Sustainable, Effective and Efficient party
• Last Monday, we had a birthday party at our home for my daughter.
Fresh & Natural Beauty
• In the early morning, I picked some pink, red and yellow flowers. • And also green leaves
from my back yard trees.
Beauty & Recycled Glasses
• I put them in to some used but clean glasses with a nice arrangement.
• They would not be found either in flower shops or in vase shops.
• But, they were beautiful enough for our party.
Organic Foods
• I also picked many kinds of green organic vegetables and herbs from our little garden to make a beautiful but also delicious birthday party table.
Save & Reuse
• I washed the vegetables thoroughly, and then poured the used water into old big jars which are always standing on our kitchen sink.
• The jars are useful for watering our little organic farm.
Cakes & Candles• We often imagine many candles on a
expensive commercial cake would be used to welcome new ages.
• But, my daughter found birthday cakes are wasteful as she often could not eat them after lots of delicious food.
Find some alternatives
• So, she requested her friends to not to buy cakes for her.
• Actually, she decided to purchase one doughnut to stand one candle in.
• In fact, I decided to use one piece of sushi roll instead as she had forgotten to buy the doughnut.
Unusual Cake
• I also used one candle which had been saved from last time.
• Everybody enjoyed but also was excited by the unusual birthday cake.
Share and Reuse
• I packed one bunch of flowers with one piece of used but clean gift paper.
• And then, presented it to my friend who came with her lovely little son.
• Also, I packed some food in some used but clean plastic containers for her husband who was not able to come to our party.
After Party
• After party, I wisely used all of our left over foods.
• To do that, I had to store them well in a refrigerator.
