bleeding.
SureStop® Trauma Bandage
For use in major trauma including military casualty. The product comes in the form of a thick bandage that can be wrapped around or packed into the wound site offering both a rapid and sustained haemostatic effect and helping to preserve the wound site for clinical treatment.

SureStop® for wound application products contain SureStop® haemostatic gauze, which is a safe and effective haemostatic agent made from Oxidised Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) derived from plants. On contact with blood or exudate the gauze becomes a viscous gel which fills wound voids, seals capillary ends, and activates the clotting system. The dressings can be removed painlessly and without interruption to the wound site. The gauze is pH neutral, bacteriostatic, non-irritating and non-cytotoxic.
SureStop® Island Dressing is a conformable fabric Island Dressing, comprising a non-woven adhesive fabric and a non-adherent, absorbent wound pad with a haemostatic gauze layer. The dressing conforms comfortably to most body surfaces, provides a sterile barrier over the wound, decreases the need for multiple layers of gauze, surgical pads and tapes, and allows for effective drainage of exudates causing less trauma to healing tissue.
SureStop® Island Film Dressing has the same benefits as the fabric island dressing but with a breathable, waterproof, film back providing a sterile barrier to reduce infection risk. The product also allows patients to shower without disrupting the wound site. Both dressings offer hypoallergenic adhesive for sensitive skin.
SureStop® First Aid Strip and Dot Dressings can be used for minor wounds or cuts, and are suitable for inoculation or dialysis sites, for example, where there is a minor bleed to contain. SureStop First Aid Strips and Dot Dressings will stay in place as long as is needed, and conform well to all body extremities.

SureStop® for ENT Application

SureStop® Nasal products are specifically designed to stop nasal bleeding quickly and effectively. The products combine a highly absorbent sponge that expands inside the nasal cavity on contact with blood to exert pressure on capillaries, with the delivery of the haemostatic agent direct to the wound site resulting in rapid haemostasis.
There are 3 products for nasal applications:

Description: Nasal sponge infused with haemostatic powder. Use: Short-term nasal (2 hours max.)

SureStop® Silicone Gel Sheet is a soft, self-adhesive silicone gel sheet, with one side lined with a silicone gel and the other side either a transparent film or a soft, flexible fabric. The dressing is comfortable and convenient to use.
SureStop® Silicone Gel Sheet is intended for use in the management of closed hyper proliferative (hypertrophic and keloid) scars. Silicone Gel sheet can also be used to prevent the formation of keloids around the scare site in patients prone to keloid scars. SureStop® Silicone Gel is recommended for use with scars from burns, injury, surgery, acne and chickenpox.
How it works:
• Restores homeostasis helping preserve moisture and allowing greater oxygen flow• Effects tension on the scar, gently stretching the area• Stimulates blood flow into the scar and surrounding tissue• Softens the scar tissue, effects more natural colouring, reduces irritation.

Use: Long term. Reusable until the product disintegrates, then discard. Recommended use for up to 12 hours a day. 1 Silicone Gel Sheet can be used for approximately 30 days.

Trial results
A six month 50 subject randomised clinical on post-traumatic, hypertrophic and keloid scars demonstrated significant improvement in scar tissue thickness, pigmentation, pain, itchiness and pliability. Statistical significance was shown after just 2 months.

SureStop® Hydrogel and Hydrocolloid Dressings for Wounds and Burns
SureStop® Hydrogel Dressings are sterile wound and burn dressings which contain a non-resorbably matrix of polyethylene and polyvinyl alcohol polymers and are free of anti-microbial agents.
SureStop® Hydrogel Dressings are intended for covering a wound, to absorb wound exudate, to control bleeding or fluid loss, and to protect against abrasion, friction, desiccation, and contamination.
Each dressing has a hydrophilic 3D structure with a high moisture content that regulates fluid exchange from the wound surface. This provides an optimal moist environment for wounds and burns, promoting granulation, epithelialization and autolytic debridement, cooling the wound and producing lasting pain relief.
SureStop® Hydrogel Dressings are suitable for use on partial thickness burns, skin donor sites, wound and epidermis defects, leg ulcers, pressure sores, and diabetic ulcers.
SureStop® Hydrogel is also available as a liquid. The sterile colourless transparent gel contains carboxymethycellulose (CMC), propylene glycol, calcium chloride and is free of antimicrobial agents.
SureStop® Hydrogel is squeezed into the wound surface then a secondary dressing is applied over the gel application (such as a transparent dressing to allow observation of the wound).

SureStop® Hydrogel Dressing
Description: Hydrocolloid dressing without adhesive border
Use: For covering a wound, to absorb wound exudate, to control bleeding or fluid loss, and to protect against abrasion, friction, desiccation and contamination.
SureStop® Hydrogel Wound Dressing (Liquid)
Description: A sterile colourless transparent gel containing carboxymethycellulose (CMC), propylene glycol, calcium chloride and free of antimicrobial agents.
Use: Squeeze the hydrogel into the wound surface with about 3mm thickness of the gel, then apply a secondary dressing over the gel application (such as a transparent dressing to allow observation of the wound).
SureStop® Hydrogel Adhesive Dressing
Description: Hydrocolloid dressing with adhesive border.
Use: For covering a wound, to absorb wound exudate, to control bleeding or fluid loss, and to protect against abrasion, friction, desiccation, and contamination.
