● Guiding Question: How can students be leaders of their own learning to deepen their critical thinking skills, reflect on their learning, and make their learning more relevant?o February 2015: Learning targets with a focus on the criteria

for success that can be used so students can self-assess, set their learning goals, and provide/give specific feedback related to the goal.

o March 2015: Review research about choices and the impact on student learning. Teachers will analyze their classroom practice to increase choice in relevant tasks.

o March 2015: Using questions to deepen student thinking with a focus on strategies and instructional techniques to lead students to develop their own questions for inquiry.
