THE CREATIVE ARTSBLACK AND WHITE MASTERY WITH DAVID SUTTON
THE LIMITS OF A DIGITALCAMERA -AND HOW TO EXCEED THEM.Black and White Mastery
A one day workshop. Working with prints and projected images we will cover:
-the language of black and white-the artist’s palette-black and white conversion options (using Lightroom and Photoshop) and non-destructive workflows.
David says: “I have been photographing as long as I can remember. My first camera was a Kodak vest pocket, probably a Six-20. That smell of leather and polished wood lingers in the memory, as does the pungent odour of hypo and developer in the small darkroom I had as a teenager in the 1960s.
That magical process of image making has been revolutionised by the arrival of digital processes, and the ability to move past what a camera records and to realise in print what I envision has been liberating.
I have been exhibiting, lecturing and teaching since 2008. You can visit my website at www.davidsutton.co.nz
