SUSAN SUPAK WHITE HERON Inspired by John James Audubon’s The Birds of America, “White Heron” reflects my devoon to the serene beauty and grounding effect of the splendor of nature. Mir- roring Audobon’s intenon to paint every bird in America, my collecons demonstrate a desire to evoke the physical and psychological impact inherent in the natural scenes of wildlife and landscapes. The central theme behind my photography is to develop art as a pathway to connect to intrinsic themes that cannot easi- ly be expressed in words themselves, but are beer expressed through the symbolic character of images.
