NAT Improvement for Registration Timers The registration and subscription timers for DT700 terminals using NAT often need to be less
than those for local terminals
With R9 software the timers can be set independently
NAT timers need to be short to prevent the Router/Firewall blocking the ports
Local timers can be longer to reduce network load
NetLink Improvement for Buffer Operation The buffering operation for data sent via NetLink has been enhanced to allow the sending of
DTMF digits to remote analogue trunks
The buffer time has been reduced to improve all data and the system will also send DTMF digits immediately, this is required for sending on to analogue trunks
The buffering operation is an optional setting for NetLink connections
It works by grouping together small packets of data and sending as a single larger packet, this can reduce network load and is useful when low bandwidth connections are used

F-‐Route Enhancement for Call History Calls made from the incoming call history can now be routed via F-‐Route
This ensures that outgoing calls follow the system configuration for F-‐Route rather than directly seizing the trunk
VRS Message – Prohibit DTMF Detection The system can be setup to not detect DTMF digits during a VRS message played to incoming
Auto Attendant callers
The caller will hear the complete message and then be transferred to the fall over group if setup, useful for ‘Announcement Messages’
The setting is optional per VRS message

Mobile Extension – Progress Tone
Callers using the Mobile Extension feature can hear a Progress Tone rather than Ringback Tone while the call is routing to the mobile destination
(Ringback tone can be confusing if the mobile extension is busy as the caller can hear Ringback tone (while the call is being routed) followed by Busy tone (when the call finally reaches the mobile phone)
VRS Dialling -‐ Single Digit Enhancement The Single Digit dialling for VRS Messages now allow more flexible routing options
Each single digit option can either route to the single digit destination or wait for further digits and route to a dialled destination

Caller ID – CLI Pass Through for Consultancy Calls
The SV8100 can send the Caller ID of the held party for calls being transferred on to another external destination
The external party will then receive the correct Caller ID
The held party can be either an external caller or an internal extension
This feature will also need to be supported by the Network Provider to send arbitrary CLI
SMDR Enhancement for Virtual Loops The SMDR output has been enhanced to allow the accurate tracking of calls that are routed
via the internal Virtual Loop
Calls routed via a Virtual Loop are split into two separate records on the SMDR output, this enhancement links these two records together to allow the call logger to identify the combined calls

R8 – Free Enhancement’s
(These features will be available without the need for any
licences to be purchased)
CLI on second IRG call
Incoming Ring Group Calls have always been able to ring
your phone while you are connected to an existing call,
however the CLI (Caller Line Identity) remained showing the
initial call and details were not shown for the second IRG
call. R8 allows users to see the CLI for the second IRG call
and therefore allows users to make more informed
decisions on how to handle the existing and new call.
Station Group Calls for Members with Parked Calls
Previously if a station group member put a call on Park Hold
they would not be able to receive any more calls until that
call was taken. R8 has taken this restriction away and
allows the station group member to continue answering
calls, even when they have put a caller on Park Hold,
allowing work to continue and increasing the group
member’s productivity.
Hotel Guest Name Indication
A number of possible Guest Name to phone scenarios have
been introduced for hotels using the SV8100 in previous
releases. The options are as follows:
Hotel room to hotel room
Non-hotel room to hotel room
Hotel room to non-hotel room
R8 now gives the users (hotels) the ability to configure
which items they would prefer to use, giving the customer
more flexibility, and enforcing privacy where required.

R8 – Free enhancements
Continued
Team Key
The Team Key function enhances the current Virtual Extension operation.
Previously when virtual extensions were ringing the virtual key would
only flash, and there would be no CLI. This sometimes restricted the
user’s ability to answer the call in the appropriate way. R8 will provide
the caller’s information (CLI) on the LCD for internal and external calls.
Additionally there are new ring tones to provide less distraction to the
users where required.
Simplified logoff for hot-desking
Logging out has been made much simpler in R8. Now a hot-desk agent
can hold down the exit button for 1 second and the exit prompt will be
displayed. This reduces the complexity of logging out, with no more
tiresome menu searching!
One Touch Keys
R8 makes speed-dialling easier by making the 10 stored speed-dial
numbers readily accessed by pressing the digit pad for 1 second. The
relevant number is displayed on the screen and dialled.
Warning tone for the IP-DECT
The R8 enhancements improves the tone type given for Out of Range or
Powered Off IP DECT phones. Rather than the standard busy tone (which
could confuse callers as they would think the phone was busy rather than
un-reachable) an unavailable tone is now given (A faster busy tone) to
give the caller more information and allows them to make quicker
decisions based on the status of the phone. This feature is available
across all standard SIP devices.
SMDR Buffer Expansion with MEMDB
Part of the R8 update includes an increase in the number of call records
stored should power be lost, the PC or network is off, or power-saving
initiatives have been enforced. Previously 320 records were saved, with
R8 this increases to 4000, building more resilience into the SV8100 and
allowing important information to be stored.
Once a connection returns records will be passed directly to any given
Call Logging package (such as MyCalls.)

