● Center for Teaching and Learning, 2006-present
o Manage staff, strategic direction, and projects of the Center for Teaching and
Learning, inclusive of several faculty developers and faculty associates, an
instructional design team in the IDEA Shop (Instructional Design and Educational
Assessment), and the Service-Learning Program at Boise State. Oversee faculty
development and new faculty programming (e.g., New Faculty Orientation, CTL
Travel Grants, Summer Course Design Institute, Great Ideas for Teaching and
Learning Symposium).
● STEM Education Reform at Boise State University (2010-2018)
o Served as co-PI or PI on a series of NSF-funded projects (see below) aimed at
transforming STEM Education at Boise State University. Work was collaborative
with the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering; efforts
continue under the umbrella of the CTL.
● Mobile Learning Initiative (MLI), Boise State University, 2011-2013
o Co-led an interdisciplinary team (with IT, Instructional Design, and Library staff to
focus exploratory efforts over a two year period.
o Institutionalized several faculty development programs that originated in the MLI;
our campus has seen significant faculty engagement with mobile strategies as a result
of the initiative.
● Core Reform Task Force (co-leader)
o Co-led the team that redesigned the general education program at Boise State and
fostered initial faculty and institutional buy-in. Foundational Studies (our new
program) was launched in Fall 2012.
