Observation of Swachh Bharat Pakhwada at Oil India Limited from 16th- 30th June, 2016

As a part of observation of Swachh Bharat Pakhwada from 16th June to 30st June, 2016 and creating awareness about the importance of cleanliness, following activities were undertaken by Oil India Limited (OIL) in and around its office premises and operational areas across the country:

1. Pledge taking ceremony: Pledge taking during the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada was undertaken by employees of Oil India Limited, across all its spheres in the country. All departments in the Fields Headquarters (FHQ) of the company undertook the pledge taking individually as well. In addition, pledge taking was also carried out in schools of OIL operational areas in and around its Fields Headquarters in Duliajan, Assam. 2. Clean your workplace initiative under Swachh Bharat Pakhwada: Clean your workplace initiative was

undertaken by various departments at OIL’s FHQ in Duliajan, wherein employees came together to clean up their office spaces (both within and in the immediate surroundings). Glimpses of the same are showcased below.

3. Documentary film show on Hygiene & Sanitation in schools : As part of the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada initiative at OIL, school children in schools in and around the company’s FHQ at Duliajan were shown documentaries on hygiene and cleanliness, to instill a sense of awareness regarding these issues in them.

4. Outdoor activity on “Clean your campus” in schools: As part of the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, school

students of schools in OIL’s Duliajan township participated in cleanliness activities in their school premises.

5. Drawing competition amongst school children on topics of general cleanliness : As part of the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, drawing competitions were held in schools in and around OIL’s Duliajan township, in which a large number of school children took part.

6. Tree plantation at various locations : As part of the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, tree plantation was carried

out at various locations of the company in and around its FHQ in Duliajan, Assam.

7. Special sessions with the students, teachers and elderly: Special sessions were carried out with the

students, teachers and elderly in and around OIL’s Duliajan township on topics of general cleanliness such as “clean your school”/“clean your community”, “benefits of cleanliness on health & hygiene”, “importance of attitude change”, etc.

8. A special session on OIL’s social responsibility of carrying out such a program and the company’s vision

of ushering in a clean & responsible India with special focus on OIL’s operational areas was also carried out as part of the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada.