SV8100 – R8 16/11/2012
Enhanced DND (Do not Disturb) operation
A handy feature key is a DND. When pressed on idle it will stop further calls
arriving at your extension. Previously however, when pressed during an
existing call, the incoming call was cancelled. This is not the most
professional approach to calls, and this method could be abused,
particularly in a UCB environment.
R8 introduces the ability to select the operation upon pressing the key, to
either cancel, or leave the call in place, but will set DND for further calls,
allowing a professional approach to be taken, and leaving choice to answer
the call at the user’s discretion.
Disable soft key
Introduced in R8 is the ability for users to disable soft key usage for a
terminal and can also limit menu keys. This option introduces more
flexibility for the user to lock down a terminal for example if being used in
an unattended or communal area.
Increased PC Pro Connection Accounts
Up to 200 sites can now be added to the menu for connection on the PC
Pro programming tool for the SV8100 allowing programmer’s easy access to
any one of their sites at any given time.

R8 Advanced Feature – Chargeable License needed
InMail enhancement – Answer Table from 8 – 16
The increase in answer tables from 8 to 16 in R8 gives the ability to enforce
more options for the Automated Attendant answering outside calls on each
line, according to time of day and day of the week via InMail. This provides
more flexibility, customisation and is particularly useful for non DDI or analogue
line users.
Dial Action Table from 16-32
More flexibility is now available for Dial Action’s with an increase in tables from
16-32. By providing a higher number of tables, the user has more control over
how they would like to set up their Dial Action tables, and customers are
provided with a wider number of options where necessary.
InMail Notification Queuing
R8 now gives the ability to queue notifications for a user’s phone so they only
become delivered during periods of activity. Previously notifications would only
be delivered during an active period of notifications, otherwise notification
would not occur. Now users are able to set notifications to queue, this gives the
customer more information at their convenience.
E.G. Notifications will queue from 5PM – 9AM the next morning, once
the user is active at 9AM the notifications will be delivered.
ACD Caller ID based routing
ACD agents can now press a function to tell the SV8100 to route future calls
from this Caller ID back to them (up to a week.) This feature takes customer
service to the next level, meaning the customer will speak to the agent they last
spoke with eliminating the need for them to repeat themselves. This feature
increases customer satisfaction and allows the agents to be more productive as
no time is wasted trying to find the last operative to deal with a specific
customer.
WebPro Improvement
The SV8100 now supports WebPro giving added functionality such as showing
dynamic information like Day/Night mode, call forwards and DND. System
alarms can be displayed via WebPro, ISDN status’s can be viewed and USB load
and save can be used. This enhancement gives users a dynamic additional
option to view information increasing flexibility.

between guests in a hotel environment. MyCalls takes full advantage of this
capability, meaning reports can be run and data can be analysed and used for
business purposes.

New Release Sales Update Oct 2011
R6 Free Enhancements (These features are available without any licences needing to be purchased. R6 level software available on Bluespheres)
Flexible CLI Previously, CLI would be fixed against a phone. Different CLI can now be sent out from an extension based on the trunk used. For businesses with phones which perform different functions, this is an excellent feature, allowing a call to be made in a different vein effortlessly.
For example, if a missed call is received from a certain department, the recipient could be directed straight back to the person or department that tried to contact them, rather than being routed to the normal company number.
Use of Telephone Book while call is held It is now possible to access the directory when placing a call on hold. This functionality, added to the screen as prompts, enables a call to be transferred easily even when the recipient doesn’t have the number to hand. It also makes giving a caller an alternative contact number over the phone quicker and easier.
Trunk route for Speed Dial entries Speed dials can now follow a trunk route rather than trunk group, meaning greater flexibility and overflow to different lines on a system.
This means that if a call goes through a Premicell that is busy, it can be routed through the main telephone system instead, to avoid an engaged tone. This feature can be used to increase call handling efficiency.
Mode Clamp Using this feature, changing mode to temporarily override the automatic schedule (such as on a Bank Holiday) can be done simply by pressing a button. This gives the customer easy control of their system.
Lock MIC Key The state of the Mic key when making or receiving a call can now be specified. For instance, the Mic key can always be locked to ‘on’ to prevent error of speaking with Mic off.

Email notification option enhancement Its easier to keep track of voicemail without checking in multiple locations with this option. Once the WAV file is sent via email it is automatically deleted from mailbox, meaning no need to manually delete the voicemail.
Console DSS transfer retrieval A call that is being transferred can now be retrieved if it is not answered simply by pressing the flashing button on the DSS Console. This can facilitate better service to callers, by taking back a call that has not been answered following blind transfer.
R6 Advanced Feature Licence Items (These features require an advanced licence. Download available on Bluespheres.)
Message Playback Options InMail now provides three new options for the playback of messages:
Auto play – users can choose to automatically playback new messages upon mailbox entry, without having to manually start playback, offering a time-saving benefit for frequent voicemail users.
Change playback order – depending upon the user’s preference, the message playback order can be changed between first in, first out or last in, first out.
Mark as new – a message can be marked as new after being listened to, making it easier to treat messages that have been listened to as unhandled if they require further action.

Outbound IP Connection for Programming Programming can now be done by dialling in to a DDI from a phone in your own office and receiving an IP data connection call back from the system to the PC Programming Tool, offering resellers additional flexibility. This centralised management only allows access to a pre-specified CLI. This is a useful security feature and can also aid in overcoming system firewall issues.

agent becomes available, they will start to receive the calls that they are best
equipped to answer straight away.
