INTRODUCTION

• Swadeshi is termed as home made or our own.• Swadeshi actually means being

independent,self sufficient & being loyal to our country.

• “Swadeshi” was first coined during 1900 by Lolmanya Tilak.

• This was carried by father of Nation Gandhiji as well

Origin

• Bharat : meaning "Bha" means Light and Knowledge,

• "rata" means “Devoted”. • Bharat means "devoted to light as against

darkness". • It is derived from Sanskrit.• According to Forbes report Sanskrit is most

suitable language for development of software.

HISTORY

• The first ever idea of “Swadeshi” was given by Arya Chanakya.

• He saw the dream of Akhand Bharat.• He is also known as king – maker.• The concept of Ayurveda was brought by

• First university in the world was opened in india by chanakya named “Takshzilla”.

• Also our contribution towards science has always been noteworthy.

• Still our students prefer going abroad for education & higher monetory benefit

• Bharat have invented “Shatranj” better known as “chess”.

• Today this game is played world wide.• But some of our games like kabbadi & kho-

kho are yet to be known on international platform.

• Instead we love cricket which was actually played by England who ruled us.
