Parking Info - Update from Cassie Bean, Student Services Manager
We realize parking is a challenge with the construction in Downtown Minneapolis, so we are pleased to announce four parking options starting Monday, September 19th:
NEW VALET PARKING SERVICEThere will be clearly marked signs directing you to our new valet parking service which will be the alley way just off 2nd Street east of the building. Valet parking will be available at these times: Valet Parking dates/times:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:45-12 pm and 4:00-7:45 pmWednesday: 8:45- 2:30 pm and 4:30-7:45 pm Valet Parking cost:1-2 hours - $15 NEW DROP OFF ZONETo assist MacPhail families and students with pick up and drop offs, parking spaces on 2nd Street directly in front of our building have been designated for student pick up and drop off. These designated spots will be clearly marked and monitored to ensure they are reserved for our community only. NEW RESERVED PARKING AFTER 5 PMYou may purchase a reserved parking spot for the night of your class or lesson. The spots are available after 5 pm. in the Portland Ave ramp next to MacPhail. Passes can be purchased at Student Services front desk for $75.00 and will be valid for the remainder of the fall semester. We anticipate that these passes will be in great demand as we have a limited supply, so you’ll want to act fast! We will notify you once they are available for purchase within the next few weeks. PARKING DEBIT CARDSWe continue to offer parking passes for $30 value to be used at the Depot Parking lot. These passes are in limited supply but a great option as they lock in prices even during events, and provide a 15% discount.
We are excited to offer these new options as our community continues to grow and evolve with the thriving Mill District/East Town area of the Minneapolis Downtown. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the MacPhail Student Services Center directly at 612-321-0100. Your feedback will be especially welcomed as we roll out these new parking options.

10 Performance ClubHave you ever noticed the large glass panels on the 4th floor of MacPhail Minneapolis with students names and pieces on it? You can be on this too by completing the following guidelines with the help of your studio teacher:
-Confirm with your teacher that your piece is polished and ready for performance. -Perform the same piece 10 times. -Perform in front of a live audience. -Perform at a live event.
Your studio teacher will help you decide if the event counts as a performance. To be included on the 2015 board, start setting up performances now! Remember - professionals perform the same piece in several places all over the world. The 10 Performances can be completed in any length of time. We publish names on the panel for those students who have completed 10 Performances by December 31, 2016.
