Reto RinggerReto Ringger is the founder of Globalance Bank. Back in 1995, Reto Ringger founded SAM Group (www.sam-group.com), which he ultimately sold to the Robeco Group in 2008. Under his leadership, SAM grew to become a globally leading provider of sustainability investments. In 1997, SAM publicly offered the world’s first investment fund to focus solely on the theme of sustainability. Later, in colla-boration with Dow Jones & Co., SAM launched the first stock index for sustainable equities. And in 2001, it introduced the first private equity fund for cleantech investments. Prior to that, Reto Ringger held various positions in investment banking at a number of financial institutions, among others Swiss Re, UBS and Bank Vontobel. For his entrepreneurial successes, Reto Ringger has received many awards: for example, the Global Green Award from Green Cross International (www.cgi.com) for having launched the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, as well as the Cleantech Pioneer Award (www.cleantech.com) for establishing the world’s first globally diversified cleantech priva-te equity fund.Reto Ringger earned a degree in economics (lic.oec.publ.) at the University of Zurich. He is the President of the Board of Trustees of WWF Switzerland (www.wwf.ch) as well as an Executive Committee member of the Club of Rome (www.clubofrome.org).

Dr. Thomas ScheiwillerThomas Scheiwiller is an independent advisor and board member. He is a well-known expert in the areas of Sustainability, Integrity, Governance, and Compliance working primarily with senior management teams and boards of large multinational companies.Thomas has a PhD in Physics from ETH Zurich. He has previously worked as a Partner in PwC’s advisory business where he helped develop and headed their global sustainability business between 2000 and 2011. He was also the lead Partner for Governance, Risk, and Compliance services and a member of the Consulting Leadership Team in Switzerland. From2012-2013 he headed AccountAbility’s global advisory business. Thomas is a member of the Advisory Board of sosense, of the Global Advisory Council of Cornerstone Capital Inc., of the Advisory Council of SASB, and serves as a senior advisor to the Swiss Corporate Reporting Symposium. He teaches at the University of St. Gallen and the Zurich School for Applied Sciences, and the Lorange Institute for Business.

Dr. Jürg WyserDr. Juerg Wyser is advising in his role as Managing Partner of n-sure gmbh board members and audit committees on Compliance, Ethics and Responsible Leadership topics for a number of companies in Europe, Asia, the US and South America. As a former Senior Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) - leading PwC’s European Governance and Compliance practice for the last decade - he designed and implemented global ethics and compliance programs for various multinational groups, performed investigation and crisis management engagements and acted as board advisor for companies in Switzerland, the EU and in the US, mainly related to FCPA litigation cases; by leading teams of more than 200 consultants all around the world and operating in a number of different industries he is familiar and experienced with the leadership dilemma related to the implementation of sustainable integrity programs. Juerg also acted as ad interim Group Compliance Officer for 18 months for a European company to oversee and manage the implementation of a global compliance and ethics program. Juerg is one of the few compliance specialists who was “accredited” by the US authorities to participate in settlement negotiations with the US DoJ in the role of an independent examiner related to the design and effectiveness of his client’s Ethics program. Furthermore he supported for a couple of years with his team a US monitor in Europe as part of the Deferred Prosecution Agreement on behalf of the US authorities and a large European multinational company.

Dr. Heinke von SeggernHeinke von Seggern is Compliance, Sustainability & Supplier Diversity Leader at Roche. He is an expert in procurement and supply chain and has 20 years of experience in life sciences and the chemical industry. He joined Roche in 2009 where he built up Sustainability, Risk Management, Compliance and Governance in Procurement. Under his leadership, Roche became an industry leader in the DJSI supply chain and procurement area. He is procurement compliance officer and represents Roche in the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative, a Pharma Industry-wide collaboration on improving supplier sustainability standards. Heinke holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany. After his Post-Doc at University of California he worked for the Hoechst Group and Syngenta in various leading roles in R&D, Procurement and Supply Chain Management.

Dr. Michael Fürst Senior Manager, Corporate Responsibility Strategy & Innovation Michael has 15 years of experience in Corporate Responsibility and Integrity & Compliance in business as well as in academia. Since 2005, he is working for Novartis where he had responsibilities for the development and management of a behavioral-based integrity management program, one of the first of its kind. In 2006, he was respon-sible for conducting the first Materiality Analysis in Novartis that was repeated in recent years. In his current position, Michael works at the intersection of material societal challenges and enlightened business interests to create value for business and society. Michael was instrumental for developing the CR Strategy of Novartis that has a focus on inclusive business solutions that are scalable in nature, have a positive commercial impact and pursue the ultimate objective to increase access to healthcare for underserved patients in developing and developed countries alike. His current focus is on strategy implementation through driving the integration of material societal issues into corporate innovation and commercial activities.

Michael is the Secretary of the Corporate Responsibility Board of Novartis and was appointed as a Social Entrepreneur in Residence by INSEAD. He holds lectures at leading universities and business schools such as INSEAD, HSG, Thunderbird, IMD, Copenhagen Busi-ness School, ETH Zurich etc. and is publishing regularly about integrity management and Corporate Responsibility. Michael has a PhD in economics from the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. In 2006, he was awarded with the German Max Weber Price for Business Ethics for his scientific work.
