1. PREAMBLE
ॐ अप�वत् प�वत् वा सवारववसाथ गत्ऽ�प वा ।
य् व्मरेपप्ुम्डा�थ स बाहयााय्तम् श�्च् ॥
The meaning is: The one who is impure or pure or even in all other conditions, one who remembers Pundarikaksha (another name of Lord Vishnu) becomes pure outwardly and inwardly.
Looking to the above message from one of the oldest literature of Indian Culture, the cleanliness has always been part of one’s inherent habit, whether internal or external. Keeping the above and following the Prime Minister's clarion call on 2nd October 2014 for each individual to devote at least 100 hours to Swachhata through the year, the Ministry of Human Resource Development in association with the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has launched the 'Swachh Bharat Summer Internship – 100 Hours of Swachhata'.
The program aims to:
• Develop the skill and orientation of youth for sanitation related work • Bring youth across the country an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the
swachhata revolution • Integrate youth in the community service in rural areas in the run up to the 150th birth
anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
For performing the above internship, a team was formed and Bhandariya village of Bhavnagar District (Gujarat) was selected. The team members are as follows:
The duration of the internship was from 28th June-2018 to 7th July-2018. For carrying out any activity in appropriate and successful manner, planning is mandatory requirement. Hence, after finalizing the duration for performing this internship in Bhandariya village, a tentative schedule was planned for performing various activities in a way that they should result into successful completion. The Government Engineering College, Bhavnagar had arranged transportation facilities to reach the location, which made this internship to run smoothly along with its reinforcement through in-house discussion and guidance received from respective mentors, time by time. The work distribution of daily activities was also discussed as well as carried out during the transportation, so that the activities can be performed without wasting of time after reaching to particular location. In addition to this, the basic details of village were collected. This was necessary for earlier planning of various activities, their prioritization, selection of needful area and their prioritization. The daily activities, their photographs and relevant description are followed next.
3. DAILY ACTIVITIES
The first day of an internship was door to door and commenced after formal informatory meet with Principal of school as well as Headman (Sarpanch). As per the planning, following activities were carried out successfully:

The second day of an internship was again door to door meet along with formal informatory meeting with Talati-Cum-Mantrishri (TCM) and as per the planning, following activities were carried out successfully :

The third day of an internship was covered with performing awareness campaigning, drawing competition and essay writing competition in primary school. As per the planning, following activities were carried out successfully:

The sixth day of an internship was reserved for explanation of concentric idea for essay & drawing competitions along with prize distribution. The day ended with door to door activities. As per the planning, following activities were carried out:

4. INTERNSHIP IMPACT AND OUTPUT
In context to the planning and respective performance of various activities as part of internship at Bhandariya Village, the resultant of the internship along with their impacts were analysed and presented here in the tabular format, as follows:

5. CONCLUSION:
The Swachh Bharat Summer Internship-2018 is an internship with the vision of generating contributive personality from inside and resulting into actual and active contribution towards society. The internship carried out throughout the above tenure satisfied the same. In addition, skill and orientation of youth for sanitation related works were performed door-to-door, with the motto of making “Beware” to make “Be aware”. The available household data were also collected to know the exact situation of village and its status of cleanliness. The planned activities were performed along with additional activities so that active contribution can be prolonged throughout the internship and even after its completion. The villagers were well behaved, polite and contributive enough, which led to the successful beginning as well as completion of the internship.

Finally, as the conclusion, the above picture speaks everything by itself, which are the comparison of “Before the internship” and “After the internship” status of the selected area of village. Hence,
